Although Veronica Parker thought that they were just waiting for a rich VIP, she was feeling uneasy for some reason.
Her limbs were becoming weak.
She glanced anxiously at the time on her cell phone and as soon as she put it down, there was a commotion at the entrance.
The captain and the flight attendant stood respectfully at the entrance.
Veronica was confused when she saw several men in black suits coming in.
She searched the men’s eyes and Veronica turned pale as she froze her face.
She stood up and ran to the back of the plane.
“Stop!”
Veronica Parker thought that she was not a fool to stop.
She opened the bathroom door, went in, and locked the door.
Veronica Parker looked at the door defensively. She would never go out.
She was trembling all over when she heard the knock at the door.
“Miss Parker, please come with us. Do you want to keep a plane full of people waiting for you?”
Veronica certainly didn’t think so.
There was a lot of confusion in her head.
She never thought that after she passed the security check, she would only be found by Nick’s people when the plane was about to take off!
She didn’t want to go out. If she would go out, she would be taken away by Nick. She didn’t know what he would do to her.
She was scared!
“Miss Parker, Mr. Cage is on the phone.” There was a sound from outside.
Veronica Parker was stunned. Nick Cage called? It meant that Nick Cage did not come. Although he did not come, the frightening force deeply enveloped her.
“Miss Parker, Mr. Cage said that he was impatient. Do you want us to break in?”
Veronica Parker was startled.
After she hesitated for a few seconds, she slowly opened the door.
The man in black was looking at her coldly on the front.
The leader still had a cell phone in his hand and handed it to her.
Veronica Parker held the phone. She carefully placed it near her ears. She heard the cold voice of Nick, “Are you willing to come out?”
“What on earth are you doing?” Veronica Parker bit her lips, she was asking in horror and anger.
“I told you that as long as I don’t agree, you can’t even touch the side of the capital. Your memory doesn’t seem to be very good.” Nick’s voice was intimidating and gloomy.
“Why? Why don’t you let me go? Can’t I stay away from you?” Veronica was angry.
“There would be no such thing!” Nick’s voice was cold. “Don’t let me get you myself.”
With that, the phone hung up.
Veronica’s hand shook and the phone almost fell off.
The bodyguard took the phone over and made a gesture of invitation, “Miss Parker, please!”
Veronica Parker bit her lip tightly. Everyone on the plane was looking at her. They were looking puzzled and even envious.
Why would they envy her?
When Veronica Parker walked down the aisle, she heard someone say, “Whose little wife escaped?”
Veronica Parker was escorted into the car by hordes of bodyguards. Even the prisoners were not so airtight like this.
As she sat in the car, she felt empty as she stared outside the window, her hands and feet were weak because of nervousness.
At the moment, Nick really took her back.
So, did she have to be a person controlled by Nick in the future? She would be inseparable from the capital and she would stay beside Nick Cage with one hand covering the sky.
Only one day after leaving Winter Villa, she was brought here again.
The whole Winter Villa was like a deep devil’s den and the darkness in the distance was like a hideous species.
Veronica looked at the entrance to the main hall and hesitated to go in. She knew she would be torn and eaten alive by the beast inside. She would never get out alive.
But she had to go in eventually.
Veronica Parker walked slowly into the hall. She did not see the figure of Nick Cage.
Even the place where the servants stayed was empty.
The strong atmosphere was in the air. Veronica Parker was very nervous.
Why did Nick Cage have his men bring her here?
If she wouldn’t see Nick Cage, she wouldn’t be able to guess what he was going to do. The danger of ignorance was like a knife lagging behind her fragile heart.
Veronica put her hands in front of him. She wrapped them tightly around each other. It turned white with force.
If she didn’t call Isabella in three hours, she would understand.
Behind her came the sound of footsteps. It was steady and it was going nearer and nearer. Every step stunned her heart, and her heartbeat was thumping irregularly.
“Why don’t you run?”
Veronica turned in horror and looked into his dark eyes.
When Nick arrived, the powerful momentum forced Veronica’s body to take a step back.
Her chin was held firmly and forcefully. He forced her to look at his face. “It seems that your life is not important for you to dare and resist me like this. Huh?”
“Well. No, I didn’t want to annoy you. That’s why I left.” Veronica explained.
“Did I allow you to leave? Huh?”
Veronica gasped restlessly, “No.”
Nick said, “Are you trying to disobey me?”
“I definitely didn’t mean that.” Veronica rebutted hurriedly.
How would she, a small potato, dare to go against the king of capital?
There were six children in her family who needed to be taken care of. They had to live well.
It was just that she never thought that Nick Cage would even control the departure time of the plane. It was as if everything was under his control.
“Very good.” Nick’s thin lips spit out two words that made Veronica chill all over. Then he tightened his hands on her wrist and he pulled her over.

The basement door was pushed open and Veronica Parker was thrown inside.
“Ah!” Veronica Parker staggered and sat down on the ground. She looked defensively at the condescending man in front of her.
The hostility spread all over her body, it caused her to have a difficulty in breathing because of fear.
Veronica Parker was wondering if she was having an asthma attack.
“Don’t do this, I don’t seem to be feeling well.” Veronica Parker said as she covered her chest.
Something was thrown in front of her and it rolled around.
Veronica Parker looked down and froze. It was an asthma spray.
Why did he take the spray with him?
“Despite the illness, there is plenty of medicine.”
Veronica Parker didn’t realize that he was so non-human that he took medicine with him because he wanted to see her as he tortured her?
Nick came forward, held her chin, and lifted it.
Veronica’s neck was stretched a lot, it caused her mouth to slightly open.
Nick’s handsome face was close at hand and it was very cold. “Do you want to escape? Stay here and reflect on yourself. You can’t take a step out of here without my orders!”
With that, he loosened his grip on Veronica’s jaw and turned away.
Veronica Parker sat on the floor and before she knew it, the basement door was closed.
She hurriedly stood up and rushed to pull the door but the door would not open.
“Nick Cage, let me out! You can’t keep me here! I have to go back! I’m not running anymore. I’m not running anymore. Let me out!” Veronica slammed the door so hard that the palms of her hands were tingling and red but the door was still motionless.
