Chapter 257 A Deliberate Leg Kick

Book:My CEO Daddy Published:2024-8-9

With both hands, Veronica grasped at Nick, hugged him, and eagerly said, “First, tell me if Peter wanted me to do something, then I’ll let you go!”
This threat from Veronica lacked the strength that it made Nick silent and dreadfully look at her with his black eyes, without a trace of displeasure.
Veronica reacted and her heart tightened as she said, “Would that be all right? I’m not threatening you, I’m just asking you.”
With a low voice and sparkling black eyes, Nick asked, “Do you think you can stop me?”
Veronica bit her lip and her mind turned quickly.
Suddenly, she put her arms around Nick’s strong waist, stood on tiptoe, and kissed his thin lips.
With his cold black eyes, Nick was slightly stupefied. But then he glided through the kiss with light proficiency.
Even though he knew Veronica’s intention, he didn’t push her away. His hand pressed her against the wall by the door.
Veronica moaned lightly, and her beautiful brows frowned slightly as she laboriously withstood Nick’s strong kiss.
It took almost five minutes for Nick to let go of her. As a result, Veronica’s mind was muddled and dazzled due to the lack of oxygen.
Nick’s thin lips pressed against her hot mouth, and a hoarse voice sounded, “Do you think I’ll stay? If I, Nick Cage, could be easily seduced by women, I wouldn’t be alive today.”
Veronica held out her index finger, unhooked the belt around his waist, and pulled it slightly. She then seductively said, “Your mouth says no, but your body says otherwise. Am I right, Mr. Cage?”
Nick’s well-versed eyes flashed and he bit Veronica’s mouth angrily.
Veronica let out a weak yelp and trembled all over. She felt the numbness from her sore lips.
Nick, who was now overwhelmed with desire, directly and forcefully said, “You told me to stay. Don’t regret it!”
With Nick, Veronica looked for answers to her questions in this way.
If Nick did not stay, it would mean that there was something really wrong with Peter. But because he stayed, that would mean that whatever the call was about, it was not something that needs to be done immediately.
‘But what could it be?’
She wouldn’t let the six little ones find out who showed up in her house tonight.
It wasn’t long before unconsciousness set in. Veronica’s mind was stirred up so much that she couldn’t even think any more thoughts.
When Veronica became conscious, she didn’t know what time it was. It was as if she hadn’t gotten back to reality just yet.
Her windows were not as classy as those of Winter Villa’s. The rays of morning light started to seep in.
Veronica closed her eyes feebly, and her body was held tied up by the man behind her. But as soon as she came back to her senses, the discomfort made her nerves ache.
Nick was a greedy, terrifying beast. Every time she came into contact with him, Veronica would have the illusion that she wouldn’t be able to see the sun the next day. Nick was that terrifying.
Veronica didn’t look back and knew Nick wasn’t awake.
The thought of his abominable force last night flashed through Veronica’s mind.
She pretends to be unconscious, closed her eyes, and kicked Nick’s leg.
Veronica’s medial thigh hit a bone on his leg that hurt. He clenched his teeth without making a sound.
There was nothing but affliction, and it affected his whole body at the same time.
The point was, Nick, didn’t move with such a kick.
‘How deep is he sleeping?’
Therefore, Veronica dared not use her legs but used her hands instead. She bent her arms, pointed her elbows at Nick’s chest, gritted her teeth, and used all the force she got to tackle him.
With a bang, her elbow didn’t hit Nick’s chest but she hit his palm.
It shook her all over and her expression was stiff. She thought, ‘When did he wake up?’
This would be the first time that Nick would throw her downstairs.
“Instead, Nick said with a lazy voice, “You’ve got good energy. But even my leg doesn’t hurt, huh?”
Veronica pursed her lips and then got up after she tackled him.
But the question was, would Nick really be out of breath when he gets up? Because she could not feel his anger at all.
This was all about her six little ones.
Veronica withdrew her hand and asked impolitely, “Mr. Cage, didn’t you say you were not so easily seduced by women?”
He replied, “Except you.” Nick was completely unembarrassed by being slapped in the face with her questioning.
Veronica flashed her eyes and looked at the window as she said, “Wow, I’m so honored.”
Nick’s hand reached out to grasp at Veronica. She tried to escape, but as soon as she moved, she was imprisoned by Nick’s powerful embrace.
“Get up!”
“There’s no hurry.” Suddenly, Nick encircled Veronica’s slender neck with his arm as he tried to subdue her and hold her down.
Veronica couldn’t pull her head out as his body was wider than her neck. So instead, she tried to yank Nick’s arm away. But the strong muscles on it were so strong that Veronica had to give up.
Veronica was silent for a moment and asked, “Was Mr. Cage satisfied last night?”
“No babysitting.”
Veronica clenched her teeth. She had never seen such a man! She then said, “If you eat it, dry and wipe it clean, it won’t do you any good! I’m going to get up and go to the TV station.”
Lying here in the same bed with Nick, it was dangerous to think about it.
“Ask for a leave.”
“It’s not good for me to go to work only if I want to. If I want to ask for a leave, I can ask for a leave. But what would other people think?”
“That’s what you can do.”
Veronica opened her mouth but she was speechless.
The truth was, the TV station was not busy recently so it would be fine if she didn’t go.
Looking at the way Nick’s strong-arm binds her neck, it seemed that he was not going to let her go.
But shouldn’t she be looking for something to wear right now? She didn’t have that sense of security at that moment.
It is only mentioned, not to make it even more dangerous.
Veronica was still so tired that she fell asleep with Nick’s arms around her neck.
Nick did not sleep again. He just stared at Veronica’s tranquil sleeping face and focused on it. The expression on his face looked dangerous.
Her white skin, long and warped eyelashes and delicate pursed lips made him want to pry it open and wreak havoc.
Nick, who didn’t sleep, was very attentive and heard the noise outside.
Gently, he loosened his grip on Veronica’s neck, turned, and got out of bed.
He saw the clothes that were thrown all over the floor outside. He found the mobile phone that was ringing and vibrating under the pile of clothes.
Nick picked up the black shirt on the ground, picked up his phone, and went to the balcony to answer it.
On the other line, Kay Tours’ voice sounded as she reported, “There was no suspicious person inside or outside the neighborhood. I also checked Veronica’s recent phone records, and I found that she contacted Saxon Raglan.”
Nick’s stare at the distance became cold and grumpy, and his whole body was suddenly full of momentum and wind.
“Mr. Cage argued with Mr. Raglan at the bar the other day, and it was a strange phone call. Based on Veronica’s personality, she is not the type that would chase and scold. Logically, there is no need for Veronica to call Mr. Raglan because the two are complete strangers.”
Nick replied, “In other words, the person who showed up last night was Saxon Raglan.” It was not a question, but an affirmation.
Kay said, “With that, Veronica had discovered that Mr. Raglan was innocent and was seeking his cooperation.”
When she did not hear any response from Nick, she tried to coax him, “Mr. Cage, do not get angry, Veronica could probably be having her own plans.”
With dark eyes, Nick asked, “Am I angry?”
Kay quickly replied, “No.” Even across her cell phone, Kay could feel a gust of wind coming from Nick, which gave her the creeps.
At the moment, he only thinks Veronica was stupid.
With a cold voice, Nick instructed, “Take the time to come here and install monitoring devices. Even indoor!”
Then, he hung up the phone and went straight to the room.
He opened the door.
Nick silently stood at the door, with his black-eyed eagle eyes looking dreadfully at Veronica, who was sleeping defenselessly.
‘She went to another man when what I said fell on deaf ears?’
‘Or is it just because recently she has been living too comfortably?’
Nick walked over and approached the woman on the bed. He did nothing at the edge of the bed, but the ferocious mood in his black eyes flashed vaguely.
