Chapter 512: Betrayal

These people were the elite forces of Kendal and the six guest ministers.
They were all Outer Force experts, with many Inner Strength practitioners among them, capable of taking on ten men each.
Over a hundred men charged forward, their murderous intent enough to make anyone tremble.
Rose frowned deeply at the sight.
Flynn was right; Kendal and Maximo were going to tear each other apart today.
More than a hundred subordinates surrounded the entrance to the hall, making it impenetrable.
The room darkened significantly.
“It seems the second in command has put a lot of effort into this banquet!” Maximo showed no sign of panic. He looked at Kendal with a mocking smile.
Kendal took a sip of tea, then elegantly placed the cup on the table, saying proudly, “Since Mr. Goff has laid his cards on the table, I won’t hide mine either.”
“I heard that the Eight Extremities School has set up a branch in Tregaron State and is looking for a new leader.”
“Mr. Goff is a capable man and should expand the territory for the Eight Extremities School. I think you are very suitable for this role.”
“If you submit your resignation as the leader of the Niarak branch, we will support you in becoming the leader there.”
She crossed her legs confidently, exuding an air of control and arrogance.
“Oh? The second in command wants to send me away! I’m really scared,” Maximo laughed lightly.
Kendal replied calmly, “I just think Mr. Goff is very suitable for leading in Tregaron State.”
“What if I don’t want to go?” Maximo raised an eyebrow and smirked at Kendal.
Jada bluntly stated, “Mr. Goff, everyone in the Niarak branch is loyal to the second in command. You won’t have a foothold here.”
“Better go to Tregaron State. You can build your own team there. With the reputation of the Eight Extremities School, you’ll quickly establish yourself.”
Elijah dragged his machete across the floor, leaving a white mark as he slowly approached Maximo with an arrogant expression, as if he were invincible.
“What if I don’t want to go?” Maximo flicked ash from his pants and glanced sideways at Kendal.
Kendal frowned and leaned forward slightly, sneering, “Mr. Goff, can’t you see your situation?”
“The whole room is filled with my people: six guest ministers, two with advanced Inner Strength and four with intermediate Inner Strength.”
“There are also a hundred elite fighters and twenty armed subordinates.”
“You may be a Grandmaster, but against so many of us, you don’t stand a chance!”
Maximo remained calm and scoffed, “Does the second in command intend to kill me?”
“Mr. Goff has many enemies. If we make it look like they did it, outsiders won’t suspect anything,” Kendal said calmly.
Maximo laughed heartily and asked fiercely, “Second in command, I prefer peace over division.”
“Let me ask one more time: do you really want to do this?”
Kendal’s expression turned serious; she felt uneasy about Maximo’s calm demeanor.
Jada spoke contemptuously at this moment: “Supporting Kendal as branch leader is everyone’s wish. Mr. Goff should leave Niarak.”
“This way, we can still be friends.”
To her, Maximo was just pretending to be calm.
Facing so many experts and firearms would intimidate even a Great Grandmaster.
Maximo’s words were just to save face.
“Everyone’s wish? Hahaha… Jada, you’re really Kendal’s loyal dog!” Maximo laughed heartily at her words.
Elijah clenched his machete tightly behind Maximo, eager to kill him immediately for mocking his mother.
Everyone was stunned by Maximo’s arrogance despite being surrounded by so many experts.
As everyone looked puzzled,
Maximo suddenly stopped laughing. His eyes filled with killing intent as he slapped Elijah hard.
“Slap!”
The sound echoed through the room.
Elijah was sent flying and crashed heavily onto the floor nearby, blood oozing from his mouth and ears.
He tried several times to get up but failed each time.
Everyone was stunned by Maximo’s ruthlessness; he had given Elijah a concussion so severe he couldn’t stand up and might have caused brain hemorrhage affecting his central nervous system!
“You’ll pay for this!” Jada stood up furiously seeing her son severely injured.
Kendal also sat upright; her gaze sharp as lightning directed at Maximo with a face dark as storm clouds brewing rain.
Maximo snorted disdainfully as he sat back down leisurely: “Who are these ‘everyone’ you speak of?”
“The entire branch?”
“Fine then; since all guest ministers are here let’s vote.”
“If more than half support Kendal I’ll leave Niarak immediately.”
After saying this he scanned around before pouring himself some tea.
“I support Kendal!” Jada declared then turned towards other guest ministers only to see them all lowering their heads without any intention of speaking up some smoked silently while others drank water or played on their phones
“Everyone…” Kendal’s expression grew serious Kaiden was first one who awkwardly smiled: “Second-in-command I think Mr. Goff makes great branch leader why don’t you learn from him few more years?”
“If you assist him wholeheartedly once he joins main headquarters high ranks he’ll surely recommend you as branch leader.”
Jada was shocked hearing this quickly asking other guest ministers: “Do you all feel same way?”
Other four nodded without hesitation
Boom-
It felt like nine thunders struck Kendal she couldn’t believe her heavily paid guest ministers betrayed her!
Rose who had been watching events unfold was equally shocked by sudden turn of events
Six guest ministers were Kendal’s greatest support without them she stood no chance!
“Second-in-command spends millions annually on you gives company shares just so during critical moments like these you’d support her!”
“Isn’t what you’re doing too heartless?” Jada questioned in shock Kaiden smirked: “Precisely because we appreciate second-in-command’s favor when Mr. Goff approached us we made sure he promised leniency towards second-in-command after this matter.”
Other guest ministers chimed in:
“Good birds choose trees wisely we believe following Mr. Goff offers better prospects sorry second-in-command.”
“Don’t blame us blame Mr. Goff for offering too much.”
“As second-in-command said we’re businessmen need livelihood Mr. Goff offered triple price even if we didn’t agree our subordinates wouldn’t either!”
Their words changed hall’s atmosphere over eighty experts gathered behind Maximo leaving only dozen confused subordinates standing by Jada
Kendal was stunned never expected words said earlier to Rose would be used against her now
Maximo chuckled narrowing eyes at Kendal confidently asking:
“Now I demand Rose compensates thirty million dollars hands over Flynn do you have any objections?”
