Chapter 62 Going Back To The Capital

Veronica Parker also moved out of bed, wearing pajamas with torn necklines and damaged parts.
She couldn’t think of anything else under the circumstances.
However, when she came out like this, she didn’t tell Isabella that she was not there in the morning. The room was a mess, so wouldn’t she be frightened?
There was nothing she could do when she was scared. She couldn’t go back at all, so she had to call Isabella after she separated from Nick Cage later.
Then out of the hotel, looking up was Nick with his tall and straight back, out of reach.
Veronica found that Nick’s mood was very cold, and the energy of his whole body was so overwhelming that it was hard for people to breathe.
It had been like this since Nick got up. Was it because he touched her? No way.
Veronica couldn’t believe she slept with Nick all night.
It was just a simple rest.
But didn’t she think Nick was weird if she didn’t do anything?
According to reason, he would not let her go, as last night he was like an arrow in a hurry to blow up, and the next second that he could easily possess her and tear her up. Why did he let her go at last?
Sure enough, Nick was the most uncertain and dangerous person!
Veronica looked at the clock on the background wall as she passed the front desk. She went and saw that it was almost ten o’clock!
After Nick got on the car, Veronica stood by the door and wondered if she wanted to go up there, too. Could she find her own transportation?
She preferred to stand by the side of the road and watch Nick’s car leave, and then go back to her grandmother’s house which seemed to be a little difficult.
The bodyguard next to her waited against the door, which did not mean anything but that she did not have the right to choose.
Veronica pursed her lips and got into the car.
The car left the hotel immediately.
Less than 50 meters on the road, Veronica’s stomach was grunting, which was particularly loud in the closed and silent space.
Nick looked over with indifference.
Veronica covered her stomach and bowed her head, her face flushed and her eyes flashing, eager to find a hole in the ground.
Could you blame her?
She didn’t eat in the morning, and now it was 10:00 for lunch. Could she not be hungry?
‘You’re not going back to the capital by car, are you?’ With the tough performance of Nick, it would take an hour or two to shorten the time, that was to say, she had to sit in the car hungry for such a long time.
“Mr. Cage, why don’t we go after breakfast? There is also food in the town.” As Veronica spoke, her words froze against Nick’s sharp, cold black eyes.
“Hungry?”
Veronica Parker thought, ‘How ferocious!’
It looked like Nick won’t eat here.
Yes, it was unthinkable to let BOSS of the KING Group stay in such a place for one night and let him have breakfast with those civilians in the breakfast shop.
Looked like she had been thinking too much.
It was just that it was a last resort, wasn’t it? Who would rather be hungry?
The car stopped.
The bodyguard opened the door and Nick went down.
Veronica felt strange. ‘Why did you get off the bus?’
She was stunned when she went down and saw the black helicopter parked not far away. ‘Are we going back by helicopter? If this is the case, we will be in the capital in more than half an hour.’
Veronica, who was left behind, pulled a bodyguard and asked, “Did he rent a plane?”
The bodyguard looked at her strangely and said, “It’s Mr. Cage’s private jet.”
Veronica touched her nose awkwardly. Well, she underestimated the rich people’s means of transportation.
This was the first time she had taken a helicopter.
After sitting on it, there was a sense of freshness, but she was also a little nervous. After all, the helicopter was not as stable as the passenger plane.
Veronica sat nervously next to Nick and grabbed his arm as the aircraft turned a corner.
Nick Cage looked faintly at the hand on his arm. Veronica Parker immediately withdrew her hand and flatted the material she had scratched. She smiled awkwardly and turned her flushed face to one side.
Two drops of tears needed to fall in an instant as the appearance of her vulnerability were evident, which was really too humiliating!
Veronica looked down, and the town became smaller and farther away, with all the scenery in sight.
She thought, ‘Peter only dreamed to ride an aircraft all day, but what he doesn’t know is that his pro-Daddy has a plane.’
She couldn’t help it. His daddy was too rich and his mom was too poor.
In more than thirty minutes, the helicopter landed on top of a building.
Veronica followed Nick from the plane, into the elevator, and down.
Halfway down, the elevator stopped, and the door opened so they went out.
Outside the elevator door stood two rows of attendants, women on one side and men on the other, wearing headsets, stooping and bowing their heads, ready–
“Mr. Page!”
This posture made Veronica feel like a cat pretending to be a tiger.
The floor was a restaurant, magnificent and elegant, but no other guests were seen.
Seeing Nick sit down, Veronica hesitated and asked, “Mr. Cage, we have arrived at the capital, so should I be going ahead?”
Nick leaned lazily in his seat, but his black eyes were raised with a cold, low voice and awe. “Sit down.”
“Do I eat here, too?” Veronica was surprised.
“Do you want me to repeat it?”
Veronica had to sit down opposite him, winged carefully.
The waiter handed over the menu and Veronica took it. She looked up and saw Nick meeting her eyes and then landing on the menu.
Deep energy, expressionless face, even while looking at the menu, was very much like the way he dealt with important documents of the KING Group.
“Mr. Cage’s business here is not very good, isn’t it?” When Veronica saw the waiter standing a meter away, she asked in a low voice.
Nick raised his black eyes and looked at her silently.
“It’s time for lunch. How come it’s just the two of us?”
Nick withdrew his eyes with an expressionless face and said, “Order.”
“Oh.” Seeing that he didn’t answer, Veronica looked down at the menu, looked at a few pages, and then asked, “Why isn’t there a price list on it?” She took a closer look at it and said, “There is no such thing as…”
“I never look at the price when I eat.” Nick didn’t look up.
Veronica Parker understood the meaning of his words.
He never looked at the price, so clearly marking prices were superfluous.
Sure enough, she didn’t understand the world of the rich.
Every time she bought clothes and other things for Peter, she always bought them at a discount. It was also a rare luxury, and it hurt badly.
Not to mention their own quality of life if she could afford it.
Veronica looked down at herself as if she had just remembered that she was still in her pajamas.
The neckline was still broken.
At first glance, this was a high-end place. It must be the first time that someone had come in for dinner in pajamas.
Fortunately, it was just her and Nick, so the waiter was very professional and won’t look at it.
She was eased with some of the embarrassment.
Veronica just ordered two dishes at random. Nick put the menu on the table and said, “It’s business as usual.”
“Yes.”
The waiter went down as if she and Nick were the only ones left in the space, and the air was uncomfortable.
Nick was calm, looking at the street view outside the floor-to-ceiling window as if Veronica didn’t exist.
Veronica really wanted to hide somewhere to call Isabella, but it looked like this was within Nick’s sphere of influence.
If a waiter saw her and tells Nick Cage, she couldn’t argue.
She had no choice but to endure.
There was always a doubt in her heart, and after a moment of hesitation, she asked, “Mr. Cage, how did you know about my grandmother’s house? You’re not having me followed, are you?”
