You are a liar!

Book:Werewolf King, Please Don't Marry Me! Published:2024-8-2

Elijah’s Mother Luna Queen Phebe’s POV;
“I wasn’t imagining things. She indeed look exactly like her” Now that I have seen it with my own eyes, I was more astonished than before. How can I not guess before?
“Look like who, if I may ask?” Hazel asked confusedly.
‘Is she even for real?’
“Rose, Crown prince’s mate. Doesn’t she look like Mary?” I asked with an arched eyebrow.
“Oh, yes, your Highness. Now that you have mentioned it, she is indeed the exact copy of Ms. Mary Dawson” Hazel nodded her head with a bright smile.
That darn fool! Why is she smiling like that?
“Didn’t you think that when you first saw her?” I asked, while glaring at Hazel for playing fool with me.
“Pardon me, Your Majesty. I thought she looked like someone I knew when you first said it but I also couldn’t remember as it’s been nearly three decades since I saw Ms. Dawson last” She looked down with fear.
“It’s okay. It’s good enough that we know now” I said while turned around to move out of the room.
I don’t have much time to waste on this fool!
“Where are you going, your majesty?” she asked, following closely behind.
“To meet my son’s mate” I replied calmly, but I couldn’t control the growling sound which came from the back of my head.
“At this hour?” she asked, her eyes were as wide as flying saucers.
“I need answers. Nobody is allowed to fool me or my son” I gritted my teeth.
“Very well” She looked down once again in surrender.
“Follow me” I said while I moved out of that dungeon of a store room.
I stormed towards Elijah’s chambers. I know it’s late but there is no better time than this one. No one is here to protect her. She has to tell me the truth!
How dare she hid her true identity!
Once I deal with Rose, I will deal with that little munchkin Layla too! There is no way she didn’t know but she still hid it!
I don’t know if I should be proud of her for her loyalty towards the future king or I should kill her for being an awful niece!
“We are here, your Highness” I heard Hazel’s faint voice.
While I was having a serious battle in my head, I didn’t notice that I was already standing near Elijah’s mate’s door.
“Oh… yes” I replied, blinking twice.
I knocked the door and waited for the response but nothing.
I knocked again but still no answer.
From what I knew Layla was going to sleep with her tonight. Were they drinking or what? This must be Layla’s idea!
I was about to push the door open when Hazel interrupted me.
“It is inappropriate to just barge in, your Highness” She told me, her eyes were glued to the ground and her entire face was dripping with sweat. She didn’t have enough courage to look me in the eye.
“How dare you! This is MY PACK! I can do any bloody thing I want!” I shouted in anger.
She took a step back, eyes were still stuck at the floor.
Just when I was about to do my second attempt, the door opened and a very worried Rose came outside.
“Your Highness?” She did curtsey but there was a big question mark on her face.
Without giving her much time to think, I pointed an accusing finger at her
“You!”
…..
Rose’s POV;
The way I heard growling sound coming from outside, I thought the pack was under attack because the main male protectors of the pack is not present but when I went outside I saw Elijah’s mother standing in front of me, fuming with anger.
I was looking at the tip of her finger pointed directly towards me,
“Mme..?”
“You lied to me! You are a liar!” She growled in anger.
“I did?” I asked in astonishment.
I had no idea why is she accusing me in the middle of the night.
“Don’t act innocent in front of me! You know what I am talking about!” She again pointed that finger.
I calmed myself down. I can’t back answer her like I do with my relatives and I seriously have no idea why is she creating a scene in the middle of the night.
Compared to this situation, I was more taken aback by Layla’s sleep. How can she sleep so peacefully when Queen Phebe is literally screaming her voice cords out!
“I apologize for the mistake in advance but can you please elaborate on what happened?” I asked politely. I could feel my palms getting sweaty.
“You are Mary Dawson’s daughter” She growled in anger. She was literally radiating heat when spoke my mother’s name.
Uh-oh! Looks like I am in trouble. I should have told her in the first meeting. I shouldn’t have waited for Elijah!
I felt like my body was about to collapse. I did multiple attempt to reply but words were not ready to come out of my mouth.
How am I supposed to say ‘Yes, your son’s mate is your husband’s ex lover’s daughter who ran with the enemy, thank you’
Her face darkened when I didn’t reply for a while.
“Ye… yes.. but.. I .. Uh.. Um…” I tried to speak but failed.
“Say It Out Loud!” This time her words were colder than the ice berg.
The maid which came with her was shivering in fear.
If I don’t reply, she might end up eating me alive.
I accepted my defeat. I have to tell her the truth. She might kick me out and I won’t be able to meet Elijah again but I can’t run away from this anymore.
I opened my mouth to reply but a deep husky amazingly familiar voice made me shut it again.
“Yes, she is Rosaline Blue, daughter of Mary Blue who was previously known as Mary Dawson”
I turned around to see the love of my life standing in front of the hallway.
“Elijah!”
