Rage filled his eyes as he advanced upon me. I refused to be cornered again, so I chose my only option.
Run away.
I had made it down the hallway before I felt myself being yanked backwards. Soon I was thrown of his shoulder, and being carried down the hallway, near the exit.
Connor Michaels let me down ! I screeched, pounding my fists down onto his back. I let out a gasp when I felt his hand slid under my skirt, gripping my ass in order to hold me in place.
You weigh what, 110 pounds ? You can’t hurt me. Connor said, a hint of amusement in his tone.
Oh yeah ? Well Connor Michaels you have just unleashed the fury of-
What is going on here ?! I froze as I heard Principal Helen’s voice.
Bella was being a bitch, so I was going to teach her a lesson. Connor replied calmly, adjusting me so that I would stay on his shoulder.
Connor-
Helen, hun, you wouldn’t want me telling my father about how awful you are ? Would you ?
Silence.
Holy crap. So that’s his secret weapon- his father’s money.
Carry on. Principal Helen said. No one tried to stop him as Connor carried me out of the building. Without warning, I was dropped onto the ground, falling hard on my ass.
Get in. Connor ordered, opening the passenger door to his car. What a gentleman. -_____- I obediently slid in, closing the door behind me. Right as Connor hopping in, I put my plan into action. I flung open the door ans began sprinting.
Where ? You might ask.
School of course.
I ran past Principal Helen, glaring at her as I did so and to my locker, where I grabbed my book bag and hurriedly walking into AP Pysch, only 30 minutes late. Ignoring all the stares, I mumbled something about the nurse’s office to the teacher, collapsing at my desk afterwards.
I caught Jess’s eye as she stared at me with a pale face. Just as I mouthed ‘What ?’ in walked Connor. His hair was messed up and he had the faintest tint of pink to his cheek.
Then it hit me.
If Connor looks like that… what do I look like ? Which means… people think that-
NO ! I yelled, standing up. We didn’t. I fell back into my chair, blushing furiously. Whispers filled the room, but that was all blocked out by a laugh. It was hearty, full of amusement.
I turned around to glare at Connor who was sitting behind me. Unfortunately, I couldn’t help but crack a smile as he laughed. Yeah, yeah, bad, I know. But if you had been there… you would have laughed along too.
You will be mine. He mouthed, grinning at me. I let out a small laugh as the rest of the class watched us.
Good luck. I mouthed back, turning to face the front.
Maybe this won’t be so bad after all.
Oh Bella, if only you could predict the future.
