Rosiley woke up gently. When she saw the unfamiliar surroundings, she shot up in fright.
She lifted the blanket that was covering her and heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that she was still wearing clothes.
After ensuring that nothing had happened to her, she started examining the room.
The room was big, with a dark-themed design, making it look simple and calm. It was a man’s room.
“Why am I here?”
Memories of last evening’s events returned to her head. She recalled attending the party, Corey’s accident, and meeting her Zev, Leila Shen.
“Leila Shen!”
Her pupils dilated as she recalled that her last memory was drinking a glass of wine that she had handed to her.
“sister Rosiley, I’m sorry. I was forced to do this. Please blame Tiana instead.”
She seemed to hear Leila Shen say such a sentence while she was still semi-conscious.
She was not sure if she had really said that sentence.
If Tiana and her gang wanted to harm her, how could she escape unscathed? Furthermore, she shouldn’t be here!
However, it wasn’t the time to ponder such issues just now. She was more concerned about Sachin, who had to be worried since she went missing.

A majestic building entered her sight. Brilliant sunlight was reflected by its mirror-like exterior, landing in her eyes.
It was the property of the Lu Group, the landmark of Benin City— the Bing Sheng Tower.
Thus, she knew that her current location was right across from the tower in the Courtyard View— luxurious condominiums that cost a few hundred thousand yuan per square meter.
After confirming her location, she returned to her bed to look for her phone.
She found nothing.
Her phone was not there.
She sat at the side of the bed, devastated. Then, she pulled her hair in frustration.
She had initially wanted to call Sachin to tell him where she was so he could come and save her.
However, that seemed impossible now.
Then…
She raised her brows and inspected the closed door, frowning as she thought about the person who had brought her here. “Who could it be? Is it possible that he wants to harm me, just like Tiana does?”
She felt a little terrified when such a thought crept up into her calm mind.
If the man was truly like Tiana, she would be in a dangerous situation.
She had to think of a way to escape.
While she was deep in thought, the door opened.
Hearing the noise, she raised her head and stared at the door in alarm.
A tall, slender man walked in. After seeing the man’s face, she shot up out of shock.
“How could it be you?!” She seemed dumbfounded.
The man who walked in was the male lead at the press conference yesterday— Yan Xu.
Yan Xu walked over to her, smiling gently. “Are you surprised to see me?”
“That’s a ridiculous question!” She did not know him before this and had only seen him on the television. How could she be not surprised?
“Why am I here?” Rosiley did not beat around the bush and got straight to the point.
“Someone drugged you. I saved you.”
