Wolf’s Dilemma

Book:The Billionaire Alpha Contract Lover Published:2024-8-20

Taya had planned to tell him about her departure after she got out of bed. Since Griffon had taken the initiative to ask, she could take the opportunity to ask him.
“He must have something urgent to discuss with me. Please have someone take me home.”
“Are you so anxious to see him?”
Griffon looked down at her from where he stood, towering above her. Under the shadows of light, his face looked even more sinister and frigid.
“Yes.”
Taya was a little afraid of him but still nodded, against her heart’s wishes.
Even if she would rather not see Jackson, she had to leave immediately.
Since Griffon was planning his mating ceremony to Tara, it was inappropriate for Taya to stay at his house overnight.
She had only forgotten about his mate-to-be because she had been touched by the warmth he showed.
Now that she had completely woken up, she felt she should no longer be entangled with a man with a fiancee.
Taya looked calm, but there was a hint of anxiety in her eyes. It seemed that she couldn’t wait to leave.
When Griffon saw her like this, the complicated emotions he felt gradually disappeared and were replaced by coldness.
“It’s only been a day since you two parted, and you miss each other so much. It appears that you two have rekindled your love.”
In the face of his sarcasm, Taya did not explain anything. She lowered her long eyelashes to hide her eyes.
Seeing that she was silent, the shifter became increasingly livid, and his hand holding her chin became more and more uncontrollable, claws starting to come out and poke into her flesh.
“Didn’t you say you don’t love him anymore? Why do you still want to get back together with him?”
Trying to ignore the sharp pain in her chin, Taya smiled at him.
“I could be your lover for many years even though I don’t love you. Why can’t I rekindle my love with him?”
She didn’t know if the first half of her sentence made him choke or the second half made him so angry that he was speechless.
Taya looked up at him and saw that his eyes were completely his wolf’s right now. There wasn’t just the hint of his wolf…it was But she quickly suppressed the emotion she couldn’t help feeling for him.
Griffon suddenly pressed down on her and pressed her against the bed. His lips were almost pressed against hers.
He didn’t touch her, but such close contact instantly made her suppressed feelings rise again.
“Didn’t I warn you that Jackson is the future son-in-law of the Knight pack? How dare you be with him?
“Do you think that after he called off his mating, you will have a chance to become his new mate? That’s why you’re eager to rekindle your old relationship?”
If she hadn’t heard with her ears that his thoughts about her were limited to his physical needs, Taya would have surely thought that he was jealous.
Fortunately, she no longer had any expectations of him, so she remained unmoved by what he said.
“Alpha Knight, you know I want to marry into a wealthy pack for protection, and now that my ex-lover has come knocking, naturally, I’m tempted. As for the warning you gave me, you said he was the future son-in-law, but no one knows what will happen, right?”
Her question made Griffon feel she didn’t even care about her dignity and had no limit to how low she would stoop.
No wonder after learning about Jackson’s broken engagement, she moved into his house and went in and out of hotels with him.
Did she think that as long as she could control Jackson, she didn’t have to take the Knight pack seriously? That she could look down on Griffon?
She was provoking him…but what about him? What was he doing? He kept going to her again and again…
Griffon stared at her pale face and wished he could strangle her to death with his claws, but… he couldn’t bear to do that.
“Taya, you really don’t know what’s good for you…”
After a long moment of silence, Griffon slammed the door and left.
Taya heaved a sigh of relief.
She thought that since she had fallen out with him, he would send someone to take her home.
Not only did he not send someone take her home, he also asked Frank to take good care of her.
He had never appeared again, as if he had completely forgotten about her.
Stella had given her special medicine for heart failure for the past few days, and her body had quickly recovered from the very worst of her symptoms.
She could leave the bed and walk, but her body was still fragile. Just getting up and going to the bathroom was enough to half-destroy her.
Stella said that special medicine could relieve pain and symptoms, but it wouldn’t extend her life. She was destined to die as scheduled, and no one could save her.
When Taya came out of the bathroom with the help of the bathroom wall, Stella was packing her medical items up. Seeing that Taya was sweating, she quickly walked over to help her.
“Taya, you’d better go to the hospital for the last treatment.
Don’t force yourself. You won’t be able to stand it…”
“No.” Taya shook her head firmly.
Stella sighed. “Alpha Knight will find out if you keep doing this.”
Taya pursed her lips and forced a smile. “So… Stella, can you please take me away from here?”
Stella gave a helpless smile. “No one dares to take you away without Alpha Knight’s permission.
Taya did not make things difficult for Stella anymore. With her help, she sat down on the bed again.
Stella picked up the water gla*s next to her and handed it over. “You probably can’t eat much now, so drink something.”
Late-stage heart failure patients were prone to stomach bleeding if they ate too much, so they could only rely on water to maintain hydration.
However, it wouldn’t be long before she couldn’t even drink water.
When Taya took the water, she looked up and wanted to thank Stella, but she saw the scratches on her face.
“Stella, what’s the matter?”
She didn’t look closer at Stella when she was doing her checkup and IV.
Now she saw the deep nail marks on her face and realized she had been injured.
Stella touched her face and said calmly, “A patient scratched me.”
Griffon asked her to handle Tara, and the simplest way was for Stella to admit that she was the woman Griffon carried into the car.
After that, Tara brought a group of her pack mates to break into the hospital, hitting and smashing things, and even scratched her a few times.
However, she didn’t want Taya to know or ask any questions.
“Be sure to use vitamin E on them so they won’t scar,” Taya said.
Stella had a beautiful face, so it would be a pity if she were to be disfigured. And oftentimes, doctors put other needs before their own.
Stella nodded and left with her medicine bag.
When she left, Taya thought of Griffon, and she felt suffocated.
Taya didn’t know what he meant. He was going to mate someone else, but still kept Taya locked up at his home.
Did he want Tara and want her?
If that was the case, then he was too greedy.
