Charlotte’s birthday party was scheduled by Quentin at the most luxurious five-star hotel in all of Stresall, the Royal Hotel.
The Royal Hotel was also the most expensive hotel in Stresall, with its high-end and luxurious restaurant being one of the top-tier establishments in the city.
Quentin hadn’t told Charlotte yet, but he planned to give her a grand surprise during this event.
Charlotte’s family suddenly received an invitation from the Pittman family today.
“An engagement banquet for the Pittman and Parry families? And it’s being held at the Royal Hotel!”
Charlotte’s family was astonished. The Pittman and Parry families were really willing to spend a fortune on this wedding banquet.
“I heard that even the cheapest table costs tens of thousands. Hosting a hundred tables would cost at least a few million. Given how these two families love to show off, they will spare no expense. It might end up costing close to ten million!” Emery calculated with his fingers.
“And they chose Charlotte’s birthday to host it. I think they just want to humiliate our family again,” Emma complained bitterly.
“Since the Pittman family has already kicked us out, who knows what tricks they have up their sleeves this time. We might as well not go,” Rashad said, his face darkening as he recalled the numerous times the Pittman family had made things difficult for them.
“We should just stay away to avoid any unnecessary conflict,” Charlotte agreed, not wanting to deal with the Pittman family. They had taken the necklace Quentin gave her last time and never returned the money.
Knowing the Pittman family, getting it back was impossible. She decided to consider the necklace a gift to those bloodsuckers.
Charlotte felt a bit guilty towards Quentin for wanting to sell the necklace out of anger initially.
“Since we’ve received the invitation, there’s no harm in going.”
“At least we can have a good meal. It’s worth going,” Quentin smiled slightly.
“Quentin, you know what kind of people the Pittman and Parry families are, don’t you?”
“If we go, we’ll just be humiliating ourselves. We can’t be so spineless,” Charlotte said solemnly. No matter what, she didn’t want her family to go and be humiliated by the Pittman and Parry families.
“It’s okay. I promise they won’t dare do anything to us.”
“And I have a grand surprise prepared for your birthday,” Quentin said confidently.
“What surprise? Quentin, you’re being mysterious again,” Charlotte and the others were puzzled, not knowing what Quentin had planned this time.
“Come with me and you’ll see. Let’s head out now.” Quentin stood up.
“But you have to promise me you won’t cause any trouble,” Charlotte worried that Quentin might clash with the Pittman and Parry families.
“Alright, I promise I won’t cause any trouble.”
With that, Charlotte and the others drove to the Royal Hotel.
Arriving at the Royal Hotel, they got out of the car and approached the entrance.
The hotel’s romantic and solemn atmosphere, high ceilings, grand entrance, round arched windows, and stone corners exuded opulence and elegance, drawing admiration from everyone.
At the entrance stood a large welcome sign with bold letters-Welcome to the Engagement Banquet of the Pittman and Parry Families.
Several people in lavish attire were greeting guests at the door, including Russell and Georgia from the Pittman family, and Dexter and Brian from the Parry family.
They were all beaming with joy and hospitality, making everyone feel at home.
“Mr. Parry, Georgia marrying into the Parry family is a blessing for her and our Pittman family!” Russell said politely, his smile radiant.
“Mr. Pittman, you’re too modest. Our Brian marrying such a beautiful girl like Georgia is truly a blessing for our Parry family,” Dexter replied with equal politeness, though both men harbored ulterior motives.
“Dad,” a voice suddenly interrupted them. It was Emery leading Quentin and Charlotte’s group.
“Oh, you’re here! I thought you had forgotten about me as your patriarch,” Russell said sarcastically, his expression disdainful.
“Since you sent us an invitation, how could we not come?” Emery forced a smile. After all, Russell was still his father, so he couldn’t get angry.
“Oh my, Charlotte, you actually dared to come?”
“Weren’t you very tough last time? Didn’t you say you cut ties with our Pittman family?” Georgia sneered disdainfully.
“Since you sent an invitation, how could I not come?”
“Or are you saying I’m not welcome here?” Charlotte retorted sharply. “Then why send an invitation?”
“Oh no, we wouldn’t do that.”
“Make sure to enjoy yourself. After all, it’s rare for poor people like you to eat such expensive food,” Georgia mocked with a cold smile and a roll of her eyes.
“Thanks for your generosity,” Charlotte said, suppressing her anger and glancing at Quentin.
“I told you we shouldn’t have come. Now they’ll just mock us,” Charlotte complained internally. Quentin smiled slightly, understanding what she meant.
As they entered the hotel, members of both families exchanged sinister smiles as Quentin passed by.
“We’ll humiliate that loser later,” Brian muttered disdainfully under his breath.
Quentin turned his head, his gaze icy cold. They felt a chill as they met his eyes.
Quentin was ready to see what schemes they had planned. Most importantly, today was his stage!
