Chapter 61. In The Darkness

The next day, at the Ztatzav Orphanage
The atmosphere around the place was dark, but it was not yet morning. There was the sound of several people walking towards the place where the daughter of Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira was. However, they were walking in silence, as if they were focused on a very important matter, so there was no time for conversation at all.
When they were about thirty meters from their destination, a silver-haired man stopped walking, then turned to the seven others with him. “Now, we have to go around the orphanage. We should be in each corner in the places I told you before we came here. If each corner is full, you can stand in the center or other areas, but do not break our formation. Remember: be quiet so that the mortals do not wake up and see us,” he said, pointing at several buildings that were in the same area and not too far away.
“If we are standing in our selected areas, are we allowed to send out magick signals as usual, High Priest?” A woman asked in a low voice but could be heard by the other person.
“Sure, you may. I allow you to do that. The magick signal you create must be aimed at the sky so I can see it. After that, we begin the ritual of locking the orphanage, so that the emperor’s envoy cannot find the place. Do you understand?” Brazam replied seriously. The man’s tone was so authoritative that everyone who followed him became reluctant and did not dare to ask more questions.
“Yes, High Priest. We have understood.” The six people replied obediently.
“Great! Now we have to get there. Before sunrise, the ritual must be completed.”
All the people walking were wearing black robes and covering their heads with hoods that had become ones with the robes. They quickened their pace as if they did not want to lose the moment. Moments later, the eight mysterious people arrived in front of the orphanage, and they immediately split up according to the instructions of the High Priest, who was their leader.
I can’t let go of the Chosen One’s supervision. If the emperor were to find the girl and then kill her, then it would definitely be bad for our people. The ancient prophecy must be fulfilled, for we have waited so long for this, and I will do everything to make it true! A loyal servant of Goddess Magia was determined in her heart, and she was very serious that her wish would be carried out properly.
The gray-haired man walked towards the entrance of the orphanage. He sarcastically smiled as if knowing what had happened in that place, but he remained silent. A few minutes later, the silver-haired man looked up at the sky, but there was no sign of magickal signals from any of the witches who had come with him.
“I can feel the air of the Chosen One in this place. She had so much suffering, having to separate from her parents. If only Aufdzek’s ancestors had not betrayed Lord Utzkah, all would have been well. A broken glass cannot be put back together, and neither can the bad behavior of Emperor Droitzon.” Brazam said to himself.
Just as he finished saying so, the man spontaneously looked up at the sky, and then a magical signal in the form of a woman with three bodies, a face, and three pairs of hands and feet was clearly visible there. Without hesitation, Brazam immediately raised both hands, then pointed the palms at the main building of the orphanage, and the color of the eyes turned red.
“I, Brazam Gaelith, the Goddess Magia’s High Priest, at this moment seal the Ztatzav Orphanage from mortals, especially emissaries of Emperor Aufdzek. They will not see any buildings despite circling them a million times. If they ask the Seers for help, anyone who divulges this place’s location will be put to death by the Queen of Witches. This protection is forever and will only be lifted when it is time for the Chosen One to leave.” That man said solemnly, and from his palms came out a large red light encompassing every building there.
As it turned out, it was not only Brazam who did this, but the seven other witches also did the same, so that all the buildings there were covered in a similar light as if protecting the place and the figure of the Goddess of Witchcraft appeared in the air and stood floating in the center of the main building. She saw all the actions of her people and smiled happily.
“It turns out that my loyal servant was quick to respond. Brazam even took the initiative to come here with the seven other witches to create a magical fence around the orphanage building, including the girls’ dormitory where Alexa is. This way, everything can be safe, and my chosen one will be safe until the time comes. I wanted to see the extent of my people’s determination to fight for the rights that Aufdzek’s ancestors had long taken away. His ancestors have been owed blood, so he and all the people who support him must repay the debt.”
Brazam and the other seven witches remained in the same position. They continued to concentrate so much that the red light coming out of their palms became so intense it was almost black. The High Priestess and the witches ignored the cold night atmosphere. The female figure that still stood floating in the air began to extend her right palm towards the core building of the orphanage under the leadership of Madame Laveyny Aufrodine.
“I bless all the spells and rituals done by my people. The magical fence they made will continue to be here, even if Alexa leaves the orphanage and goes to the forbidden forest. No god or goddess should interfere, least of all Asiles.” Goddess Magia gave a blessing so that what the witches had done would not end in vain.
The same red light also came from the lips and palms of the immortal goddess so that they thickened the magical fence that had been created by the eight witches there. The buildings looked ordinary from the outside, but the Seers could see that the place was protected by a very strong magick, which was difficult for them to penetrate.

Meanwhile, on the fourth floor of the girls’ dormitory,
In a darkened room was a twelve-year-old girl who was still fast asleep. In the middle of the silence, a soft voice was heard right in the ear of the granddaughter of Sir Elmer Louis Writh and Madame Phoenix Lily Katira. “Wake up, Alexa.”
The name’s owner did not heed this, as she was still in dreamland. The chestnut brown-haired woman even shifted position from left to right and did not wake up at all. She looked calm, like she had not had a nightmare. “Alexa. Wake up. Look out the window.”
Alexa was still sleeping peacefully, but the young woman kept hearing the same voice that kept calling her name, even asking her to wake up. Over time, the beautiful woman changed as if disturbed by the voice that made changes to her face. However, she has not woken up because she still enjoys what is in the dream.
“Alexa, hurry up! Wake up now!” The voice appeared again, but this time, the body of the girl, who was still a noble descendant, was shaken violently. Such an event made the girl as soon as possible wake up in a state of confusion, as well as surprise, especially since Allexa’s consciousness had not been collected one hundred percent, which made her unable to digest what had happened.
“Was there an earthquake? Why did my body move so violently?” muttered Alexa, who was still very sleepy.
“Look outside the window. Now!” The voice came back and sounded rather keen, which shocked Alexa.
“Who is that?” asked the young lady as she looked around the room. There was no one else but her, which astonished Alexa even more. There was no answer from the disembodied voice, so the virgin became restless. However, sleepiness still overcame her body, so the hazel-eyed woman still lay on the bed with her eyes open.
“What kind of voice was that? I had no dreams when I was sleeping, but why am I hearing a strange voice now?” Alexa looked up and frowned, as she saw a very bright red light forming a sentence that was difficult for her to read.
The intelligent woman yawned, unable to resist sleepiness. Her curiosity was so great that Alexa looked up again. The girl tried to figure out the content of the message but to no avail. “Whoever did this is definitely not human. No normal person can make writing in the air unless they have magic.”
Seconds passed, and the girl who was often bullied at the orphanage became bored because what she was doing had not produced the desired results. “I must succeed in reading the writing. I want to know what the author of the message wants.”
“Alexa, do not sleep now. Look at the window.” Finally, after a while of trying, that teenage girl, who had a height of one hundred and seventy centimeters tall, managed to read the writing. She remained puzzled, as the event was very strange for her.
“What happened outside? How did that message end up in my room? Did something happen? Or are there criminals instead? Should I check the situation now?”
