At forty weeks of Lavena’s pregnancy,
A woman with blonde hair looked challenging to descend the stairs. At the same time, the husband was guiding his lovely wife, even though his face looked worried. “Let me carry you downstairs, Wifey. I can’t leave you like this.”
Sweat seemed to wet the forehead of the young mother-to-be so that the opposite sex wiped it with her glove hand. “Yes, Hubby. Please do it, because I can’t move anymore. It really hurt me.”
As soon as possible, a twenty-five-year-old man carried his lovely spouse after getting her approval. The green-eyed woman endured constant pain in the stomach area, but she chose to remain silent as if she wanted to swallow all the suffering alone. The female fetus was moving more and more, thus adding to the pain inside the wife of Tristian Varden Writh.
A few moments later, the man, who had a height of one hundred and eighty-five centimeters tall had arrived at the ground floor. He hurried to get to the front, precisely, to the horse carriage waiting there. “If you feel sick, you can close your eyes and go to sleep, Wifey. I will wake you up when we get to the hospital.”
“No, Hubby. I can’t do that, because my belly hurts so much.” Lavena rejects her husband’s idea. However, her lovely husband did not mind it, because he was more focused in another direction, so he did not respond to such remarks.
They arrived at the front area, precisely near the horse carriage. The coachman swiftly opened the door, and then the husband and wife entered it. The horse carriage moved slowly, leaving the luxurious residential area. However, apart from the carriage, there were four men riding horses following Lavena and Tristian. Two men walked in front of the horse-drawn carriage, and the rest walked behind as if escorting the master, Mr Writh, and his wife.
Tristian looked at his lovely lady. Sweat was still wet on her forehead, so the burly man spontaneously reached into his trouser pocket, took a handkerchief, and wiped Lavena’s sweat afterwards. “Wifey, hang on. We are going to the hospital.”
“Yes, Hubby. I tried. Thank you.”
After saying this, there was a sound of thunder booming, so such a moment took them all by surprise. The wind was blowing hard, which made it difficult for the coachman to run the horse-drawn carriage. In less than a minute, the sky became cloudy, and it was visible from the train window. Tristian and Lavena were confused because the initially sunny weather changed drastically in the blink of an eye.
“What is going on, Hubby?” asked Lavena, worried.
She rubbed the stomach where the fetus’s movements were getting more precise, making the sharp-nosed woman nervous. At the same time, the red-haired man frowned because he saw this unusual natural phenomenon and thought about what caused such an event.
“I do not know, Wifey. It is weird because the weather was still sunny,” said Tristian, confused.
That lightning flashed again, accompanied by heavy rain, which prevented the coachman from doing much. A horseman was at the front, trying to wave his hand, hoping he would see a sign from him. The horse carriage stopped moving, caused by the unfavorable weather.
Before long, Dresden stared ahead, where one horseman seemed to be swinging his arms at him. Meanwhile, the horseman seemed relieved because he had achieved the goal. “What happened?” asked the coachman.
The man deliberately shouted so that the intended person could hear his voice. Meanwhile, from inside, the horse carriage did not really listen to the sound coming from outside. Lavena was still holding back the pain because the time for her baby’s birth was closely near. She rubbed the stomach area while controlling her breathing to divert the pain caused by contractions.
Tristian had not realized what his wife is going through. He pulled back the curtain that closed the window on the horse-drawn carriage. There was lightning in the sky, so this made the red-haired man worried. “Hopefully, we can continue the journey. I hope Dresden and the four bodyguards are okay. If it was not for my wife about to give birth, then we would not be here for sure,” he muttered softly.
On the other hand, the guard who had called the coachman took a while before he could digest the other person’s words because the heavy rain had made their voices barely audible.
“Mister Zrant, are you still strong enough to drive the carriage slowly, even though it is raining now? We will continue to drive from here. If later we find out something strange, we will inform you,” replied the brown-haired man, who used the exact intonation of his voice as the other person.
Dresden nodded in response, so the two horsemen resumed their journey. The coachman moved again the second time so the carriage could move, albeit at a plodding speed. Meanwhile, a husband and wife in the carriage could not hear the conversation between their two subordinates clearly, so Tristian and Lavena were silent.
A woman about to give birth was still feeling pain in the stomach because the child was still moving actively as if she could not wait to get out of the womb. “Be patient, my love. Mom and Dad are on their way to the hospital. Do not kick too hard,” Lavena mumbled, rubbing her belly.
“Are you okay, Wifey?” Tristian asked, curious. The emerald-eyed man heard the murmur of his beloved spouse, so he, as soon as possible, asked the woman he loved. The pale-faced woman turned to the side and saw her husband, who was really worried about her condition.
“It is okay, Hubby. I am just worried about the current situation. I am afraid that we will come late to the hospital, especially now that it is raining heavily,” Lavena replied, forcing herself to smile.
“Yes, Wifey. I hope not, but I think it is impossible.”
The sound of thunder boomed, so the beautiful woman screamed a little because of the fear that hit her. Tristian was also surprised, but the reaction of his mate triggered him. A man with a bushy beard and sideburns embraced the body of his beloved wife, then kissed the top of his head.
“Do not be afraid, Wifey. I am here. You are not alone,” Tristian whispered. That man who would soon become a father felt his wife’s body tremble, so he felt the need to calm his spouse. Lavena just nodded in response because the intelligent woman still felt the pain coming from her stomach and had been holding it in for a long time.
The atmosphere in the horse carriage was quiet again because they had no conversation anymore. The husband and wife only heard rain and the sound of horses carrying the carriage. Meanwhile, the coachman and the four horsemen who were bodyguards of Tristian were struggling hard in order to get Lavena to the hospital safely.

One hour and fifteen minutes later,
A horse carriage arrived in front of the hospital. It was still raining, though not as hard as before. A coachman got down from his seat and hurried to open the horse-drawn carriage door. Not long after, they saw a burly man holding a woman who was pregnant and enduring pain. Their expressions looked tense, especially the face of the head of the family.
In less than five minutes, the only daughter of the couple, Sir Alex Martinus Keira, and Madame Gabrielle Atventz Meira were already in a room. There, she was accompanied by her beloved man, who seemed reluctant to leave Lavena alone. “I will be by your side, Honey. Keep strong, Wifey.”
“Yes, Hub… by.” Lavena stammered a little when she mentioned her favourite nickname for a man who had accompanied her in joy and sorrow for three years. Now, the sharp-nosed woman was trying to breathe regularly, even though this condition was complex for her to do.
There was a knock on the door, and they turned to look. A doctor and a nurse entered the room and approached the husband and wife. “Good afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Writh. I want to check Madam’s womb. Please wait outside, sir.”
The emerald-eyed man’s expression was disapproving, so he tried to negotiate. “Can I accompany my wife, doc? I want to know about the condition of our baby.”
“For that request, then I will-”
