After a few minutes, Gabriella’s eyelids were almost closed tightly. It was a very quiet night for her. No Max, no coercion. There was only Snowy and the soft bed underneath.
Unexpectedly, the door opened wide. The woman became conscious in an instant.
“Max?” she sighed before swallowing hard. Her eyes quivered to compensate for her sudden rapid heartbeat.
“You didn’t open the door for me on purpose, huh?” the man asked, carelessly taking off his shirt. The look in his sharp eyes and the roar of his breath made Gabriella more shrunken.
“I had no idea you were coming,” Gabriella replied with furrowed brows and bowed head. Her hand was holding Snowy tighter.
“So you fell asleep while your husband was waiting at the door?”
Gabriella’s lips trembled wordlessly. The courage she had cultivated earlier had withered, moreover, when Max slammed his trousers on the floor.
“You should have waited so I wouldn’t have to bang on the door!”
In an glance, the man had ambushed his wife. He was like a lion who hadn’t eaten for days and Gabriella’s lips were a delicious appetizer.
“Max! You don’t deserve to treat me like this!” The woman protested while she could. However, before she could take a breath, her throat was blocked again.
“Ugh, Max!”
The man began to devour his wife. He didn’t care if the woman grimaced and grabbed his hair. The swish in the veins had dulled common sense.
“Please, stop!” Gabriella asked as Max began to slip his hand into the restricted area. Her body shook with fear and panic.
Unfortunately, the man didn’t listen. He continued the action and forgot that it was the first moment his wife would remember.
“Didn’t you say you weren’t interested in me? Then, why are you doing this?” Gabriella sighed between moans. However, the husband still did not answer. The man was too busy preparing the main meal.
After a while, Max finally looked at his wife’s face which was wet with tears. Still in burning breath, he said, “You won’t feel any pain if your body is relaxed.”
“How can I relax when I am enslaved by my own husband?”
Max’s jaw instantly throbbed. “We’re already married. Isn’t it your duty to serve me?”
Suddenly, Gabriella spat in her husband’s face. The man spontaneously closed his eyes and gritted his teeth in anger.
“So, it’s true. You married me not out of responsibility. You just want to use me.”
Max met his wife’s gaze with red eyes.
“So you mind serving me?”
“I will never serve you!”
With a stiff motion, Max checked the still-filled glass on the table. His hands suddenly clenched tightly as his mouth let out a faint breath.
“Fine if you don’t want to,” he sighed before getting up and going into the bathroom.
Seeing her husband just leave, Gabriella sighed in relief. Quickly, she wiped the trail of tears from her cheeks.
“I can’t let incident like this keep repeating,” the woman thought before rushing up from the bed. Two minutes later, she had changed and was dragging her bag towards the door.
“I should have run away from the start. Why would I help that heartless man?”
Just as Gabriella opened the door, her husband’s driver was standing with his index finger almost touching the bell. The man smiled stiffly when he saw his master’s wife.
“Good evening, Mrs. Evans. I don’t mean to bother. But, Master’s cell phone was left in the car.”
After blinking stiffly, the woman accepted it from the man in the uniform. “Thank you, Sir,” she said flatly.
“My pleasure,” the driver nodded with his gaze fixed on Gabriella’s bag. “By the way, where are you going, Mrs. Evans? Aren’t you supposed to treat Master?”
Gabriella’s eyebrows shot up questioningly. “Treat?”
Spontaneous confusion colored the driver’s face. “Was my guess wrong?” he muttered, tilting his head.
“Is there something wrong, Sir?”
The driver was flabbergasted. “Nothing, Madam. Excuse me.”
“Wait! Please tell me what really happened, Sir,” Gabriella asked with a hopefull face.
After scratching his head and grimacing for a moment, the driver finally spoke up. “Earlier, when Master entered Miss Amber’s villa, he was asked to drink something. Apparently, it’s a stimulant. That’s why Master asked that you be brought here.”
The woman was silent for a moment. His flat look implied contemplation. “Max is on stimulants?”
“But that’s just my guess, Madam. Not necessarily correct.”
Gabriella’s heart suddenly filled with guilt. The hand that originally gripped the handle of the bag was starting to loosen. “Is that why he attacked me?”
After the driver left, Gabriella was standing still at the door. Her feet became hesitant to leave the room.
“Should I check it out? What if something happened to him?”
Thinking that her husband needed her, the woman finally stepped back and closed the door. After putting the bag in its original place, she crept towards the bathroom door.
“What is he doing inside?”
When Gabriella was about to put the ear, her eyes widened at the narrow slit in front of her face. The door didn’t close properly, giving her a chance to snoop.
“That woman is really rude. I’ve helped her deal with Amber. But, why doesn’t she want to help me fulfill my desire?”
Gabriella suddenly bit her lip holding back regret. “As it turns out, he really was given a stimulant drug?”
Suddenly, a long groan startled her. When she peeked again, Max had just tossed a bottle of soap on the floor. A second later, the man started slapping the water out of frustration.
“Why doesn’t the effect go away? What medicine did she give me?”
After grumbling, the man took a deep breath and submerged himself in the tub. He hoped it would help. However, his heartbeat was getting even crazier.
“Aaargh!” Max groaned as he came back to the surface. His passion had turned into anger. He could lose his mind if he tried to hold on any longer.
However, as soon as Max looked ahead, his annoyance automatically subsided. Gabriella’s sad face had tamed his madness.
“Why did you come here? Do you want to test the limits of my patience?” the man asked pretending to be fierce. In fact, his heart thrashed for warmth.
“Why didn’t you tell me you went to see Amber?” the slowly approaching woman replied. Hands that held the soap bottle seemed to tremble.
“Why would I tell you? Aren’t you just a fake wife?” sarcastically Max raised an eyebrow. As much as possible, he had to keep his face from looking hopeful.
Instead of retreating, Gabriella stepped forward. “Sorry. I don’t know you want to help me,” she said, handing him the soap bottle.
Unexpectedly, Max ignored his wife’s kindness. “I don’t need it,” he snarled.
The woman bit her lip to suppress fear. “Then how did you overcome the effects?” Gabriella asked in a low voice.
The man shrugged his shoulders. “I have no idea. My wife doesn’t want to serve me. Tsk, I should have just slept with that sly woman. There’s no need to expect my wife,” Max muttered trying to provoke Gabriella’s emotions.
Instead of feeling annoyed, the woman took off her shirt. The man immediately furrowed his brows at the strangeness in front of him.
“What are you doing?”
Gabriella gulped and shifted to the undergarments. “Doing duty as a wife,” she said flatly.
A second later, the man’s head were shaking for an explanation. “Are you drinking tea on the table?”
The woman shook her head. “No,” she answered without suspicion. Her logic had been diverted by the nervousness that tickled the stomach.
“Then, what made you change your mind? You feel indebted that I took care of that photo of yours?”
“You name it,” Gabriella said before going into the water. She didn’t realize that the man’s body had stiffened because of her presence.
“Are you serious? I don’t want to be accused of being a husband who forces will on his wife.”
“I’m not going to sue,” Gabriella said before looking down. She had never felt that embarrassed in her life.
“Do you realize that you just threw yourself into the lion’s den? Once I start, I’ll eat you to nothing.”
Hearing such a stern warning, Gabriella’s heart suddenly skipped a beat. She still wondered why her heart chose to surrender.
“Do as you please,” the woman said in a trembling voice.
Suddenly, she felt something touch her stomach, then moved up to head her precious balls.
“Are you sure? You can still get out now,” Max whispered intimidatingly. Then, he smiled lopsidedly at the woman’s face which was already reddened by his movement.
“Yes.”
Without wasting any more time, the hungry lion moved closer to its prey. Gabriella couldn’t help but hold her breath as the distance between them was gone. For the first time, she tried to enjoy the intimacy with her husband.
