Chapter 1431: Special Constitution

Book:The All-powerful Son-In-Law Published:2024-8-7

At this moment, the Corpse Worm Curse in the glass jar was barely alive.
Leo guessed that this Curse Worm was likely the opponent’s Life-Bound Curse. If he killed the Curse Worm, the opponent might lose their last bit of vitality.
Ignoring the Curse Worm for now, the priority was to treat Bianca.
After the Corpse Worm Curse burst out, Bianca’s skin no longer looked strange. Although it was very pale, it was improving.
The most horrifying sight was the large wound on her abdomen. Though it had stopped bleeding, her intestines were visible.
Fortunately, Leo had prepared Talismans in advance to suppress the wound. Otherwise, such a large injury would have been fatal even without the Curse Worm.
Taking the last Talisman from the altar, Leo walked to the bedside, ready to use this Healing Rune to treat Bianca.
But before that, Leo needed to examine Bianca’s physical condition.
Leo had a vague intuition that there was something special about Bianca’s body. Otherwise, the Dark Sorcerer wouldn’t have gone to such lengths to harm an ordinary girl.
If the opponent merely wanted to kill her, they wouldn’t need to release their Life-Bound Curse Worm.
Additionally, Leo knew that a Life-Bound Curse Worm could devour a person’s constitution and fortune.
It seemed that Bianca either had a special constitution or unique fortune.
Leo carefully examined Bianca’s internal condition.
Outside the door, Frank Lee and Thomas had regained their composure.
They felt that Leo had handled the situation, but without his instructions, they didn’t dare to enter.
Thomas looked at Leo’s back with not only admiration and gratitude but also a bit of awe.
He was glad he hadn’t judged Leo by his appearance earlier; otherwise, offending Leo would have been a huge mistake.
Having witnessed the scene firsthand, Frank Lee gained a deeper understanding of Leo’s abilities.
“So that’s it… It’s the Body of Fortune!”
Leo withdrew his consciousness and looked at the unconscious Bianca on the bed, a look of realization on his face.
The Body of Fortune was a very special constitution. It wasn’t an exceptional cultivation physique but a rare fortune-bearing constitution.
Everyone is born with their own fortune. Some have strong fortune, some have good fortune, some have weak fortune, and some have bad fortune.
It’s like destiny; it has its ups and downs.
Generally speaking, a person’s fortune-luck-is intangible and elusive.
But the Body of Fortune is a very special exception.
The Body of Fortune doesn’t carry innate fortune but is a constitution that can generate its own fortune.
This fortune could be wealth, blessings, longevity, or all three.
In other words, if not for being cursed by the Dark Sorcerer, Bianca would have had exceptional luck throughout her life, succeeding in everything she did.
Leo decided to treat Bianca while also helping her hide her unique Body of Fortune.
With a quick hand gesture, Leo pointed at Bianca’s forehead.
A peculiar wave spread through the room as three flames ignited on Bianca’s palms and abdomen.
The pale blue flames gradually turned milky white.
As the milky white flames on her abdomen disappeared, Bianca’s wound miraculously healed without leaving a scar.
When the flames on her palms vanished, Bianca’s complexion turned rosy instead of pale.
Her previously pained expression became peaceful as if she were merely asleep.
Covering Bianca with a blanket, Leo turned and said, “Dr. Lee, Thomas, you can come in now.”
Thomas had been waiting for this moment and rushed into the room. Looking at his daughter’s face, he nervously asked, “Leo, how is my daughter?”
“She’s fine now. She’ll wake up after eight hours of sleep. Make sure to cook some black chicken soup for her to nourish her body,” Leo replied.
“Thank you for saving my daughter,” Thomas said gratefully.
Back in the living room, the three sat on the sofa.
On the coffee table was a glass jar containing the Corpse Worm Curse, motionless and uncertain if it was dead or alive.
“Leo, this thing…” Thomas looked at the jar with lingering fear.
Leo explained, “Your daughter was cursed.”
Thomas knew about such curses and worriedly asked, “What if they try again?”
“You don’t need to worry about that. The opponent was severely injured by my attack and won’t have the ability to curse again.”
Hearing this, Thomas finally felt relieved.
With the matter settled, Leo took his leave.
Thomas gave Leo a generous reward and exchanged contact information with him.
Leo placed the glass jar containing the Corpse Worm Curse in the back seat and drove to the outskirts.
He needed to find an isolated place to deal with the Corpse Worm Curse in the jar.
Arriving at a deserted area in the suburbs, Leo took out the glass jar from the car and placed it on the ground.
The Corpse Worm Curse inside looked barely alive.
Leo poured out the Corpse Worm Curse from the jar and used a Spirit Fire Talisman to turn it into ashes.
After destroying the Corpse Worm Curse, Leo dusted off his hands and drove back to town.
Red Maple Mountain Range, Azure Dragon Valley.
Donovan Coleman and Elder Frederick sat under a maple tree.
A fragrant tea aroma wafted from a stone table between them.
Although both appeared excited, there was a hint of solemnity in their eyes.
“Mr. Coleman, the space gate to the secret realm will fully open soon,” Elder Frederick said.
“Yes, the timing recorded in our family’s ancient texts is accurate,” Donovan Coleman replied with a gleam in his eyes as he looked westward.
Elder Frederick continued, “The opening of this space gate has attracted considerable attention from various forces.”
“It seems that top experts from around the world will gather there. Conflict is inevitable. Elder Frederick, start preparing,” Donovan Coleman said seriously.
Elder Frederick nodded in agreement.
Sagsoll Mountain, True Martial Sect headquarters, in a guest courtyard.
Walter Rossetti and Elder Redmond-who had lost an arm to Leo-had been staying at True Martial Sect for over half a month.
They were waiting for Elder Dylan, who still hadn’t emerged from seclusion.
Without Elder Dylan’s help, they couldn’t go after Leo.
During their stay at True Martial Sect, Walter Rossetti felt uneasy every day as he awaited Elder Dylan’s return.
Just then, someone pushed open the courtyard gate and entered.
The newcomer wore white robes with gold trim and appeared to be around thirty years old. He had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes with an arrogant expression on his face.
This person was Derek, Elder Dylan’s chief disciple.
