Actually, Leo also understood physiognomy, and of course, he examined Samuel’s face.
Samuel had the appearance of longevity, with a golden aura surrounding his life force. This golden aura was not nobility but a sign of accumulated virtue, only possessed by those who had done great deeds over a long period.
A person whose life force contained such virtuous aura could never be a great villain.
Leo smiled and said, “Samuel, to be honest, I know a bit about physiognomy too. I just took a look at your face.”
“Oh, I imagine your skills in physiognomy must be extraordinary. I’m curious about my fate. What did you see?” Samuel’s face was full of curiosity and anticipation.
“Samuel, you are a blessed person. Because you often do good deeds and accumulate virtue, your life will be long and your later years will be filled with more blessings than misfortunes.”
Hearing Leo’s conclusion, Samuel’s face lit up with joy. “That’s great! I knew that good deeds would be rewarded. If I can walk out of Heaven’s Origin Sect alive this time, I will continue to do good deeds and benefit more people with my abilities.”
“Samuel, I’ve decided to cooperate with you.”
Seeing Leo’s determination, Samuel still reminded him, “Leo, have you thought it through? This is very risky. If things go wrong, we might face retaliation from Heaven’s Origin Sect.”
Leo sneered, “I don’t take Heaven’s Origin Sect seriously. If they dare to retaliate, I’ll deal with them.”
“Good!” Samuel couldn’t help but praise him. “Just for that statement, I’ll join you! Heaven’s Origin Sect really thinks they’re the boss.”
Leo asked, “Samuel, you mentioned discovering a place? What place?”
Samuel chuckled, “A good place. Follow me.”
Under Samuel’s lead, the two quickly arrived at a cave entrance.
“This is where I’ve been staying since I entered the valley. Some guys tried to take it from me before, but I chased them away. My fists are as sharp as my physiognomy skills,” Samuel said proudly.
Leo smiled without speaking.
Samuel looked around. A few cultivators were scattered in the distance, seemingly observing them.
Samuel snorted and walked to the side. He lifted a large stone and shouted, “Up!”
With his strong arms, he lifted a man-sized stone from the ground.
“Leo, get into the cave quickly.” Although Samuel lifted the stone, his face turned red from the effort.
Without thinking much, Leo swiftly entered the cave.
Samuel turned and backed into the cave, then placed the stone down to block the entrance.
This scene fell into the eyes of the cultivators outside, who all showed strange expressions. They decided not to disturb them.
Inside the cave was pitch black. Leo released his spiritual sense, instantly seeing everything inside.
Seeing Samuel approaching, Leo asked in confusion, “Samuel, why block the entrance?”
“To make those outside misunderstand our relationship.”
Leo was stunned but then understood and couldn’t help but step back a few steps, his eyes wary.
Noticing Leo’s reaction, Samuel said irritably, “I told you, it’s just to make people misunderstand so we can act more freely. Do you really think I have such preferences?”
“I have two children, besides my main wife and three concubines,” he chuckled.
Leo felt somewhat relieved and asked, “What do we do next?”
“Of course, we cause some trouble! Heaven’s Origin Sect would never expect that I accidentally discovered their biggest secret.”
“What secret?” Leo grew more curious.
“Follow me and you’ll find out.” Samuel led the way inside.
Leo followed curiously.
After walking several dozen meters to the end of the cave where it was very damp, Samuel stopped and said, “It’s not blocked here; there’s an entrance I’ve concealed. Behind it is a tunnel system that extends throughout Yellow Dragon Mountain.”
Leo was slightly shocked.
Such a massive project couldn’t have been completed in a short time; it was definitely premeditated.
“Samuel, do you mean we enter from here and find the earth dragon before Heaven’s Origin Sect does?”
“Exactly. If possible, we’ll first obtain some earth dragon chi and then inform Pure Ones Sect to find a way to guide the earth dragon back to its place to avoid disaster. That way, everyone benefits. Let’s go!”
Samuel cleared away the debris blocking the entrance and entered first.
Leo followed closely behind.
After passing through the entrance, they entered a tunnel wide enough for two adults to walk side by side.
The tunnel was not dark; instead, it was very bright because lights were installed on the ceiling.
Samuel walked quickly ahead while Leo followed. After several twists and turns, they entered an underground room.
In one corner of the room was a cabinet with some tools on the floor.
Samuel went straight to the cabinet and opened it, taking out two sets of clothes.
Handing one set to Leo, Samuel explained, “These are uniforms for Heaven’s Origin Sect’s underground patrol disciples. We’ll disguise ourselves as members of Heaven’s Origin Sect.”
Leo took the uniform and smiled. “Samuel, it seems you were well prepared.”
“Of course. Heaven’s Origin Sect tricked us into being cannon fodder; we’ll show them what happens when cleverness backfires!”
After putting on their uniforms and grabbing some tools, they continued forward.
The underground room was a transit station with four tunnels leading in different directions. Samuel chose one and walked for about seven or eight minutes before encountering a fork.
Stopping at the fork, Samuel listened carefully before choosing a direction and continuing forward.
Before long, they reached about three levels underground.
Such a vast underground structure showed that Heaven’s Origin Sect had invested heavily for the earth dragon chi.
At this moment, Samuel suddenly stopped and signaled for silence.
Leo extended his spiritual sense and quickly discovered two people walking towards them from about dozens of meters away.
There was no place to hide in the tunnel; if they didn’t turn back, they would inevitably meet.
“Leo, don’t speak later. I’ll handle them. If necessary, we’ll take them out!” Samuel said in a low voice.
Leo nodded, and they continued forward.
Soon, they encountered two disciples of Heaven’s Origin Sect wearing cold expressions and holding swords.
Leo and Samuel intended to pass by them quietly but were suddenly stopped by one of them shouting, “Stop!”
