For her, this was simply eating and not enjoying it!
Rachel Hamilton got out of the car and gave the keys to the parking boy outside.
The young man was in a bit of a dilemma. “Miss Hamilton, someone reserved the whole restaurant today.”
“Did the person reserved it whole?” Rachel Hamilton thought, who would spend so much money? “Whoever it is, I want to eat here and see who dares to stop me. Do you not know who I am?”
“The people inside are Mr. Cage and his companion.” The young man hesitated for a moment.
Rachel Hamilton looked excited immediately. “Is Nick here for dinner? Then I have to go in for a dinner with him.”
“But.” The young man hesitated since the venue was chartered by Mr. Cage. Other people could not go in, right?
“Don’t you know my relationship with Mr. Cage?” Rachel Hamilton looked irritated and she said haughtily.
The young man knew that her relationship with Mr. Cage was special but there was another girl in the restaurant with Mr. Cage.
The young man was hesitant and Rachel pushed him away impatiently. The young man didn’t react and went to continue his work.
Rachel Hamilton went in to see who was eating with Nick Cage. Anger burned in her chest, she clenched her fists and her fingernails poked into the flesh of his palms.
Veronica was stunned when she saw the person who was coming in. Rachel appeared in the restaurant again. What a coincidence.
Her eyes looked like it wanted to eat her.
Veronica looked at Nick.
Nick Cage glanced past the intruder and there was no emotion on his face.
When Nick saw her, Rachel could only restrain her temper. She unclenched her fist, stepped forward, and said, “Nick, why are you having dinner with her?”
“Why? Do I need to report to you whom I’m having dinner with?” Nick asked faintly.
“That’s not what I meant. It’s just that this Veronica was with Toby a few days ago and she turned around to seduce you again. What is this?” Rachel said.
Nick’s face suddenly turned cold and he looked at Veronica with his sharp.
“No! Don’t listen to her. That’s nonsense, Mr. Cage. I’m not who she says I am!”
Rachel sneered. “You won’t admit what you’ve done, won’t you?”
“Miss Hamilton, what have I done? You have to give the evidence!” Veronica argued with reason.
She would not let Nick suspect her or she would have bad luck!
“Am I lying? The picture I took was deleted by you and Toby!”
Veronica looked at her calmly. “Miss Hamilton, I know you don’t like me all the but I am wondering why are you always targeting me? What is wrong with me? You slapped me in the face before but until now I still can’t believe it. I don’t know what else I had to do to make it up to you. Miss Hamilton, which TV series plot are you using recently?”
“You!” Rachel was so anxious and angry that she gave up arguing with her and turned to Nick instead. She said, “Nick, what I am saying is real. They’re in the dressing room of Suzanne Roland from the TV station. I saw her cuddling with Toby!”
“Miss Hamilton, you are really an eye-opener, why don’t you say something more? For example, after cuddling with him, ask me if we didn’t do anything else.” Veronica asked with a relaxed smile on her face. She was trying really hard to suppress her fear.
“Who knows what you’re doing on the sofa? What a shame!”
“It’s really incoherent when you say that Toby and I are lying on the couch, hugging. To say the least, if I really want to do something with Toby, why not go somewhere else? Why would we do that in Suzanne Roland’s private dressing room? Suzanne Roland didn’t see us but you saw what happened?” Veronica asked logically.
Rachel Hamilton was not able to present evidence, she angrily stepped forward and looked at Veronica Parker’s face.
Veronica stood there, deliberately unstoppable, she watched Rachel’s hand as she tried to slap her. The only thing she did was to close her eyes and wait for the pain to come.
Was it possible for her to fight with her? She was Nick’s fiancee. If she resisted a little bit, it would only provoke Nick.
However, a few seconds later, she did not feel her slap.
Veronica opened her eyes and froze.
The slap did not happen because Rachel’s wrist was held firmly by Nick.
Rachel couldn’t believe that Nick Cage would stop her, “Nick.”
“Don’t disturb my meal,” Nick said as he released the hands of Rachel. “Get out.”
Rachel staggered back, she felt embarrassed and angry.
“Veronica just waits, I’ll find the evidence!” Rachel looked at Veronica with her eyes full of hatred and then she turned away angrily.
Veronica thought to herself that Rachel was even more disagreeable.
And she needed to be more careful.
She watched Nick’s cold face and asked nervously, “Aren’t you going to chase her? I’m fine here.”
Nick Cage raised his cold eyes and looked straight at hers. His eyes were sharp as a falcon.
It appalled Veronica.
She needed to calm herself, “You don’t think that what Miss Hamilton said is true, do you? I dare not cuddle with Toby at the TV station. This is obviously not true it was as if she was creating something out of nothing.”
Nick’s black eyes looked at her coldly. He reached out and grabbed her chin, her red lips slightly opened and she was trembling.
“Do you know what it means to be my woman? Huh?”
Veronica didn’t understand, what else would it mean?
“My woman is my belonging. Even the strands of your hair belong to me, betraying me is to make your life worse than death. Do you want to feel it?” Nick’s voice was steady but it made Veronica shiver with cold.
“I don’t want it. I didn’t betray you.”
Nick loosened his grip. He looked at her coldly and said, “In that case, I don’t want to hear it again.”
Veronica understood what he was referring to. That was the content of Rachel’s claims.
“But if Miss Hamilton has something to say in front of you, a hundred lives won’t be enough for me,” Veronica said. “Especially today, can’t you see that she is very angry when she saw me eating here with you? Miss Hamilton is your fiancee, right? Everyone on the TV station knows about it. You want me to be your woman like I’m ruining other people’s feelings. If my fiance had dinner with another woman, I would be angry, too! In fact, Miss Hamilton is very nice, she has a successful career and she’s very beautiful. Do you still want me?”
It would be a good thing if she could get Nick to give up the idea of possessing her.
However, this was a fantasy.
“You think I’m longing for you because I’m short of women?”
Veronica Parker pursed her lips. How could Nick lack women? He’s the powerful king of capital, the person in charge of KING Group and women are all flocking to him!
He found her but because she was the daughter of Chloe Bowen, he would torture her anytime, anywhere.
She knew this very well.
Even if he would get married and have children, no matter how many women there were outside, no one would dare to say anything.
“Don’t worry about other people, you just need to know who you belong to.”
