After Morphy finished speaking, he instantly felt like crying.
“Okay. Remember to give me a report after you come back.”
He still needed to write a report? Not only did he want to cry right now, but he also wanted to die.
Why was he oppressed by his cousin so badly? Why? Shouldn’t older brothers dote on younger brothers?
Just when Morphy was whining to himself, a gentle message came from the other end of the line.
“I will take care of Grandfather for you.”
“All right then.” Morphy sighed. His grandfather only listened to his cousin. He could only count on him to settle everything for him.
This was also why he always admired and respected his cousin.
Once Sachin found out that Rosiley had suffered a burn, he abandoned his work and rushed home immediately.
He pushed open the bedroom door and saw her lying on the bed.
He walked to one side of the bed, lowered his head, and his gaze fell onto her quiet face. A stream of light flowed faintly in his dark eyes.
His gaze moved downward. The collar of her pajamas was a little low, so he saw the redness on her chest.
His heart wrenched harshly and his sharp brows furrowed tight. His eyes were filled with pity. He stretched out his hand, wanting to touch her. However, when he was just about to touch her skin, his fingers curled slowly.
He was afraid that he would hurt her.
Rosiley was feeling hazy from her sleep. She could subtly feel someone looking at her.
But she was in her own house, so how could there be someone looking at her?
After struggling for a while, she finally opened her eyes slowly. A familiar figure appeared in front of her.
“Sachin.” She blurted out directly without thinking about who it was.
Hearing her voice, Sachin turned his gaze away from her chest and looked at her. He smiled gently. “Yes, it’s me.”
“Why are you back?”
“Shouldn’t he be at work?”
Rosiley sat up and Sachin put a pillow behind her.
His gaze swept across the wound on her chest. He said faintly, “I came back to see how you’re doing.”
Noticing his gaze, her brows lifted. “Morphy told you.”
He did not reply, but the pain in his eyes was clearly visible.
Rosiley laughed it off. “It’s just a mild burn, not a big deal. You don’t need to worry.”
“It’s already so red, you call this a mild burn?” Sachin’s brows were furrowed tight. “I’ll bring you to another doctor.”
After saying that, he tried to lift her up.
“It’s fine.” Rosiley lifted her hand and placed it on his chest. She smiled helplessly. “It’s really fine, it’s just a mild burn. Besides, I already feel much better after applying medication.”
Seeing that he was still not convinced, she sighed gently and grabbed his hand. She looked up into his deep gaze and pouted her lips pitifully. “I want you to make porridge for me.”
Sachin gazed at her deeply. He knew that she did not want him to worry too much or be too anxious, so she tried to divert his attention.
He grabbed her hand tightly and then let it go. “What kind of porridge do you want to eat?”
Rosiley broke into a smile. “Seafood porridge.”
“Wait for me.” He caressed her hair dotingly and then turned to walk out of the room.
Watching his backside disappear in the doorway, Rosiley heaved a sigh. Then, a sweet and blissful smile spread across the corners of her lips.
He had laid aside his work and came back to check on her. This showed how worried he was. However, she did not want to affect his work.
Biting onto her lips, she made a decision.
She would have a good talk with him later during the meal.
