Leo held the little girl’s hand as they walked towards his villa.
Upon entering the villa, he opened the refrigerator, only to find it empty. But this was no problem for Leo; delivery services could solve everything.
Just as Leo took out his phone to order food, the little girl finally spoke in a timid voice, “Big brother, do you have any instant noodles here?”
Instant noodles?
Leo was momentarily stunned, then began rummaging through the cabinets.
Surprisingly, there were indeed instant noodles-Master Kong Spicy Beef Noodles.
Thankfully, it wasn’t a knock-off brand.
He checked the production date; they were not expired.
Before long, a cup of instant noodles was ready. He handed it to the little girl.
Watching her devour the noodles ravenously, Leo’s expression grew serious. This indicated that the little girl hadn’t eaten for a long time.
If her family lived in this villa community, this situation shouldn’t have happened.
But if her family didn’t live here…
It was even more unlikely because this place was far from the city and at least five or six kilometers away from the nearest residential area.
Could the little girl have gotten lost?
Judging by her clothing, she didn’t seem to come from a poor family.
All things considered, she appeared to be a lost child from a wealthy family.
In today’s society, while not impossible, such a scenario was highly improbable.
Almost instinctively, Leo released his spiritual sense to focus on the little girl.
Under his spiritual sense, things invisible to the naked eye became apparent. A faint milky-white aura appeared at the top of her head.
This milky-white aura was life energy, also known as vital energy.
Everyone and every living thing had this aura above their heads. The stronger and healthier the person, the denser the aura; the weaker and frailer the person, the fainter the aura.
If someone had no aura at the top of their head, it meant they were dead.
The little girl’s vital energy was weak. Upon closer inspection with his spiritual sense, Leo discovered some golden-red energy within her weak vital energy.
It was this golden-red energy that stabilized her vital energy despite its weakness, preventing it from dissipating.
This golden-red energy was called rich air. Though sparse, it was strong enough to condense her vital energy.
Thus, even if she were physically weak, she could still grow up healthily.
Clearly, the little girl was no ordinary person.
This unusual aspect added a layer of mystery to her identity. Leo decided to ask her more questions after she finished eating.
Just as Leo was about to withdraw his spiritual sense, a layer of purple-gray aura suddenly appeared on the girl’s body. It vanished in an instant.
Leo abruptly stood up from the sofa, his eyes sharp as he looked at the little girl who was still eating her noodles.
That purple-gray aura was-demonic energy!
Damn it, there was demonic energy!
How could such a cute little girl have demonic energy? Could she be a demon!?
Leo intensified his spiritual sense, fully enveloping the little girl. Strangely, the demonic energy from earlier had completely disappeared.
Was it just his imagination?
The little girl seemed to sense something and stopped eating. She looked up at Leo with her beautiful eyes, which were incredibly disarming.
How could such an adorable and pretty little girl be a demon? It must have been his imagination, Leo thought to himself.
Besides, he had no interest in raising or training children. Once she finished eating, he would take her out to find her family. If he couldn’t find them, he could always hand her over to the police.
“Little sister, eat quickly before it gets cold,” Leo gently reminded her.
The girl lowered her head and continued eating. Before long, she had even finished drinking the soup.
She looked up again with an innocent expression that almost seemed to ask for another serving.
Leo patted her head and smiled. “Little one, instant noodles are unhealthy. You can’t eat too much at once. I’ll take you out for something better later.”
“Can you tell me your name and where you live now?”
The girl looked at Leo but said nothing.
Damn it, not this again!
Leo felt a surge of frustration and raised his voice, “Little one, staying silent is very impolite. If you want to find your mom, you need to tell me your name and where you live. Understand?”
The girl’s face suddenly showed sadness again, and tears welled up in her eyes as if she were about to cry.
Seriously? Crying again? Do I look like a bad guy?
Taking care of kids wasn’t easy at all.
“Little one, don’t cry. I’ll take you out to find your mom right now.”
The girl started crying loudly. “Mommy’s gone… Mommy’s gone…”
Gone? What did that mean…?
Once she started crying, she couldn’t stop. The girl cried so heartbreakingly that Leo felt terrible too.
At this point, Leo couldn’t ask her anything more. He picked her up and gently comforted her.
After a while, she finally stopped crying and fell asleep in his arms.
The girl had a big heart; she fell asleep in his arms just like that.
Leo carried her into the bedroom and laid her on the bed. He covered her with a blanket before leaving and closing the door behind him.
Back in the living room, Leo ordered some food delivery and turned on the TV to pass the time.
The delivery arrived quickly despite the remote location-within half an hour.
After eating, just as Leo was about to start his training, Maggie suddenly appeared.
“Master, there’s something outside watching you,” Maggie said cautiously.
Leo immediately stood up from the sofa and released his spiritual sense outward.
He quickly sensed what Maggie had mentioned.
It lingered outside the villa. As soon as Leo’s spiritual sense locked onto it, it sensed danger and fled eastward.
Daring to spy on him? No way he would let it escape. Leo used an Earth Concealment Technique.
The spy was a black fox heading towards a flower bed.
Just as it was about to leap into the flowers, it stopped abruptly because someone appeared in front of it-the very person it had been spying on.
Realizing things were going south, the black fox turned to run.
