“What? No, I shouldn’t. You’re the Alpha here. I can’t disrespect you like that,” Olive counteracted and looked away.
“Does Dolly call me Alpha?” Wayne asked.
“She’s your sister. And also an Alpha female in this pack. What am I?” she asked casually and shrugged.
“My mate. And future Luna,” he answered her casual question.
She froze and stared at him.
“Future…Luna?” she asked unbelievably.
“What? Don’t tell me you didn’t know you were going to be my Luna.”
“I…I didn’t think you’d…you’d accept me. I tried to kill you, remember?”
“And I tried to kill you too, remember?”
How could she not remember? The whips from Cynthia, the mockery from his men. The fear when he was approaching her. That was one of the worst fears of her life.
“Besides, do you think I would have met my mate if she didn’t try to assassinate me?” he asked and Olive gulped.
That was quite meaningful. She had fought against the order that she would be the one to kill him. She had regretted going on the mission even after she woke up in his room. But truly, she wouldn’t have been free from the evil clutches of the cult if she hadn’t gone on that one mission.
“Fate, maybe?” she asked and chuckled. She looked around and it was already dark.
“Let’s head back, Alpha,” she said and immediately remembered what he had just told her. She looked at his face which was in a frown already.
“Wayne. Not Alpha, but Wayne,” she corrected herself. He released his face and swam to the bank with her. As she stepped out, he thought she looked like a goddess with the water washing down her body. That body that made him aroused just by staring at it. Suddenly, he got an overwhelming urge of protectiveness over that body. No one must see it except him. No one should hurt that body.
Olive was shy as they both got dressed. But since he wasn’t even sparing her a glance, she relaxed.
They were soon on their way to the car. They walked in silence, but Wayne’s strong arm didn’t leave Olive’s waist. She felt protected and she relaxed in his grip. They soon reached the car faster than they had left it. He helped her sit in, got in himself and drove out.
They took a fast ride and soon reached the castle. The guards ran to the car as it was parking and stood waiting for them to come out. When they came out, they bowed to their Alpha and surrounded them. Olive was trailing behind Wayne so he stopped and gestured for her to come closer to him. When she did, he pulled her to himself by her waist and began to walk the way.
As they walked towards his elevator, Gia and her female guards were walking out from a double door at the far side of the large lobby. She saw them as they walked intimately into his elevator. The guards who had been accompanying them didn’t enter with them.
“Sin, get me every single information you can grab about that girl. Do not leave even the most irrelevant information out,” she commanded her personal guard who was standing by her right.
“Yes, ma’am,” Sin replied.
Gia stared at the closed elevator and her jaws clenched. Where had they gone that they were returning after hours? And why was her once braided hair now loosened?
She curled her fists at the thought of what might have happen.

Cynthia’s face was in a terrible frown as she walked through the empty and dark hallway that led to the meeting hall. She reached the large iron door where two mean looking men were guarding. They immediately opened the door as she approached them then bowed for her to enter.
She marched in with elegance and vigour. Her heeled boots making noise against the solid floor. She walked until she reached the large meeting table, with the chairs of all the high people of the cult. Right at the head chair was a man smoking a pipe and swiveling.
“Why have you just returned, Cynthia? And why is the news of death not reaching my ears yet?” the man’s creepy voice rang. It was slow, and icy. Cynthia fell on her knees immediately.
“Forgive me, Master. But our plan failed. Olive is still alive,” she said firmly.
“And why is that? Cynthia?” his voice was chilly and Cynthia shuddered with fear. She could be killed after this, because she failed.
The cult had wanted to get rid of Olive but couldn’t do that simply. She was one of them, and had sworn an oath to the cult. So, the cult couldn’t exterminate her because she was their own. They had to strategically plan her mur. der, for someone unrelated to them to kill her.
Cynthia had been sleeping with The Big Bad Alpha after meeting him at an exclusive VIP club. So, Cynthia approached her father with the idea that they should send Olive to him. The plan was so good that Cynthia received accolades from the higher-ups, and they promised to reward her greatly.
Cynthia loved Alpha Knight, she wanted to be his Luna. And the way he acted towards her, he showed great interest. And treated her different.
When she approached him with the secret information that she overheard the plan of his assassination from The Vrek Cult, he was pleased with her. And they made a very long night of intimacy. She didn’t tell him who was coming, but made him think it was serious. To her, she was killing two birds with one stone. Getting rid of her rival and getting the man she desired.
Alas! The stone she used missed both the birds and sent them flying in a direction of big trees where they could disappear from her sight. Olive and the Alpha were mates. How was she going to report this and still be left to live. Now, Olive had been freed from the cult.
“I asked, why is that?” the master asked again, snapping her out of her reminisce. She jerked and fell on her arms too.
“My Lord, forgive me. Olive…she is Alpha Knight’s mate,” Cynthia cried.
The man jerked up as he stared down at Cynthia, his pipe slipping off his hands. Sweat immediately formed on his forehead as heat erupted out his body. Few seconds later, he relaxed on his swivel nervously. He rubbed his beard.
“This is unexpected,” he drawled. Cynthia was still crying in that position, her head bowed.
“Because of this, she has become even more harder to kill because Alpha Knight would protect her.” He got on his feet and stood few feet from Cynthia who was trembling.
“But, she is now free from the bond of The Vrek Cult, and we can go at any length to assassinate her. Once and for all.”
