“Bring me a stick!” Patrick shouted.
The men behind him quickly fetched an iron rod. Patrick weighed it in his hand and then smashed it down hard.
“Ah-”
A piercing scream echoed!
The intense pain caused Pierce’s eyes to roll back.
He passed out!
Patrick remained expressionless and asked coldly, “Sir, do you have any other requests?”
Quentin squinted at Patrick, patted his shoulder, and said, “You have guts. You’re quite a character.”
“I keep my word. Since you’ve done what I asked, take them and get out!”
“And remember, if I see you harassing Riya and her family again, breaking a couple of legs won’t be enough. Even taking a couple of lives might not settle this.”
“Get out-”
“Yes!” Patrick took a deep breath, bowed, and then coldly ordered his men, “Carry this useless guy out of here. Don’t let him be an eyesore to the gentleman.”
He was a sensible man and knew that the other party was giving him a way out.
If he didn’t seize this chance, Quentin’s wrath next time would be like a storm!
He believed that Quentin had the capability.
The group quickly retreated.
Riya and her daughter peeked out from inside, breathing a sigh of relief.
Quentin smiled and said, “Riya, don’t worry. It’s all over now.”
“In the future, even if they had ten times the courage, they wouldn’t dare come back.”
Meanwhile, in the elevator, Patrick emerged with a sullen face, followed by his men.
He glanced at them coldly and said, “Today’s events are not to be mentioned outside. Otherwise, you’ll all suffer.”
“Understood?!”
He could kneel, but this matter couldn’t be spread around. After all, he represented a company. If word got out about this incident, not only would he become a laughingstock, but the entire TF Security Company would also be looked down upon.
In his position, he might be called a general manager, but in less flattering terms, he was just a dog sent by headquarters.
As a dog, how could he disgrace his master’s reputation? If this got out, everything he had worked hard for would be ruined!
Sensing the coldness in his eyes, the men nodded. “Mr. Blake, who was that guy? You…”
“Don’t ask what you shouldn’t,” Patrick said coldly. “Our Mr. Wilson from Stresall personally called to warn me. I’ve offended someone important. You should know what kind of person Mr. Wilson is.”
Patrick sighed and said icily, “Someone even Mr. Wilson has to look up to-how could someone like me provoke such a person?”
“As for that useless guy, he’s still my brother-in-law. I had to save him. I accept the kneeling.”
“If I hadn’t struck with that rod earlier, do you think we could have left there?”
“That person isn’t just extraordinary in status; he’s also terrifyingly skilled. If I acted, Pierce might still survive. But if he acted… I might really be collecting Pierce’s body!”
Hearing Patrick’s words, the others nodded. Although they weren’t at the center of the storm earlier, they could feel the oppressive atmosphere at the scene.
“Take him to the hospital!”
Patrick glanced at the unconscious Pierce and ordered coldly, “When he wakes up, tell him that if he dares to bother them again, I’ll kill him myself!”
With that, Patrick got into the car first.
After handling the situation, Quentin was about to leave when Riya said, “Quentin, come in for some water before you go. You’ve really helped us out.”
“Riya, you’re too kind.” Unable to refuse her hospitality, Quentin entered the house.
Thinking about the intimate moments they had shared in this house before, Quentin felt an inexplicable awkwardness and unease.
Riya didn’t think much of it. She made a pot of tea for Quentin and brought it to the table. Sitting down gracefully, she said, “This tea is one of my favorites. I hope it suits your taste.”
“I’m not picky.”
Quentin smiled and said, “For those who love tea, enjoying it is a refined pleasure.”
“Unfortunately, I’m just an ordinary person who drinks tea to quench my thirst.”
Hearing Quentin’s words, Riya chuckled. “If you consider yourself an ordinary person, then there’s no one in this world who isn’t ordinary.”
Perhaps only Quentin himself had the right to say such things about himself.
