Rosiley and Corey became awkward.
Actually, they did not intend to pry. They just happened to be passing by and they were very loud.
Hence, they had no choice but to overhear them.
Leila Shen froze for a moment before quickly wiping away her tears. She cried out in a daze, “sister Rosiley.”
Rosiley gave her a small smile. “Hello.”
Her voice sounded plain and distant, unlike the enthusiasm she had shown during the party.
Leila Shen grabbed the lower part of her clothes subconsciously, as if only by doing so would she have the courage to face her.
Corey studied Leila Shen with an interrogative gaze. She was wearing a costume, so she had to be an actress too. However, he found her familiar for some reason.
Hence, he asked, “sister-in-law, you know her?”
Rosiley tilted her head and answered softly, “She’s the girl that bumped into you during the party.”
“Isn’t that…?” Corey’s eyes widened in shock.
Rosiley nodded gently before saying to Leila Shen, “We overheard by accident. Don’t worry, we won’t spread the word.”
She thought that Leila Shen was feeling uneasy because they had overheard her quarrel and were afraid that they would spread the word.
After all, she worked for the media and Leila Shen was a celebrity.
“It’s not that, sister Rosiley…”
Leila Shen wanted to explain, but was cut off by Rosiley. “We’ll get going first.”
She gave her a polite and distant smile before walking past her.
Corey glanced at her with a cold gaze before starting to catch up with Rosiley.
Leila Shen stood rooted to the ground and bit her lips tightly. She hesitated for a while before starting to chase after Rosiley.
She caught up with them and stopped them in their tracks.
Rosiley and Corey were forced to come to a stop. They looked at her with no expression.
Leila Shen took a deep breath and stared at Rosiley intensely. Then, as if having mustered an immense amount of courage, she bowed 90 degrees to her.

Rosiley frowned. “Leila Shen, what are you doing?”
“sister Rosiley.” Leila Shen came back up and fixed her gaze on her. “I’m really sorry for what happened that night, but listen to me…”
“You’re going to say that you have your own difficulties, right?” Rosiley interrupted her.
Hearing this, Leila Shen froze.
Rosiley smiled, “Everyone who hurts someone always says that.”
Leila Shen started to panic. “sister Rosiley, I really do have my own difficulties. Rorey said that if I don’t help her, she will make me leave the industry.”
“So you promised her you’d harm me?”
Rosiley did not understand how a man’s heart could be so selfish as to be willing to hurt others for their own sake.
“I…” Leila Shen became speechless at that moment.

Leila Shen clenched her fists tightly and tears fell unexpectedly. She looked up into the gloomy sky and let her tears flow freely from the corners of her eyes.
