Soon, a frigate approached the Space Rift.
On the deck stood more than a dozen people, tall and radiating different energy fluctuations.
These were the Espers sent by Riceland.
Among these Espers, the five in the center had the strongest auras.
Among the five, there was a woman with long brown hair and icy blue eyes.
“Hannah, let’s move out!” said a burly man built like a tower to the woman.
Hannah nodded, stretched out her hands, and released her powers. A thick vine appeared on the deck in front of her.
The vine extended upward until it reached the Space Rift.
“Let’s go!” Hannah leaped onto the vine.
The other Espers followed closely behind her.
As soon as Hannah entered the Space Rift, the recorder she carried exploded into fragments.
The recorders on the others also shattered similarly.
“What’s going on? Why can’t the recorders enter?” Caden, observing Hannah and the others through binoculars from a distance, looked grim.
General Brody frowned as well.
“General Brody, I request to send a drone into the Space Rift,” Caden suggested, unwilling to give up.
General Brody, also eager to see what was inside the Space Rift, ordered a drone to be sent in.
The drone took off and quickly flew toward the Space Rift.
Just as it was about to enter, it exploded into fragments like the recorders.
“Caden, it seems only living beings can enter,” General Brody said with disappointment. “We’ll have to wait for the Esper Troop to come out and report on what’s inside. They should bring back some samples.”
After Riceland’s Esper Troop entered the Space Rift, Espers from Atraria and other countries also followed suit.
Half an hour later, a strange beast’s cry echoed in the sky. A large flying beast with two pairs of wings and covered in silver feathers appeared.
This beast was the Thunder Wing Beast. On its back stood Leo and Violet.
“Leo, the Space Rift is so big and amazing,” Violet exclaimed in wonder as she looked ahead at the Space Rift.
Leo squinted his eyes. The entrance to the West Sea Secret Realm was more than five times larger and more mysterious than that of the Greenmount Secret Realm.
“The entrance is stable now. Your father and the others should have already gone in. Let’s go too,” Leo said to Violet.
Violet nodded expectantly.
The Thunder Wing Beast accelerated and flew directly into the Space Rift.
Upon entering, Leo first saw a blinding white light, followed by a dizzying sensation. Gradually, his vision cleared.
In front of him were towering green trees with lush canopies and mist swirling around them. Between the trees were green grass and beautiful wildflowers, creating an idyllic scene.
In the forest, distant sounds of rushing waterfalls and beastly roars could be heard, adding to the awe-inspiring atmosphere.
“The spiritual energy here is so dense,” Leo remarked as he took a deep breath of the air, feeling refreshed and amazed.
The density of spiritual energy here was ten times greater than that of the Seven Stars Sword Sect after Leo had modified it with formations.
Soon, Leo realized that Violet and the Thunder Wing Beast were nowhere to be seen; they had vanished without a trace.
After a brief contemplation, Leo understood what had happened.
It seemed that during their passage through the secret realm’s entrance, he, Violet, and the Thunder Wing Beast had been transported to different locations.
The Thunder Wing Beast could fly, so it wasn’t much of a concern. But Violet’s strength was not yet formidable, and with unknown dangers lurking in the secret realm, Leo was genuinely worried about her safety.
Leo immediately released his spiritual sense to scan his surroundings.
Quickly, his face darkened.
With his current lower Spirit Sect cultivation level, his spiritual sense should have covered three to four kilometers. However, within this secret realm, it could only cover three to four hundred meters.
The range of his spiritual sense had been reduced tenfold!
Leo’s plan to find Violet using his spiritual sense had failed.
But no matter what, he had to find Violet first.
Standing high offered a better view. Spiritual energy surged under Leo’s feet as he leaped into the air.
When he reached about sixty meters above ground, he felt a powerful spatial pressure.
Gritting his teeth, Leo pushed his spiritual energy to continue ascending.
The higher he went, the stronger the spatial pressure became.
At over seventy meters above ground, Leo could ascend no further.
He stopped and hovered in mid-air, using his spiritual energy to counteract the spatial pressure.
The secret realm was indeed peculiar; not only was his spiritual sense suppressed, but even his flight height was limited.
At over seventy meters high, he could only get a partial view of this vast secret realm.
Looking around, there were many towering trees over a hundred meters tall.
Leo’s gaze locked onto one particularly tall and sturdy tree.
He then dashed towards it and began climbing using sheer physical strength without relying on spiritual energy.
As he climbed, Leo noticed that without using spiritual energy, he didn’t feel any spatial pressure.
After more than ten minutes of climbing, Leo finally reached the top of the tree, about a hundred meters above ground.
Amidst the green leaves at this height, there was a green snake.
Leo’s presence seemed to disturb the snake from its slumber. Its cold eyes locked onto him.
Three seconds later, the snake shot toward Leo like an arrow from a bowstring.
Its mouth opened wide, revealing sharp fangs aimed at Leo’s neck.
Leo’s expression turned cold as he unleashed a wind blade.
To his surprise, the snake twisted its body and dodged the wind blade.
Leo wouldn’t be outdone by a mere snake. He conjured several wind blades in mid-air.
Under the assault of multiple wind blades, the snake had no chance to evade and was instantly sliced into pieces.
Unexpectedly, as its head neared Leo within two or three meters, it spewed black venom at him.
Reacting swiftly, Leo pushed off a branch and leaped away to avoid it.
The venom landed on a sturdy branch below and corroded it instantly, leaving a hole.
This sight made Leo’s eyelids twitch. He hadn’t expected such potent venom from a small green snake.
After eliminating the snake, Leo scanned the surroundings from his vantage point.
He quickly gained a general understanding of this secret realm.
It seemed to be an enormous island floating in mid-air. The island’s periphery was shrouded in white mist, giving it an ethereal appearance.
After surveying from afar, Leo shifted his gaze downward. Due to the tree canopies’ coverage, he could only see small clearings and not much else.
