“That’s the plan, darling.” He smirked, locked his lips with mine, and kissed me till I was out of breath.
After spoiling my lipstick nicely, he looked at me with satisfaction. I shook my head, wiped the lipstick from his lips, and then touched up my makeup again.
We heard the second knock on the door. Azar left to open the door, and I picked up my phone and clutch, ready to go down.
Azar came back. “Father is here,” he said, and, holding my hand, I started walking downstairs.
I noticed Father and Sanya were sitting and talking to Aunt Nina.
“Father,” I called him and ran towards him. I don’t know, somehow; I am feeling like I am meeting him after an age. I hug him tightly, like my life depends on him.
He laughed, looking at me. “Princess, we met only two days ago.”
I look up with teary eyes. “For me, it was two years, and I missed you, I said again, hugging him back. I don’t care what everyone thinks, but right now, I am the little princess of my father.
“I missed you too, my dear,” he said while creasing my hair.
“I hope you did not bother Azar much,” he said again, playfully looking at Azar.
I looked again and said, “what do you think am I four-year-old? Why would I bother him?” I asked with fake anger.
He laughed at me. “No, you are not four, but you are no bigger than five either. He laughed at his joke, and I noticed from the corner of my eyes that everyone was enjoying this.
“Whatever,” I said, pouting.
I looked towards Sanya, and she had a bored look on her face. As usual, I guess this look will become a permanent feature of her one day. Hence I ignored her as we walk to our car.
In some time, we reached home, and I was welcomed by my mom’s warm embrace. How I miss her.
“You look beautiful, Princess,” Mom said, admiring my look.
“Oh, come on, ma, you know the apple does not fall far from the tree, and I am your daughter, so beauty is in my genes.” I said, kissing her cheeks.
“Now I am hungry. Feed me something.” I said this while locking hands with her. She chuckles hearing this: “Tell me when the last time you ate?”
“Three days ago,” I said while taking my seat in the living room.
“So, you are saying you have eaten nothing since then?” She asked me, surprisingly.
“No Mom, I ate it, but it was not made by my mom. I am hungry for your handmade food now. Come on, don’t waste the time. Give me something.” I whine. There is nothing can beat the food made by my mother.
“God bless Azar; I don’t know how he will handle this child,” she said while shaking her head.
“That’s what I said,” Father butted in, taking his seat on the couch.
“Oh, please, I want to be a child in front of my parents. I don’t want to act all mature when I am with you guys. Now come on, you guys have talked too much in two days.” I said, folding my legs on the couch.
“Wait, Princess, I am getting something for you”. Saying this, she left the room, and I looked towards Father and Sanya.
“So, what time do we have to go to the temple, Sister”? I asked while messaging My King, that I have reached.
“Tomorrow at 11, but not we. Only you guys are going. I am not coming with you.” I looked up at hearing this and asked,
“Why are you not coming with us?” I asking looking at her face.
“Well, I cannot come due to, you know.” She said nothing in front of Father, but what I got was that she is in her period. I nod in agreement.
After getting a full plate of food and talking to Mom and Dad, I retire to my room to change.
Once I reached it, I felt I had come to this place after an age. I touch my study table; my bed and my curtain feel like they have been there for ages. I am seeing my room.
I look outside my favourite window and smile. My whole childhood come front of my eyes and this feeling is surreal.
My mother was running behind me and Sanya while we both were running in our matching short. We were laughing our heart out looking at our mother’s situation and seeing how our father was also enjoying this. My grandfather and grandmother were also enjoying the and our giggles were chirping in our manor.
My eyes filled with tears. Why is always girls have to leave her house and stay someone else’s house? I wonder who has made such rules.
It’s not like I am not happy being married, but the pain of leaving the parents and my house is something I can’t describe in words.
How I wish things could be different than this, but well, I know I can’t do anything about this.
Finally, I changed my dress and went down to spend some time with my mom and father.
I went down and noticed Clara and Lucy were sitting with Mom and Sanya.
“Oh, look, our queen is here.” Clara spoke, got up, and hugged me.
“Oh, come on, I am not queen or anything.” I said, pouting at her.
“She is right.” I hear Sanya’s voice.
“See, only Sanya is with me. You all are so bad.” I went to her and put my head on her shoulder.
“Oh, come on, I was teasing you, baby boo,” Clara said while taking her seat back.
I smile and looked at Lucy, and she also had the same board expression like a sister on her face. I guess she has been with Sanya too much these days. I roll my eyes, thinking about that.
And without wishing me well, she asked Mom, “So Aunty, what time do we have to leave tomorrow?”
