“Did you get the girl?” Susan asked the moment she stepped into her Mitchell’s house.
“Obviously,” Mitchell replied rudely.
“Where’s my daughter?” Susan asked, ignoring Mitchell. She had known Mitchell for a very long time, she was a spoiled brat as she was terribly pampered by her late mother.
“Your daughter backed out, and now it’s just you and me in this game.” Mitchell replied with disdain.
“What do you mean she backed out? She’ll never do that. Stop lying,” Susan yelled at Mitchell.
“She found her mate!” Mitchell said with a grin and Susan’s face fell. That was what Mitchell wanted, she knew how much Susan had done just to make her daughter Jason’s Luna but at the end of the day, Jacinta forgot all those efforts.
“Her mate? Did she accept him?” Susan asked tensed. Jacinta couldn’t do this to her, she spent years orchestrating how to make Her Jason’s Luna. She spent numerous resources, time and energy, so Jacinta wouldn’t do this to her.
“Yes, you should know better. She abandoned our mission and went after her mate, so that meant, she accepted to be his mate.”
Susan’s heart was shattered. She just stood in one spot looking blankly at the ceiling. How could Jacinta do this to her? After all her efforts?
“I’ll be on my way,” Susan finally spoke after long minutes of silence.
“Really? Aren’t you going to join me in dealing with the girl?” Mitchell asked.
“No, I won’t be joining you anymore. The person I did all this for, has made her choice. So I’m backing out too,” Susan said and walked away.
“Good riddance to bad rubbish. Jason is mine. No one can take him away from me,” Mitchell celebrated.
Meanwhile, as Susan rode home, she was angrily cursing under her breath.
“Why would Jacinta choose someone who isn’t Jason? Who is the man? What if he’s an omega? Argh, that would be so terrible.”
Susan wanted her daughter to be among the most influential people in the kingdom. She wanted her to be an Alpha’s mate, why would Jacinta settle for less when there was high to aim for?
She lost her husband, she lost Isabella all for Jacinta and this is what she got!
Susan increased the speed of the car, she drove crazily and even scared people away from the road.
“Stupid child!” Susan screamed and flung her handbag the moment she got into her house.
“Who?” Someone spoke and she screamed in fear.
“What are you doing here?” Susan asked her now ex-husband.
“Here? This is my house, and I am here to take back my house.” He replied calmly, he was comfortably seated on the couch.
“That’s not possible! This is my house, not yours. Get out this moment!” Susan fired back. She wasn’t going to lose her house after losing her family, that wasn’t fair at all.
“It would have been your house if we were still married, but now it’s no more your house but mine. Anyway, I just came to tell you to get ready to pack out of the building so that my daughter and her mate will move in and live with me as a one big family.”
Susan froze.
“You kn…ew?” She asked shakily. He knew that Jacinta had a man she was mated to, but how did he get to know? It only happened last night, and he was already fully aware.
“Yes, I knew, she told me herself. It was so pleasing to know that she took my advice over yours and got mated to her destined mate. She’s in safe hands, I can proudly say.”
Boom! The door was kicked open in force, startling the both of them.
Eyes that burned with fury pierced through their bones, and they both bowed their head in submission to Alpha Jason. The amount of his alpha aura he released was suffocating.
“Where is Ariella?” Jason asked impatiently. Any little provocation from anyone at that moment would make hell break loose.
“I honestly don’t know Alpha,” Susan’s ex-husband spoke with difficulty. Jason immediately looked at Susan, ordering her to answer his question with his eyes, and she spoke,
“I don’t know either, I swear Alpha,” She lied. How could she disclose where Ariella was kept when Ariella was the enemy who scattered Jacinta’s wedding by showing up? No matter how much aura Jason released on her, she wasn’t going to disclose any information to him.
Jason sighed and reduced the aura he was giving out. He wasn’t pacified. No! He wasn’t. Mrs. Susan was proving stubborn, and he didn’t like it a bit.
“So you mean, you don’t know where she’s at? By the way, where’s Jacinta?” Jason asked, calmly waiting for Susan’s response.
“What do you have to do with my daughter’s whereabouts?” Susan asked back arrogantly. Only if she knew that question was a trap she wouldn’t have answered.
“How dare you talk to me like that!” Jason roared in anger.
“I’m sorry Alpha, Jacinta found her mate and is with him,” Jacinta’s father immediately apologized on her behalf, but it was too late because Jason’s mind was already made up.
“Leave us!” Jason instructed, looking at Jacinta’s father and he left swiftly.
“You dare lie to me, your Alpha, about not knowing my mate’s whereabouts.” Jason spoke, releasing a toxic amount of his Alpha’s Aura.
Susan, who has never felt this kind of Aura from Jason, bowed helplessly, whimpering in fear.
“Jacinta told me everything you both did to me and Ariella. All your secrets are exposed, and you have no place to run to.”
“No way. She wouldn’t dare do that to me, you blatant liar,” Susan stubbornly screamed despite the effect of the Aura, and that angered Jason more.
How could she call him a liar? Was she insane?
Rage filled Jason, Susan didn’t only lie to him, she called him a liar too. Blinded by rage, Jason grabbed her like she was some piece of garbage and flung her away.
Susan, whose head was bowed now saw herself flying in the air, and before she could process what had happened, a sharp pain hit her head and she blacked out.
Jason looked at the woman who laid on the floor with disdain, she was lucky his mother begged him not to kill her knowing the kind of temper he had, if not, he would have ripped her into two.
Now his biggest problem was how to locate Mitchell, he had gone to Matias house to look for her but was met with the sight of guards who were alive, but their consciousness was asleep.
He instantly knew it was Mitchell’s handiwork because Jacinta told him how they were into hypnotism.
Mitchell was stubborn and not an easy nut to crack, Jason was frustrated, there was no lead on how to track her down. What if she had killed Ariella?
Jason, although he acted tough, was tensed. He was going to kill Mitchell if she laid a finger on his mate. Jason thought of all the places where Mitchell might have taken Ariella to but couldn’t come up with any reasonable solution.
Not even Daisy had felt the amount of pains he experienced this past two days of not seeing his mate. It was as though the color from his life was taken away.
“Alpha, we found a man who opened up to seeing Mitchell take your woman away,” A voice spoke through the mind link, interrupting Jason’s thoughts.
“Where did he say she took her to?” Jason asked impatiently.
“The forbidden mountain.”
