Chapter 151: I’m Taking You Down

Breaking free from the grip holding him back, Josh lunged forward and grabbed Zoey by the neck. “Even if I go to hell, I’m taking you down with me!”
Zoey’s eyes rolled back as he tightened his grip around her throat.
The police officers swiftly intervened, rushing forward to separate the two and quickly arresting them both. They then escorted them to the waiting police car.
The sudden turn of events left Bianca momentarily stunned, standing in disbelief.
Meanwhile, Justin scanned the crowd, his voice turning stern. “I’ll be launching a thorough investigation into the internal affairs of Phoenix Entertainment. Anyone found prioritizing personal gain through unethical means will face serious consequences!”
Some employees felt restless among the onlookers. They couldn’t understand why Justin was suddenly taking such strong actions.
It became clear that Phoenix Entertainment was in serious need of reform.
After delivering his statement, Justin’s eyes settled on Bianca. “Bianca, come with me to my office.”
Pausing briefly, Bianca gathered her things and followed Justin to his office on the top floor.
“Please, take a seat,” Justin gestured towards the plush couch opposite his desk.
Bianca sat down, observing Justin’s composed attitude.
Leaning forward, Justin rested his hands on the desk, speaking gently. “Bianca, I’m fully aware of everything that’s happened recently. My lack of oversight allowed these unfortunate events to happen in the company. But with my return, such things won’t happen again. Therefore, there’s no need for you to resign.”
A slight smile appeared on Bianca’s face. “Mr. Wilson, I appreciate your commitment to justice and making sure those responsible face consequences. But I’ve already decided to leave. I’m sorry.”
Determined to pursue her dream of starting her own business, Bianca remained firm. She was focused on the future, aiming to achieve the success she deserved.
Moreover, dealing with office politics and petty conflicts had worn her out.
“Bianca, I believe strongly in your abilities, without a doubt. Now that Zoey is out, her position is open. I can promote you to fill her role,” Justin suggested, his voice tinged with concern. Bianca’s leaving would surely upset Dave and cause problems. He had to convince her to stay, no matter what!
Bianca blinked, surprised by Justin’s offer.
Justin had previously bent the rules to promote Bianca to an executive position, which had sparked jealousy and criticism from many. Now, with the huge possibility of her becoming the director, he anticipated facing even more cynicism.
Facing Justin, Bianca replied, “Mr. Wilson, I appreciate your kindness, but I can’t commit to staying.”
Justin was puzzled by Bianca’s decision to leave. He knew many people dreamed of working at Phoenix Entertainment but couldn’t get in. Despite the current issues, it remained a top company in the industry.
“Phoenix Entertainment is Edenfield’s largest entertainment firm. It’s the best place to showcase your talents. Where else are you considering? Which company is trying to lure you away with a high salary? Let me know, and I’ll match it, even double it.”
Justin was doing everything he could to convince Bianca to stay.
But Bianca was taken aback by Justin’s persistence. Her eyes widened, and she nervously bit her lip.
Trying to make Justin understand, Bianca said firmly, “Mr. Wilson, the truth is, I’ve been thinking about starting my own artist agency. It’s not about the salary you’re offering. I hope you’ll understand.”
“You want to start your own company?” Justin’s voice suddenly grew louder, surprising Bianca. He paused for a moment, then with a furrowed brow, he said, “Give me a moment. I need to make a call.”
Justin got up and left the office with his phone in hand. He dialed Dave’s number.
Justin carefully chose his words before speaking, “Dave, I’ve handled our company’s affairs, but there’s an issue with Bianca… She’s decided to start her own company and has declined to stay…”
There was a moment of silence on the line before Dave’s calm, deep voice responded, “Let her go ahead.”
“Dave, if she starts her own company, she could become a competitor.”
Dave replied calmly and thoughtfully, “Think of it like this: catfish are crucial for fostering smaller fish to thrive, just as they keep the market lively. If her company can operate under our influence while also energizing the market, it could benefit Phoenix Entertainment.”
“Dave, are you suggesting… that if Bianca actually establishes her company, we might consider investing in it?”
“First, let’s see if she can start her own company.”
After Dave ended the call, he couldn’t help but smile. Bianca always managed to surprise him. He knew she was smart, brave, and clever, but her ambition impressed him even more.
He looked forward to the day when she would be as successful as him.
Understanding Dave’s message, Justin returned to his office with a warm smile for Bianca. He said, “Bianca, if you’ve made up your mind to leave, I won’t stop you. Just remember to invite me to your company’s opening.”
Bianca found Justin’s sudden change strange. He had just taken a call and now he was accepting her resignation. Who had he been talking to?
Bianca left Phoenix Entertainment feeling uncertain about what lay ahead.
News of Zoey’s criminal activities and arrest quickly spread online throughout the day. The internet was abuzz with satisfaction over the news. Meanwhile, Bianca’s social media following grew, and people flooded her posts with supportive comments.
“Zoey used so many dirty tricks, but Bianca is unbeatable. She’s so strong.”
“I’m Team Bianca all the way now.”
“Bianca is going to be the best agent in the country soon.”
During this period, Natalie posted about her shock upon learning the truth about Zoey. Even though Natalie didn’t know about Zoey’s actions, she felt responsible as Zoey was her agent. Natalie wanted to apologize to Sophia and show she was willing to learn from her mistakes with humility.
Throughout this, Natalie maintained her dignity.
The comments that flooded the internet were supportive.
“Don’t be too hard on yourself, Natalie.”
“Natalie, you started your career later than most. Despite your achievements, there’s always room to improve. Let’s support each other through this journey.”
“Zoey was holding Natalie back. Just imagine if Bianca had been her agent.”
Later that evening, at the Scott’s house…
As Sheila scrolled through Twitter, reading all the praises for Bianca, her anger flared so much that her cheeks turned red.
She had been eagerly anticipating Zoey putting Bianca in her place, enjoying the idea of Bianca’s downfall.
But now, not only had Zoey failed against Bianca, but she had also been arrested, inadvertently boosting Bianca’s fame even more.
Sheila thought Zoey was completely worthless.
