Judging from the aura that the man exuded, it was clear that he was not here to be a guest but to blow up Winter Villa. Yes, Chasel Oscar was here to blow up Nick Cage.
It was interesting to think about what will happen. Both men were equally fierce. As a matter of fact, if you put Chasel Oscar and Nick Cage in the same place, the scene will be like a terrorist gathering place.
Chasel Oscar turned around, his hair slightly short, flattened on both sides, and carved with X, such as the death sign. His facial features were three-dimensional and were undeniably strong. He then looked at Nick Cage, and said, “What kind of expression is that?”
“What are you doing here?” Nick Cage walked over with a straight face and asked.
Both gentlemen sat down on the couch.
Chasel Oscar did not answer Nick Carter’s question. Instead, he decided to ask, “Is that the woman who has been in your head all night?”
Nick Carter did not say a word. He was carefully observing Chasel Oscar.
He remembered that he asked someone before to help investigate on Veronica Parker and her birth to sextuplets abroad. That person whom he asked was Chasel Oscar.
So, there’s no need for Nick Cage to reveal nor answer that question he was just asked. He was sure that Chasel Oscar already has a rough idea.
Chasel Oscar handed him a cigarette.
Nick Cage glanced and pushed his hand down slightly. “Haven’t you quit smoking?”
Chasel Oscar withdrew his cigarette. “You don’t smoke anymore?”
“Pretty much.”
It was said that there are very few men who can quit smoking, and now two have appeared at once.
“That look on your face tells me that you like this woman. I wonder what you saw in her. Just look at the way she treats you, she doesn’t seem interested in you at all!” In total disregard of Nick Cage’s attitude, Chasel Oscar uncovered his scars in front of him.
The relationship between the two is remarkably extraordinary. They appeared to have such a long history together.
The occlusal muscle on the side of Nick Cage’s face twitched. His black eyes looked deeply at Chasel Oscar, and he asked calmly, “How many children do you have?”
“One” Chasel Oscar wondered at Nick Cage’s question. Didn’t he know that he had a daughter?
“I got six at a time, plus you.”
Chasel Oscar did not answer nor reacted to what Nick Cage just said. He was deeply aware of what Nick Cage meant by his statement. He knew that he better not bring up the topic again for them to talk about.
Peter ran in and out of the plane. He pretended he was the captain one moment and the passenger the next. Until he decided to stick to one story. Peter was the captain, and the other five were flight attendants. Veronica Parker was the passenger.
Veronica Parker was a little distracted. Her mind was occupied by the call she got earlier.
It was a long time ago since Tom Parker contacted her. It has been a while that she thought he already gave up.
But today Tom Parker did. He called her and she most certainly did not expect him to.
The memories she had of Tom Parker began to creep in. All of a sudden, it filled every corner of her body.
She didn’t know how to eliminate the shadow of her childhood. The shadow of Tom Parker left a dent in her life.
Does he really need to torture her for the rest of her life?
“Mom watch out! I am coming!” Cathy came cautiously with a glass of juice in her hand.
Her loud voice drags Veronica Parker back to the present time. She hurriedly stood up and tried to pick up the glass from one of her six children.
Cathy refused, “Mom, you are now a passenger. Passengers want to drink juice, so Cathy brings juice to Mom the passenger! See! I brought juice myself. I am a good flight attendant.”
Veronica Parker laughed at what Cathy said. She looked at the juice on her hand and sat down again, “All right! Thanks, flight attendant Cathy. You are very good indeed.”
Cathy stabilized her little body and carefully walked step by step towards Veronica Parker. “Mom, it’s time to drink the juice.”
Veronica Parker graciously took it and said, “Cathy is so good! Thank you.” She took a sip from the glass and said, “The juice is delicious, too. I am very satisfied with your service Cathy the flight attendant.”
Cathy glared happily, her big eyes sparkled, and said, “Thank you, mom!”
“I’ll give some to you, too, Mom!” Julie’s hands raised up.
“I, I want too.” Josh echoed.
“Yes. Me too. I give juice to Mommy!” Daniel said excitedly.
“Oh, here comes Daddy! Daddy is here, daddy is here!” Lily pointed out.
Veronica Parker was stupefied, turned around, and saw Nick Cage coming their way through the window.
Lily ran fast to her daddy, stood in front of Nick Cage, opened her hand, said “Daddy hug!”
Without saying a word, Nick Cage picked up Lily, got into the plane, and sat down next to Veronica Parker.
Lily slipped off her leg. “Daddy, want to drink the juice from Lily? I made it for passengers.”
“Sure. I would love that.”
Lily immediately stood up and happily ran to get the juice.
Of course, the juice was poured out and prepared by the maid. Then the six little ones took charge in bringing it repeatedly to their passengers.
Lily held the cup in her two small hands, the child was not so stable yet, so the drink in the cup was sloshing.
Good thing that the glass was not that full, otherwise the juice could have spilled over.
Lily carefully walked all the way to Nick Cage. Once she reached him, she handed over the juice to Nick Cage. He grabbed it, took a sip, and said, “Not bad. I like it! Thank you, Lily.”
Lily was very happy. She started to jump and dangled her two pigtails very actively.
Soon after, the rest of the sextuplets, Julie, Josh, and Daniel, came to Nick Cage and Veronica Parker and each handed them over a glass of juice.
As Veronica Parker watched everything that was going on around her, she couldn’t help but suddenly feel that she and Nick Cage were truly getting old as they accept the filial piety of serving tea and water from their growing children.
There was that kind of illusion in this picture. An illusion of a complete family Nick Cage as the daddy, herself as the mommy, and their sextuplets as their loving children.
Victoria Parker shook her head and told herself to stop imagining. She realized that she was thinking way too much. She knew that though complete; they will never have a family like that.
She and Nick Cage will be old all right, but they will never grow old together. If anything, she knew that they will have parted ways before they reached that age.
“Mom?” With the help of Julie, Josh successfully handed over the glass of juice to Veronica Parker. She accepted it but didn’t answer.
Nick Cage turned his gaze towards Veronica Parker and saw that she was in a trance. She reached out and grabbed her hand. He was surprised to feel how cold the temperature of Veronica Parker’s hands was when he touched them.
Veronica Parker regained her mind and looked at Josh, who was about to cry for he felt that he was dismissed by his mommy. Upon seeing this, Veronica Parker quickly withdrew her hand from Nick Cage, looked at the glass of juice, and drank everything in it. “Oh wow, Josh. That juice tasted so good. You are so awesome! How did you make such a delicious drink?”
Josh immediately smiled through his tears.
“What’s on your mind?” Nick Cage’s black eyes were too sharp that it penetrated Veronica Parker’s soul.
“Nothing.” Veronica Parker vowed to never let Nick Cage know what she was thinking earlier.
Nick Cage did not ask any more questions, but it was obvious that the atmosphere in the air changed from a very fun, light mood to an awkward silence.
Veronica Parker, who was sitting next to Nick Cage, clearly felt the change in the mood.
She took a glance at Nick Cage to see what was going on. She could not help but admire the good looks that Nick Cage has, but at the same time, she could not help but fear the cold look that he sported on his face.
Veronica Parker still couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him. He was fine just moments ago. Did she say anything wrong?
It was always so cloudy and sunny with Nick Cage!
Moments later, the game of pretending on the plane was over. They all went back to the hall. The six little ones were all actively roaming and playing in every corner of the house.
Nick Cage, on the other hand, went straight back to the study.
Veronica Parker was curious as to what set off his mood. She could not understand what type of emotion Nick Cage was in. All she knew was that he was cold as ice when he got off the plane.
She was in the middle of these thoughts when Isabella pulled her to the side, “Was it true? Mr. Cage’s father came by last night?”
“Ah?” Could this be why Nick Cage was in a bad mood? Veronica Parker thought. So, Nick Cage answered the phone last night because of Kevin Cage? But his mood was normal at that time!
“But they say, he didn’t let him in. He stopped him outside as if it was not his father.”
Veronica Parker knew that Nick Cage’s ruthless style could do that. He once did it with Chloe Bowen, so it was not impossible for his real father, Kevin Cage, to experience such treatment from him.
But whenever Veronica Parker thinks of Kevin Cage, she couldn’t forget what Chloe Bowen and Eden Cage did.

She was about to put the number on the blacklist, but a text message came in:

Veronica Parker froze, turned around, and went to the room where she used to stay.
