AZAR POV
I went to bed and started looking at her picture on my phone. I clicked this while she was sleeping like a baby.
Her one look made me smile. I don’t know how I will live without her for these 14 days. She is light in my darkness; she has become my addiction. I just want her around me all the time.
She is the first person I trusted after that woman left me all alone, crying. Thinking about her makes my blood boil.
Ara is different. She does not care about my money, status, or looks; maybe she cares about my looks. I know my proximity affects her; I know she likes me from the way her cheeks get red whenever I am close to her.
I want to eat them.
Our first kiss awakened all my desires, which I had buried somewhere deep inside my heart. And her innocent lips are not making my life easy, either.
I am the first man to have touched her. It is not like I am a caveman and I am against the relationship, as I have had my fair share of girls but nothing serious, but I don’t know this information about her, which made my heart feel flattered.
She is the purest soul I have ever seen in my life, and she is all mine.
Thinking about her, I closed my eyes, and sleep took over me.
**
After 10 days.
I was sitting in my office and finishing my work, as I had to leave in an hour for Stockholm.
There are four days left for the wedding; the day after, all the functions will start, and my red tomato is so busy shopping and all that she does not have time to talk to me.
After marriage, I will tie her to me so she does not go anywhere. I laugh at my thoughts. I guess this girl will make me crazy one day.
I shake my head and give a last check to the document before signing.
I was almost done when I heard the cheerful voice, and I knew who it belonged to. I did not look up to see and continue my work.
Aaz, baby, are you still working? Do you even remember that you have a wedding to attend, and for a change, that marriage is your own?
Hearing this, I said, “I know Mason. I am just done. Give me ten minutes, and we will leave.”
Yes, Mason is coming with me, and he will irritate me for the next 6 days.
“When will mom reaches Stockholm?” I Asked. Mason’s mom is Amenda, and I love her as my mom. She loves me like her elder son. She manages their school, which was opened by Mason’s family.
“Mom will reach tomorrow today. Kids have the last exam in school, so she will be there by 11, I guess.”
I nod in agreement, finish my work, and get up. “Come on, let us go.”
We left the office and went straight to the airport. My stuff had already arrived there.
We were about to board the plane when I got a call from Aunt Nina.
“Yes, Aunt Nina?” I asked.
“Azar, where are you? What time will you be here?”
I heard the panicked voice of Aunt Nina. I knitted my eyebrows and asked, “What happened to Aunt Nina?”
“Azar Sire fainted suddenly. We are taking him to the hospital. Please come as soon as possible.” She spoke all at once.
AZAR’S POV
“What happened to him was that he was all fine two hours ago.” I spoke to him, and he was sounding fine.
“I don’t know yet. You just come fast.” Saying that, she cut the phone.
Thinking something would happen to Grandfather filled my heart with panic, and I rushed inside to tell the pilot to take off as soon as possible.
Mason noticed a change in my demeanor and asked, “What happened, Aaz?”
“I don’t know if Mason’s grandfather fainted. They have taken him to the hospital.”
“Don’t worry, everything will be fine. Grandfather is a tiger, and nothing will happen to him.” He said this, holding my shoulder.
Mason is the one who has always stood by me. He is a strong pillar in my life.
I smiled a little, and we took a seat before the plane took off.
We reached Stockholm in an hour, and I went straight to the hospital. Grandfather’s bodyguard was there, and they guided us towards the ICU.
I reached her and noticed Aunt Nina and Ara’s father were talking to the doctor.
Aunt Nina noticed me coming towards her and hugging me, and she started crying. I hold nanny and look towards the doctor and ask, Doctor, what happened?”
He looked at me and said, “Mr. Oldenburg has glioblastoma multiforme, or we can say GBM is one brain tumor.”
“What?” I asked the doctor, as this new information surprised me to the core.
I looked at Aunt Nina to answer, but she looked equally shocked.
“Yes, we need to do his surgery as soon as possible. I have been telling him to do the surgery, but he told me he will do it after his grandson gets married, as surgery is a bit life-threatening, so he does not want to take any chances.” The doctor explained it to us.
I looked at my grandfather’s bodyguard, Jack, and his eyes told everything. He knew everything.
Before I asked anything, he came to me and bowed his head and said, “Sire, I cannot go against Senior Sire’s (elder) order.”
He is the most trusted person by Grandfather, and I know he will die, but he will never open his mouth and go against Grandfather.
Still, I gave him a deadly look, and he shivered visibly. I looked back at the doctor and asked, “How is he feeling now?”
“He is fine right now, and he will wake up anytime soon. But the tumor’s size is increasing fast, and we need to operate, if possible, today itself.” He, too, paused and said it again.
