In the medical room located at Ztatzav Orphanage,
A red-haired man paused, then looked at his three companions who had been with him for a long time. “It is getting late. Dinner will be here soon. Do you guys still want to stay here?” Samuel asked seriously.
“I will come with you, Sam.” A young girl with long, black hair said, which made the young man nod. However, the extrovert had yet to leave. Samuel was still waiting for the other two friends’ response, noticing they were still silent.
“What about you two? Do you want to come with us, or are you still in the medical room?” Samuel was forced to ask Aileen and Aiden, as they remained silent. Meanwhile, the first daughter of the couple, Tristian Varden Writh and Lavena Isolda Keira, observed one by one the people accompanying her there.
A young lady, who had a height of one hundred and sixty-five centimeters tall turned her head towards the bed that someone still occupied. That teenage girl was stunned but had no reason to avoid her. “How about you, Alexa? Come on, let’s go to the dining room together! I advise you not to stay overnight in this place because Madame Ethnia might get angry unless you are seriously ill and have to stay here for a few days.”
“Will I not be a nuisance if I come with you?” Doubt returned to the girl, so the other raised one eyebrow. Meanwhile, Sam, Adaline, and Aiden were paying attention to their conversation because it was more interesting. A young guy who had many freckles on his face even seemed to forget his questions to Aiden and Aileen.
“What do you mean? I do not get it.” The oval-faced woman was indeed confused by the question’s meaning, so she asked for more information from Alexa. The messenger of Goddess Magia tried to catch her breath. She still vividly remembered Odessa’s abuse, and it had successfully traumatized as well as saddened her.
“I… will you not be teased by the other kids if you walk with me?” Alexa clarified her question so Adaline’s twin sister understood.
“Calm down. Many kids in the orphanage were seen as Odessa, and her group got punished. They will not dare to insult you, at least for the next few months.” A tall, skinny young guy answered Alexa’s question and the young lady was relieved that the daily insults would finally stop, even if only temporarily.
I hated being insulted by the kids at this orphanage, but things are different now. I have four great friends, so I should spend more time with them. Let’s hope this pleasant situation lasts forever because I can’t stand the arbitrary behavior of Odessa and her friends, thought Alexa, who had been holding back anger at the enemy for a long time.
“In that case, I would like to go with you to the dining room. We have to call Madame Ethnia.” Aileen’s smile grew as she heard her friend’s willingness. In his heart, Aiden also felt the same way as Aileen, but he kept everything to himself, lest others find out and become ridiculed.
“I will call her. You just wait here.” Unexpectedly, a loyal young man volunteered even though no one had asked him to do so. When Alexa was about to call out to the young boy to stop him, Samuel had already walked ahead, making it difficult to stop him.
“Alexa,” Aiden called out. The name’s owner turned to him as soon as possible. “If I may make a suggestion, you have to walk straight. Do not mind what people think. Be confident.”
“Thank you. I will try to follow your pieces of advice.” The sharp-nosed girl felt strange about the suggestion, but Alexa appreciated the advice of the opposite sex, so she said so to her.
“Do you think the news of Odessa and her friends being punished in the detention center has become a trending topic in the orphanage?” Adaline deliberately opened up a new topic of conversation as a distraction, as she was beginning to dislike the familiarity between Aiden and Alexa.
“I think the news has spread to all circles. The more people who know about Odessa and her group being punished, the better the impact. They will not dare to misbehave with Alexa. If there are still kids who want to do the same thing, then the detention center is waiting to be used by them. It would be fun, though.” Aiden could only imagine that the bad things he would hear about the underground detention center actually happened to other kids.
The hazel-eyed girl listened to the conversation between Aiden and Adaline. Alexa’s attention was distracted because when she turned to a door that was a special place for Healers, there was a young man she recognized walking with two women. Aiden was intrigued by what the opposite sex was seeing, so he turned in the same direction, as did Adaline and Aileen. The four teenagers seemed to be focused on Madame Ethnia, Sam, and the woman walking with them.
“Who is the person next to Madame Ethnia? I just saw her.” Alexa asked her three friends, as she felt unfamiliar with the figure near the Healer. When the three were about to approach them, a girl with short, black hair seemed to know the answer, so Aileen took the initiative to tell the Chosen One, who was still curious.
“If I am not mistaken, she was Lady Menka. She is Madame Ethnia’s assistant. You may not see her often, as she is often in the room reserved for them only.” Aileen answered Alexa’s question, which made the young woman nod. Meanwhile, Adaline and Aiden were still watching the three people who were getting closer to the place where they were.
“Ah, I see. Thank you, Aileen.” The girl, who had a height of one hundred and seventy centimeters, expressed her gratitude as the interlocutor had deigned to answer her high curiosity.
“You are welcome. If you are cleared, then the five of us will have dinner together in the dining room.” That young girl who could sense the supernatural again reminded Alexa to come with them to enjoy the meal that was provided by the orphanage together.
“Yes. I will gladly join you guys. I hope everything is fine so I can be allowed to go there.” Sir Elmer Louis Writh and Madame Phoenix Lily Katira’s granddaughter agreed by adding a condition at the end of the sentence she had expressed to the interlocutor.
“Sure.” That was all Aileen said. She quickly ended the conversation as Sam, Lady Menka, and Madame Ethnia had already arrived near Alexa’s bed.
“Hello, Alexa. Sam said you wanted to go home?” The full-figured woman asked kindly to reduce the awkwardness between them.
“Yes, ma’am. I am going to my room, but I must go to dinner with my friends. They have already picked me up.” Alexa replied politely, as that was exactly what she wanted to do with Sam, Aiden, Aileen, and Adaline.
“Okay. Let me check your condition first.”
After saying these words, the Healer began to extend her right palm, and then began to move to the patient’s head area. Madame Ethnia’s palm did not touch Alexa’s limbs, but the young lady felt a sensation of warm energy coming from it. Meanwhile, the four teenagers were watching, as was Lady Menka. No one was having a conversation, as if what the thirty-seven-year-old woman was doing had hypnotized them.
When the Healer’s palm was on the calf area, and she did not find any health problems, the silver-haired woman stopped checking and then looked at the patient. The other four teenagers were also waiting for Madame Ethnia. “I have finished checking your condition. You are healthy enough, but that does not mean you can do anything freely. Keep getting plenty of rest, and do not do unnecessary activities. You have to take some rest. After dinner in the dining room, you can go straight back to your room.”
“Thank you, Madame. Yes, I will follow your suggestion.” Slowly, the girl changed her position. The person in charge of the medical room also helped her patient so that the poor girl could get out of bed. When Alexa was standing on the floor, the first daughter of the couple, Tristian Varden Writh and Laven Isolda Keir looked at the faces of Adame Ethnia and Lady Menka with a happy expression.
“Thank you for healing my wounds and restoring me, Madame. I want to leave soon..” Alexa said goodbye, as she was already feeling much better than when she first entered the medical room. The Healer smiled at the interlocutor, even though she knew the young girl’s origins.
“You are welcome. Be careful; do not fall or get hurt again.”
“I will try to prevent it, Madame.”
The five teenagers turned around and then walked hand in hand. Madame Ethnia and Lady Menka watched them until they were out of sight, and the medical room was quiet again. “Alexa is already a teenager. Does this mean the ancient prophecy will be fulfilled, Madame?” the assistant asked.
“I do not know yet, Menka. One thing is for sure, whatever is Goddess Magia’s business, we should not interfere. Let that goddess do as she pleases, for it is all her business,” replied Madame Ethnia, who was too lazy to get into trouble with the Queen of Witches.
“Then, what about the future-”
