Ever since they learned about each other’s identity, Morphy used all sorts of excuses to have Rosiley come to his office.
Nothing had happened after one or two such occurrences. However, when their private meetings increased, rumors regarding the two started within the company.
Some said that Rosiley was Morphy’s sugar baby.
Some said that Morphy bought TEG News all because of Rosiley.
Others were even more ridiculous and came up with a drama between the aristocratic families.
They said that Rosiley was Morphy’s first love. The two loved each other but they were unable to get the approval of the Shen family.
When Yayoi told such stories to Rosiley, the latter’s eyes twitched as she complained, “Such ridiculous plots are disgusting, even as part of a novel.”
“Why didn’t they say that I was actually the stepmother of Morphy? Incest is more exciting.”
Yayoi was speechless.
Only she could entertain herself amidst all these rumors.
Actually, Rosiley wasn’t just entertaining herself. She merely believed that there was no need to pay any mind to such non-existent matters. If she were to argue with those people, the rumors might get even more ridiculous.
A person with a clear conscience would eventually be cleared of such rumors.
Thus, she worked and rested as usual, completely unaffected by such rumors.
However, others were unable to hold themselves back.
“Hey, isn’t this the future wife of our CEO?”
Rosiley was walking toward the break room with her cup in hand when a sarcastic voice rang out.
She looked over in the direction of the voice. It was her nemesis, Lonny.
She raised her brows. Lonny was someone who would get more energetic the more you responded to her.
Thus, she chose to ignore her.
Hence, she walked directly to the water dispenser to get some water.
She didn’t want to talk to her. However, the other party did not want to let her off.
“Rosiley, did you not hear what I said? Are you deaf?”
Rolling her eyes, Rosiley turned around and looked at Lonny, smiling gently. “Deputy Manager Lu, were you speaking just now? Wasn’t it just a dog barking?”
Lonny’s expression turned gloomy before she walked directly up to Rosiley while staring at her with cold eyes. “Rosiley, do you really think CEO Shen likes you? Funny, you are merely his toy.”
“Toy?” Rosiley chuckled before playing with her hair, eyebrows raised. “Unfortunately, some people can’t even act as toys.”
Having her sore spot poked, Lonny opened her eyes in anger as hatred shot out of them. She gritted her teeth and said, “Rosiley, don’t be too arrogant. Eventually, you will die miserably.”
“I shall wait for that.” Rosiley smiled at her before turning around to leave.
She did not notice the malice in Lonny’s eyes. Hence, she screamed out in shock when her long hair was pulled from behind. She fell back, and the water in the cup she was holding spilled all over her breasts.
As it was summer, she only wore a thin dress, which did nothing to protect her from the scalding water.
The skin on her breasts was burning as she frowned in frustration. Enduring the pain, Rosiley turned to stare at the perpetrator—

“I’m sorry. I accidentally grabbed your hair.”
Lonny apologized hypocritically, her eyes full of satisfaction.

Lonny’s delighted face was slapped. She then covered her stinging cheek.
She was about to open her mouth and scold Rosiley but she was met with Rosiley’s cold stare, which was akin to December snow. She became afraid and swallowed her words.
“Lonny, do you want to die a miserable death?” Rosiley approached her with a gloomy and frightening expression.
Lonny was scared and stepped back involuntarily. “What do you want?” Her voice was trembling from fear.
