Gabriella’s POV
We returned to the Black Moon Pack and my father welcomed us with a party saying, “We finally conquered the enemy.”
“Yes, and it’s all thanks to the great Luna,” Nate said with a wink and I smiled at him.
The party was going on and everyone was really happy except for me. I kept my promise but why am I not happy? Why don’t I feel fulfilled about it as well? There is something wrong with what I have done. Who was the man really? Did I kill the wrong man? Why did that little girl call me mother? I lost my child or could it be that my sister had a child for him and he is mistaking me for her?
No, I shouldn’t be thinking about all these, I shouldn’t at all, Nate told me he would want to mess with my head with so many lies and this is part of it, I will not fall a victim.
I will find a reason to be happy about the whole thing.
I saw Silvia sneaking out and I called her, “Hey Silvia.” She stopped immediately and let out a smile.
“Luna Gabby, I thought you would be inside enjoying the party.” She bowed to show respect.
“I don’t feel like partying, I am okay here enjoying the fresh breeze and please stop with the formalities,” I said to her and she stood up.
“Thank you so much, I will take my leave now.” She said to me.
“Why are you in haste? Are we not on good terms?” I questioned and she nodded, “Yes we are, I dare not be on your bad side.”
“Come on Silvia, that’s not what I mean, I meant to say if our friendship had issues before I lost my memories,” I added.
“No, not at all, we never had any issues.”
“Then I need your help,” I said having the puppy look.
“My help? I don’t understand, why would you need my help, I am just a nobody here, I could get Alpha Nate if you like to request help directly from him ” She said as if she didn’t like talking to me. I doubt if we are friends, I have a feeling if I were friends with her, she would have been closer than this but look at her, she is in a hurry to leave.
“No, I don’t want to disturb him, he is probably enjoying the party, if you can’t help, just tell me and I will never disturb you.”
“Okay, I am all ears, what help do you need?” she smiled at me.
“Nate told me I could do some witchy spells, can you help me by sparing some of your time to teach me?” I asked hoping she didn’t refuse to help me.
“Okay Luna, I will create time to teach you some spells, how about that?” She said.
“Yes!!! Perfect and perfect, thank you so much.” She finally took her leave and still, my countenance remained sad. What can I do to take my mind off these memories that are hunting me?
“There you are, my love.” I heard Nate’s voice, he hugged me from behind and started kissing me all over, I really hated everything he was doing to me but I really had no choice but to act like I was all cool with it till I came up with an excuse,” I need to use the bathroom now.”
“Sure no problem, let me know if you need me.”
“I will do that.” I was able to escape from him.
Night after night, I kept having strange dreams about the man I daggered and brought doom to his pack, I really didn’t understand anything that was going on and checking around the pack, the only person I could confide in was Nate.
“Why are you not eating? Is something bothering you?”
“It’s about the Alpha I daggered, do you think I once dated him and had a child for him?”
He stood up angrily saying, “Did you cheat on me without my knowing before you lost your memory?”
“I will never cheat on you even if I had no memory of what happened in the past.”
“Then why are you disturbed over him? Forget him and every other thing, I once told you he would just manipulate your head, he is evil.”
“Why don’t I feel it? Something tells me he might be innocent and the evil person might be someone else.”
“Gabby, enough of these topics, all I want from you now is to focus on our wedding happening soon, and drive away every negative vibe, I have so much to do now.” He said before taking his leave and I was short of words and things to do but the memory kept hunting me.
What am I not remembering about my past?
“Leah, do you remember anything about our past?”
“No I don’t but I wish I do, we won’t be confused.”
“What if I killed an innocent person?”
“Let’s just hope we get our memories back, we should keep trying things you love doing in the past and visit places that might help,” Leah suggested.
“I have done all that and still not is even coming to place, I feel so confused and I am beginning to doubt Nate.” I took a deep breath and scattered my hair out of confusion.
