Book:The Primus Of The Country Published:2024-7-29

Chris Shelby tore off the human skin mask from Fantom’s face, revealing a hideous visage. His face was covered in scars, densely packed and unbearable to look at. No wonder Fantom disguised himself as different people; his true face was unpresentable.
At that moment, Bull rushed over with dozens of men. Seeing Chris Shelby and the others unharmed, Bull breathed a sigh of relief. He approached Chris Shelby respectfully and asked, “Mr. Shelby, are you alright?”
Chris Shelby shook his head and said, “I’m fine!”
Bull had just received news that someone attempted to assassinate Esther at the KTV. Upon hearing this, Bull was terrified. If something happened to Esther on his turf, he would be doomed. Without hesitation, Bull immediately brought his men over.
Fortunately, the assassin had already been killed by Chris Shelby, and everything was under control. Looking at Fantom’s corpse on the ground, Bull curiously asked, “Mr. Shelby, is this the assassin?”
Chris Shelby nodded and said, “That’s right.”
Bull couldn’t help but express his disgust, “What an ugly assassin!”
Chris Shelby waved his hand and said, “Alright, get rid of the body quickly.”
After dealing with Fantom, Chris Shelby left the KTV with Esther and the others.
Back at the villa, Chris Shelby pondered who the mastermind behind Fantom could be. Someone had offered a bounty of one hundred million dollars in the Assassin Alliance to kill him and Esther. Whoever could afford such an amount must be someone significant. Chris Shelby was determined to find out who this mastermind was. Although he wasn’t afraid, being targeted was an unpleasant feeling.
With this thought in mind, Chris Shelby made a call to Lynx.
“Boss, what’s up?” Lynx asked as he answered the call.
Chris Shelby got straight to the point, “Lynx, I killed Fantom.”
“What? You killed Fantom?” Lynx exclaimed in surprise. No wonder he was the boss! Even an elusive assassin like Fantom could be taken down by him. Lynx’s admiration for Chris Shelby deepened even further.
Chris Shelby continued, “Lynx, I need you to investigate who is behind Fantom.”
Lynx nodded and replied, “Got it! Boss, don’t worry; I’ll get to the bottom of this.”
Chris Shelby added, “Also, keep an eye on the Assassin Alliance’s movements. Since Fantom failed his mission, they might send another assassin. If they do, contact me immediately.”
“Understood. I’ll have people closely monitor the Assassin Alliance,” Lynx assured before hanging up.
After ending the call, Chris Shelby muttered with a steely expression, “No matter who you are, you’d better hope I don’t find you! If I do, I’ll make sure you have no place to hide!”
As he spoke these words, a terrifying aura of killing intent emanated from Chris Shelby.
Meanwhile…
At East Coast University’s boxing club.
“Useless! You’re all useless! You’ve completely disgraced our boxing club!” roared Coldblood from the stage.
“Over a thousand of you against one person and you still lost? Are you all a bunch of worthless fools?” The members of the boxing club stood with their heads lowered in silence.
Standing on stage was a man dressed in combat gear-Coldblood-the former president of East Coast University’s boxing club. Upon hearing that the club had been humiliated, he was furious! As a senior student no longer eligible to hold any club presidency by school regulations, Coldblood had passed on his position to Bobby. But now that such a scandal had occurred under Bobby’s leadership, Coldblood felt utterly disgraced.
Seeing Bobby lying severely injured on a stretcher before him, Coldblood slapped him without hesitation.
“Useless! How did I ever entrust you with leading the boxing club? You’ve embarrassed me so much; I regret giving you this position!”
Bobby dared not show any anger despite being slapped because Coldblood was the overlord of East Coast University while he was merely a small fry in comparison.
Covering his face with his hand in pain and humiliation, Bobby said pitifully, “Mr. Coldblood, it’s not my fault! That Chris Shelby is just too strong; we were no match for him!”
“Hmph!” Coldblood snorted coldly as his eyes flashed with fury. He didn’t want to hear Bobby’s excuses; now that the boxing club had been humiliated and he himself disgraced as its former president, he had to settle this score or lose face at East Coast University forever.
Coldblood asked icily, “Tell me everything about this Chris Shelby.”
Bobby shook his head and replied, “I don’t know much about him either except that he has a good relationship with Marie.”
“Marie? The campus beauty of East Coast University?” Coldblood sneered and called out loudly for attention.
Several members of the boxing club stepped forward immediately upon hearing his call.
Coldblood scanned them briefly before ordering coldly, “Go get Marie here right now!”
“Yes!” they responded in unison before leaving promptly.
Moments later Marie was brought in by several boxing club members against her will.
“What are you doing? Let go of me!” Marie protested as she struggled against them.
Coldblood stared at her intently before asking calmly but menacingly: “Are you Marie?”
Marie glared back defiantly: “Yes! Who are you?”
“Good! Since you’re Marie then things will be easier,” Coldblood replied coldly before introducing himself: “I’m Coldblood-the former president of this boxing club! Now call Chris Shelby immediately and tell him to come here right away! If he doesn’t show up then things won’t end well for you!”
“What? You’re Coldblood?” Marie exclaimed in shock upon hearing his name-Coldblood was infamous throughout East Coast University as its undisputed overlord whom no one dared cross because those who did never met good ends afterwards!
Realizing that calling Chris would only lead trouble towards him due Coldblood’s ill intentions towards him she refused firmly: “Dream on! I’m not calling Mr. Shelby!”
“You won’t?” Coldblood sneered again before ordering: “Take her phone away!”
Immediately several members moved forward trying snatch her phone while she screamed: “What are you doing? This is illegal! I’ll report this…”
“Report?” Coldblood scoffed dismissively-what nonsense reporting when even school authorities were powerless against him after all these years ruling over campus unchecked!
