“Mr. Bloomer, whatever you need, I can prepare it. The reward is a villa. If you don’t want the villa, we can convert it to cash at the current market price,” Lucas said seriously.
A villa as a gift!
The eyes of the masters turned red with envy.
At this moment, they finally understood what it meant for the new wave to push the old wave onto the shore. This method of raising the stakes was truly impressive!
“Alright,” Leo replied calmly with just two words.
The masters nearly fainted. Who was it that said it wasn’t about the money? In the end, it was still about the money.
Seeing Leo agree, Lucas’s smile grew wider. “Thank you, Mr. Bloomer. If you have any other needs, just let me know, and I will make sure they are met.”
Leo pondered for a moment, then looked around at the surrounding masters.
The masters noticed Leo’s gaze and felt a sense of unease. Why was this young man looking at them like that? Was he planning to retaliate for their earlier mockery?
“Mr. Gray, my request is simple. In the process of eliminating the evil spirits, I need a few helpers. I want these masters to assist me,” Leo said with a sly smile.
Hearing this, Lucas was momentarily stunned. He glanced at Edgar and Priest Parker among the eight people, his expression turning serious.
As a shrewd businessman, Lucas had dealt with true masters before and could easily see through these people-they were just charlatans.
Edgar and the others knew that Lucas was not like Lana; deceiving him was impossible.
Now that Leo wanted them to accompany him in subduing demons, with their limited abilities, if anything went wrong…
Seeing the pitiful expressions on the faces of the eight masters, Leo suppressed his laughter and continued, “Mr. Gray, although these masters have limited abilities, they are still better than ordinary people for assisting me.”
Hearing this, the eight masters felt like vomiting blood. Was there any need to insult them like this?
The eight masters glared at Leo with eyes full of resentment but remained silent.
Lucas nodded and said loudly, “Gentlemen, Mr. Bloomer needs your assistance. Do you have any objections?”
“I…” an elderly man in a suit started to speak but was immediately silenced by a bodyguard who stepped forward with a menacing look.
“No objections,” the elderly man quickly corrected himself.
The other masters, seeing the situation, wisely kept their opinions to themselves.
“Very well. As long as you assist Mr. Bloomer in eliminating the evil spirits, I will reward each of you with $100, 000,” Lucas offered an incentive.
The eyes of the eight masters lit up at the mention of $100, 000.
Although $100, 000 was nothing compared to a villa, it was still a significant amount of money.
If it was just assisting, the risk should be low. They might as well take the money.
Seeing the smiles on their faces, Leo said playfully, “Hidden Dragon’s Den contains such powerful malevolent energy; there must be terrifying evil spirits present.”
“So you must cooperate fully with my actions; otherwise, I won’t be responsible for any life-threatening situations.”
“Of course, we will fully cooperate with Mr. Bloomer,” Priest Parker responded solemnly.
Although the eight masters felt nervous, they were also excited.
After decades of practice, they finally had a chance to put their skills to use.
If they could eliminate the evil spirits and spread the word about it later, fame and fortune would surely follow.
Leo turned to Lucas and said, “Mr. Gray, I now need a rectangular table, yellow paper, a wolf-hair brush, and cinnabar.”
“Lana, have these items delivered here immediately,” Lucas instructed Lana.
“Yes, Mr. Gray,” Lana nodded and quickly took out her phone to make a call.
Leo waved his hand to gather the eight masters around him and said, “Gentlemen, I will use a formation to deal with the evil spirits in the canyon. This formation requires your participation. I will now teach you the postures and incantations needed for the formation; you must remember them well.”
The eight masters nodded solemnly.
Leo began demonstrating eight different postures from the Mysterious Heaven Body Technique.
Each person learned one posture according to Leo’s instructions.
Next, he taught them the secret incantations-one line per person, totaling eight lines.
In less than half an hour, they had all learned what Leo required. Meanwhile, the rectangular table and other materials were delivered.
Leo began drawing talismans.
The eight masters watched in awe as he drew.
Although they could also draw talismans, without spiritual energy, their talismans were useless fakes.
Seeing Leo draw real talismans amazed them.
This young man had been hiding his true abilities all along.
After completing eight talismans, Leo had each person stand in a line and placed a talisman on their foreheads.
The scene looked eerie, like something out of a zombie movie.
Lucas and the others watched curiously from the side.
Leo quickly formed a hand seal and chanted an incantation in an obscure language.
As he chanted, a grayish-white glow appeared on the surface of the eight masters’ bodies as if something was trying to emerge from them.
This magical scene left Lucas and the others stunned.
Especially Lana-she almost screamed but managed to cover her mouth in time.
The eight masters closed their eyes tightly, showing expressions of pain and strain.
They wanted to move but found themselves unable to do so.
They were shocked by Leo’s magical abilities-this was the kind of mystical power they had always dreamed of mastering.
As Leo finished chanting the last syllable of the incantation, the eight masters suddenly felt they could move again. The feeling of pain and strain disappeared as they stepped forward.
From Lucas and the others’ perspective, grayish-white shadows appeared in front of each master.
The shadows looked exactly like the masters in size and appearance, like immature 3D holograms.
The real bodies of the masters remained standing in place with talismans on their foreheads and eyes closed.
“Let’s go to Hidden Dragon’s Den!” Leo called out as he led the way toward the canyon entrance.
The shadows of the eight masters exchanged glances and followed him.
After a few steps, one of them exclaimed, “My body!”
The others looked back and saw their real bodies still standing in place!
“Oh my god, this is an out-of-body experience!” The elderly man in a suit exclaimed.
This young man was indeed a true master.
