The drug that Rorey had used to harm Rosiley’s father came from overseas. After Sachin did some thorough investigation, he finally got a very important clue.
The drug was a newly-curated medicine produced in a private pharmaceutical research and development center in America. The drug had only been tested on animals and not on humans yet.
However, even without a human trial, the drug had still managed to enter the black market.
Rorey had bought the drug from the black market. As to how she knew of its existence, only she herself knew the truth.
Rosiley sat on the sofa and flipped through the investigation results. Her brows were tightly furrowed and she looked a little solemn.
After she finished reading, she looked up at the man who was standing by the French windows. “Sachin, how can we save my father?”
Sachin turned around and his thin mouth opened, “I’ve already contacted that pharmaceutical center. They have promised to develop an antidote.”
Hearing this, Rosiley’s face lit up. “Really?”
“Yes, really.”
Rosiley put down the report. She stood up and walked towards him quickly to hug him.
“Sachin, it’s so good to have you here.” Her voice was muffled as she buried her face in his chest.
since her father was in a coma, her fear and worry was alleviated when she learned that there was a cure.
This was given to her by Sachin.
If not for him, she could not imagine how helpless and afraid she would be.
Thinking about this, her arms tightened around his waist and she snuggled right into his embrace. Her nostrils were filled with the clean scent that was unique to him. Her heart was full and she felt a pinch in her nose before scorching hot tears began to flow from her eyes.
The quiet room was now filled with her sobs. Sachin’s expression wavered slightly as intense pity filled his dark gaze. He lifted his hand and gently caressed her silky hair, saying gently, “Don’t cry, everything bad is only temporary.”
Yes, it would all pass.
She bawled in his arms silently.
Ray Lin might have kept his life, but his career had reached its end.
On the day after Ray Lin’s accident, Tanghai released a statement saying that they had fired him. At the same time, it also clarified that they had nothing to do with Ray Lin’s years of scandals. All of those were his own doings.
Tanghai’s behavior was basically pouring salt on Ray Lin’s wound. All those years of partnership had come to nothing with this statement.
This caused onlookers to sigh.
The drama that Tanghai had invested in, “Legend of Concubine Qing”, had not stopped filming because of what happened to Ray Lin. Tanghai had paid a high price to bring over a domestically renowned director to save the drama, so the filming had started as planned.
“Before the drama even started filming, this thing had already happened. This drama must be cursed.”
After reading the news, Yayoi made a comment… that did not seem like one.
Rosiley gave a dry laugh. “Your priorities are so different.”
Usually, wouldn’t people highlight Tanghai’s immorality, pity the poor director who had to take over, or scold Ray Lin for getting what he deserved?
Why did it become ‘this drama must be cursed’ when it came to her?
“Isn’t it?” Yayoi pursed her lips. “You went to the opening ceremony that day. Look at how grand it was! In the end? Ray Lin…”
Speaking of which, Yayoi sighed, “His whole life has practically gone to waste.”
“Why? You pity him?”
Rosiley joked.
Yayoi became impatient. “Who’s pitying him? That old pervert doesn’t deserve pity. He’s getting what he deserves.”
“Then why did you sigh?”
“I just feel that it’s pointless for a man to live a life lacking any kind of dignity.”
