Chapter 536: Seems Like He’s Also Afraid of Death!

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-8-16

“So, does Ms. Sharp want to spend money to avoid disaster?” Franklin asked, noticing some apprehension in Rose.
“And what if I don’t compensate?” Flynn responded, his smile not reaching his eyes.
“If you dare not pay, then I’m sorry, it might be difficult for you to leave here today,” Franklin slowly stated, clapping his hands.
Suddenly, seven or eight men dressed in black appeared at the door, each holding a weapon, and two even had bulges at their waists.
Clearly, they were homemade pistols.
“Oh? You’re sure you want a million?” Flynn narrowed his eyes. These little thugs were getting serious, armed with firearms.
“The porcelain teacup you broke is blue and white, crafted by a master, worth one million eight hundred thousand.”
“I’m asking for one million, which is already giving Ms. Sharp a lot of face,” Franklin sneered.
“Blue and white porcelain? Then give me one million, and I’ll buy you a truckload of this type of porcelain,” Rose said angrily.
Even a fool could see that it was just an ordinary teacup, not even worth ten dollars, yet they claimed it was worth a million-what was the difference from robbery?
However, Flynn stopped Rose with his hand, smiling without humor: “Alright! We’ll compensate.”
“You’re crazy! He’s clearly extorting us!” Rose was stunned by Flynn’s change of attitude; this wasn’t like him at all.
Franklin burst into laughter: “Ms. Sharp, he knows the times-a million dollars compared to a life, the life is obviously more important!”
He squinted at Flynn, his eyes full of disdain.
Just a moment ago, he had been reluctant to pay, but seeing Franklin summon his men, he had cowered.
It seemed he was also afraid of death.
His men also smirked, looking relaxed.
Especially those two with weapons tucked into their waists, who lifted their shirts to reveal black pistol grips.
This was routine for them, having been played out many times before.
Outsiders seeing this setup would be frightened into paying up.
After all, everyone is afraid of death!
Flynn pulled out his phone and immediately called Brandon, then said with a laugh:
“Brandon, I’ve broken a teacup at the Riverside Club, and they’re asking for a million.”
“I don’t have that much on me right now, could you bring some over? Remember, a million, don’t bring less!”
After saying this, Flynn hung up the phone, turned to look at the legs of a beautiful masseuse, and smiled nonchalantly:
“Don’t stop, your technique is good, it would be even better if you applied more pressure.”
The masseuse stood still, unsure what to do.
Was this man foolish or stunned?
At this time, he still had the mood for a foot massage?
After Flynn finished the call, Franklin’s face darkened, but he immediately scoffed:
“It sounds like you’re calling for backup!”
“Very well, let’s see if we, the Crimson Dragon Gang, have more people, or if you do!”
“But let it be known, once our boss arrives, it won’t just be about a million anymore!”
“Ariana, keep massaging him. Since he thinks he’s like a boss, serve him well!”
Franklin’s last words were heavy with mockery.
The Crimson Dragon Gang had thousands of members; how many could Flynn call?
At most, some company bodyguards.
Did he even have a hundred?
And they were all on a fixed salary, earning a few thousand dollars a month. What life were they risking?
As for the “Brandon” Flynn mentioned, Franklin didn’t even consider the real Brandon.
He thought it was just a nickname.
They had many of those in the Crimson Dragon Gang.
There was even one called “Admiral.”
Rose, realizing Flynn’s intentions, finally spoke up:
“Wait and see! When our people arrive, even their spit could drown you!” Franklin snorted, picking up his phone to make a call:
“Mr. Devin, we have a kid here who broke our teacup and is being defiant, refusing to pay!”
“He’s even calling people to smash the place!”
The men at the door glanced at Flynn with disdain.
They initially thought Flynn had cowered, not realizing he was playing them.
There had been similar bluff calls before, pulling in a dozen or so people, but when they saw the gang leader’s men, they dropped their weapons and ran.
The man who was wronged ended up in a terrible situation.
Initially, he was supposed to pay $500, 000 and be done with it.
In the end, he paid $2 million, was severely beaten, cried out for his parents, and was so frightened that he wet his pants.
To them, Flynn’s fate seemed destined to be the same; they expected him to soon be kneeling on the ground, snot and tears flowing.
Rose, upon seeing this, instantly understood.
It turned out Flynn saw that the other party had a gun and, fearing a shootout in the booth might injure him, planned to have Brandon bring over troops to handle the situation.
Thinking this, Rose felt a warmth in her heart, smiled slightly, and lay down to enjoy a massage from the beautiful technician.
“Hmm… hmm…”
The tantalizing sound resumed.
Flynn grinned and thought to himself, “That’s right! I haven’t had enough yet!”
He had four reasons for making the call.
First: He was worried about harming Rose.
Second: He hadn’t finished his massage and wanted to hear more of Rose’s “divine voice.”
Third: To draw the Crimson Dragon Gang over to resolve the situation permanently.
Fourth: To provide some fun for the members of the Blade Special Forces, as their training was tough and a bit of venting could aid their mental health.
The two beautiful technicians were astounded.
These two gods must be mad; with the situation so dire, they remained so relaxed.
They had seen Devin’s methods before; he had even broken a client’s hand once.
He had also forced that person to drink urine.
Devin was a madman.
If it weren’t for the high pay, they would have changed jobs long ago.
The two beauticians exchanged glances, both shaking their heads.
They thought Flynn’s approach was purely overconfident, completely akin to courting disaster.
Soon after, the rumbling of van engines came from outside.
Hundreds of vans lined up in a long queue and arrived at the Riverside Club.
From the vans, fierce men with dragon and tiger tattoos jumped out, their murderous aura clustering behind the first two Mercedes.
All in all, there were eight hundred men!
The doors of the two Mercedes opened simultaneously, and out stepped one man and six women.
The man had a fierce face, with thick, furrowed brows and cold, ruthless eyes emitting a terrifying gleam. His large, flat nose with a prominent nasal bridge covered in hard lumps added an intense sense of oppression.
The five women had graceful figures, exquisitely made-up faces filled with high-end tech, wearing revealing clothes, and followed the man upstairs.
“So late at night, some fool has disturbed our rest, Mr. Devin, you must not let him off!”
“Right, I was just about to blow Mr. Devin a kiss, but then something happened in the shop, such a mood-killer!”
“Mr. Devin is much more formidable than Frederick; he nearly sent me to heaven in just half an hour, my legs are still weak! I want more…”
The internet celebrities chatted amongst themselves, unhappy about being disturbed so late.
They all urged Devin to deal with the troublemaker.
Devin, without a word, kept one hand on a woman’s ample buttocks, continuously kneading as he walked upstairs.
He grinned, revealing a row of sharp, beast-like teeth, his fierce aura chilling to the bone.
He had just been intimately involved with these women when the interruption had undoubtedly annoyed him.
But aside from women, he also enjoyed tormenting others.
Now, with someone delivered right to him, he couldn’t help but feel excited.
The group reached the third floor and pushed the door open.
A chilling murderous intent swept through the room, and the beautiful technicians immediately retreated to one side.
Flynn, annoyed, sat up.
Upon seeing the women, he couldn’t help but smile and said cheerfully:
“Yo! Isn’t this Danna? Changed owners again? Devin, with a face full of acne pits, you look quite sloppy. Can you guys really stomach it?”
Indeed, Flynn knew these internet celebrities.
When he bought the office building from Orco Real Estate, Frederick had once brought them to provoke him.
Danna was all too familiar.
Flynn had smashed her car at Fish Dragon Villa.
At the Orco Real Estate office building, he had forced them to slap themselves, swelling their faces.
How had they switched sides in just half a month?
