Book:Pregnant After Rejected By Alpha Published:2024-7-16

Gabriella’s POV
She destroyed everything her hands came in contact with, and for a minute, I was frozen, unsure of what to do to help my child.
“Estella! Estella!” I kept calling my daughter, but it seemed as if she was not aware of what was taking place right now. If I don’t do something now, she might engage in actions that are beyond imagination. So, I decided to carry out a spell to calm her down, “En gla tux cux ga.” I said, using my palm to touch her head, but it didn’t calm her down at all. What do I do now? I tried again and ended up vomiting blood.
“Stop doing it,” Leah said to me.
“This has never happened before,” I told Leah.
“I don’t know what is happening to Estella, but I suggest you tell your mate now or Margaret. We need to come up with a solution to help her,” Leah suggested. I considered telling my mate; he is a werewolf and might have encountered something like this before. I just hope I can find a solution immediately. I also need to keep this hidden from others so they won’t be scared for my sweet daughter.
I dashed out of my daughter’s room and encountered Nick, “Why are you coming home so late?”
“I had something to attend to. Why do you look like you’ve seen a ghost?”
“Come with me, Estella needs help,” I said. My daughter’s condition took priority over any other concerns.
“What do you mean?” He questioned me.
“Come see for yourself.” I had no time to start explaining things to him, so I dragged him along with me to Estella’s room.
“Estella is sound asleep, as we can see. So, what exactly did you mean by what you said earlier?” he inquired. To my surprise, Estella appeared completely normal now. She was not the same as when I had left her moments ago. I couldn’t even respond to Nick’s question because I got lost in thoughts about what had happened.
“Gabby, what’s on your mind? If something’s bothering you, please share it with me. Sharing your burdens lightens the load. Talk to me; what’s eating you up, my love?” he asked, his hands gently comforting me as he caressed me slowly.
“Have you ever witnessed anything strange happening to a member of your pack?” I inquired, hoping he might provide insight into this mysterious situation.
“Strange in what way? Could you put it in simpler terms?”
“I mean, like someone being asleep but not conscious of their surroundings?”
“Are you talking about sleepwalking or talking in one’s sleep?”
“No, not that. Let me explain differently. I saw our daughter with dark eyes, fangs, and claws. She even pushed me the other day, and it wasn’t a normal push from a child. I fell to the ground. Do you understand now?”
“Are you suggesting that a different persona takes over Estella when she’s asleep and engages in harmful activities?”
“Yes, that’s what I’ve been trying to convey. Look at the destruction around her,” I offered evidence, observing how Nick examined our daughter and the wreckage.
“So, you’re telling me Estella did this? But how? She’s not even 16 yet to possess that level of strength.”
“Exactly what I’m saying. So, tell me, do you have any solutions?” I asked, attempting to read his eyes and the expression on his face to find the answer I needed from him. However, he was difficult to decipher.
I watched as he took about eight steps from where we stood directly to Estella’s bed. He sat close to her, checking her body temperature with his hands. He also tried to open her eyes to see for himself. After thoroughly examining her and caressing her hair, he stood up and I approached him, hoping for a solution to emerge from his words. Instead, he said to me, “Estella looks perfectly okay. I don’t understand, and I’m not accusing you of lying. If something like that happens again, call me immediately. I’ll know what to do.”
“Okay, I’ll do that,” I replied. In any case, that seemed to be the only solution for now. Just hearing it wasn’t enough; seeing the situation unfold was the best way to determine a solution.
“Let’s allow our little pumpkin to enjoy her sleep. You also need rest; look at your eyes, love. You might pass out any minute now,” he said, urging me to take care of myself.
We exited the room together, heading to our own room. We were ready for sleep, but before I drank the herb tonic given to me by Margaret, I decided to ask Nick about what had been happening to him lately.
“Let’s sleep,” he said, caressing my body and trying to pull me closer to his chest so I could rest on it. However, I refused. “Why are you refusing? You never turn down love. Did I do something wrong?” He asked, kissing my exposed shoulders and then my neck.
“Please stop it. I’m not in the mood.”
“I guess you must really be upset with me. Okay, I’m sorry if I unknowingly did something wrong. Forgive me, my love, so I can have peace of mind.” He pleaded. I wondered why he was so sweet that I could never stay angry with him.
“What’s been happening to you lately? I hardly get to spend time with you. Are you avoiding me?”
“Never. I’ll never avoid you, no matter what. Please, my love, don’t think of me that way. I genuinely love you and never want to hurt you.” I gazed deeply into his charming eyes, and he won me over with a genuine smile. My lips curved into a smile, and my cheeks turned red in the process.
