Chapter 176: It’s A Tough Choice

She turned and left the private room.
Bianca, seeing Diana’s worried expression, swiftly excused herself from the others. “I’ll be right back; I’m going to check on her. You all take a break. We’ll continue the game when I get back.”
After Bianca left the private room, she followed Diana to the restroom.
The door was closed. From inside, Bianca heard Diana vomiting.
But Diana hadn’t even started drinking yet. Why was she throwing up? Bianca was puzzled.
“Diana, are you okay?” Bianca knocked on the door gently, her voice full of concern.
After a moment, the door opened. Diana emerged, looking pale with red eyes, which startled Bianca.
Bianca placed her hands on Diana’s shoulders, her voice filled with concern. “What’s happening? Are you feeling sick? Should I take you to the hospital?”
Diana weakly shook her head, her tough demeanor replaced by a frail appearance. “I’m okay, Bianc. Let’s go back. I don’t want to spoil everyone’s fun.”
“Your health is the most important thing. If you’re not well, we can skip the game today.”
“Trust me, I’ve never lied to you before. I’m feeling better now. Let’s go back. I’m curious to see what happens next.”
Diana gently tugged on Bianca’s wrist, her lively spirit returning as she led them back to the private room.
When they got back, the group was set for another round of the game.
This time, Nicolas had the lowest score, while a famous script writer came out on top.
Some in the room quietly complained, noticing how the men alternated between winning and losing.
Everyone was eager for the women to take their turn.
Nicolas, known for being distant and easily irritated in the industry, looked at everyone with cold indifference. No one thought he would show up today.
However, his presence added excitement to the game.
The scriptwriter, with a mischievous grin, said, “Sorry, Nicolas, but I’m choosing Dare this time. I dare you to pick someone in this room and give them a kiss. It can be anyone, male or female.”
Throughout Nicolas’s career, there had never been any rumors about his romantic life. No paparazzi had ever captured him with a woman, sparking speculation that he might be interested in men.
This was the perfect moment to test the theory about Nicolas’s sexuality.
After all, it would be challenging for someone gay to kiss a woman.
Brandon glanced at Nicolas, his brother, uncertain about Nicolas’s preferences-whether he likes men or women. Earlier, Michael had called Brandon in anger. Could it be because Nicolas had feelings for Sophia?
Nicolas surveyed the room with his icy stare. “Do I really have to do this?”
“Yes, you do. We agreed to follow the rules from the start.”
Nicolas’s gaze intensified. He looked at Sophia beside him and paused.
“Alright then, I’ll choose…”
“Hold on!” Brandon interrupted when he noticed Nicolas gazing tenderly at Sophia.
“Nicolas, I understand. Choosing someone for a kiss can be tricky. Let’s make it easier. Pick me. We’re both guys, so there’s no need to feel awkward. Just promise not to dare me if you win the next round,” Brandon suggested with a playful grin.
“How can you say that, Brandon?”
“You can’t bend the rules of the game like that.”
“The decision has to be Nicolas’s alone. Brandon can’t choose for him,” someone insisted.
Others chimed in, expressing their opinions.
Nicolas glanced at Brandon, who winked at him. Then, he glanced at Sophia from the corner of his eye.
Resisting a strong urge, Nicolas responded nonchalantly, “Okay, I’ll choose Brandon.”
With that, Nicolas promptly grabbed Brandon and lightly brushed his lips against Brandon’s cheek.
“Hey, is that all?” someone asked disappointedly.
Brandon, who was clearly heterosexual and had no romantic feelings for Nicolas, didn’t find any significance in the gesture.
Everyone felt disappointed.
“Let’s move on to the next round,” Brandon said, grabbing the dice to roll.
Dave had the lowest score this time, and Natalie had the highest.
Brandon and Nicolas were intrigued by this result, curious to see what Natalie would dare Dave to do.
Whatever Dave did would be quite a show, considering his usually serious attitude.
Some in the group felt disappointed, hoping this round would pass swiftly.
“Miss King, Truth or Dare?” someone in the group asked.
Natalie held the dice, her eyes fixed on Dave with a hint of allure. Her red lips formed a suggestive smile.
“It’s a tough choice,” she replied.
Her statement left everyone puzzled, their eyes focused on Natalie.
“What do you mean?” Brandon leaned in, curiosity clear in his voice.
Standing up, Natalie’s eyes gleamed as she gazed at Dave. “Truth or Dare is supposed to be thrilling. What just happened wasn’t thrilling enough. I’m considering adding some excitement with a more daring challenge. Mr. Evans, are you game for it?”
Her proposal sparked renewed interest among the others, their previously indifferent expressions now intrigued.
“We all agreed from the start to follow the game’s rules, no matter who we are. As long as it’s within the rules, the loser can’t refuse or break them.”
“Absolutely. Bianca, what do you think?”
Everyone knew Dave was Bianca’s boyfriend. Though his exact identity and status were mysterious, his calm yet commanding presence earned respect.
The decision was left to Bianca.
Bianca hesitated briefly, then said, “Miss King, as long as your suggestion follows the game’s rules, my boyfriend will go along with it.”
“Alright, go ahead, Miss King, let’s see what you’ve got.”
All eyes were on Natalie as she narrowed her eyes seductively. She reached into her bag and took out a shiny gold credit card. Leaning against the table, she stretched across the large surface, placing the card in front of Dave.
The room filled with puzzled looks.
With a smile, Natalie looked up at Dave and said, “Mr. Evans, this card has five million dollars on it. You have to choose between Bianca and this money. If you take the card and break up with Bianca now, the money is yours. But if you choose Bianca, you’re giving up five million dollars.”
After setting her challenge, Natalie returned to her seat on the sofa, arms and legs crossed, watching Dave closely for his decision.
Natalie had heard from Ashley that Dave’s relationship with Bianca was mainly about money. She believed a man like him would be drawn to wealth.
To Natalie, five million dollars was insignificant, especially compared to her own wealth as a top actress. But for Bianca and Dave, it was a significant amount. Natalie just wanted to embarrass Bianca in front of everyone.
The room fell silent; Natalie’s bold move had caught everyone off guard. Five million dollars wasn’t a small amount. For many, earning such a sum in a lifetime was a distant dream.
