Book:Pregnant After Rejected By Alpha Published:2024-7-16

Gabriella’s POV
I returned to my room, nervous and laid on my bed, holding my pillow dear to my heart. I almost said yes to him just now. When he said, “I have been searching for you,” I almost couldn’t control my emotions. My 4 years of fortitude almost fell short in front of him. Four years ago, my tears were gone. Thinking of his pair of blue eyes, filled with deep affection, it can enchant people’s hearts. I hope by tomorrow, he will be gone already.
“What if you give him a chance as a friend? Maybe he has spent those years looking for you and has been living in regrets,” Leah said to me.
“But can I really forget the past so easily?”
“Then why was your heart racing while speaking with him?”
“You know what Leah, goodnight. You are not helping matters at all.” I silenced her immediately and tried to sleep, but sleep was not forthcoming.
I hate this. Why am I having a sleepless night? I looked through the window; it’s a full moon and it looked so beautiful tonight, I must say. I wish to live a simple and happy life, a life free from pains and struggles. I returned to my bed so I won’t catch a cold and I finally fell asleep.
Waking up the next morning, I noticed how happy everyone was. Then I checked on my daughter; she was playing as usual and I was told she had already eaten breakfast. I guess I overslept to have missed breakfast time with my daughter. I ate alone and stepped out for some chores. I don’t think I will be training today.
“OMG, they are so cute, mostly the ones drawing water from the well for us.”
“I wish to be his lover.” What is going on and who are they talking about? Did I miss anything?
I walked to the reservoir and saw Alpha Nicklaus with no shirt on, fetching water from the reservoir for the ladies. He is indeed a flirt. I should have known he is not just heartless but a playboy. So he is here to make me know I mean nothing to him? How dare he make me think so stupid?
“Gabby!” he called my name as soon as he saw me. I turned around to leave. Why is he still here? I thought by now he would be out of this tribe for good.
“Gabby, good morning.” He stood in front of me, smiling at me.
“Tell me, what exactly is good about the morning? Are you done impressing the ladies?”
“Why? Are you jealous?”
“What? Jealous of you? In your wildest dreams. Why are you still here?”
He smiled and moved closer to me. “I am allowed to live in the Witches Tribe with you.”
“That can’t be possible.” I turned around and marched to meet Margret.
“Good Morning Gabby, are you having fun this morning?”
“Margret, why did you give him an opportunity to live in the Witch Tribe?”
“Oh, you mean Alpha Nicklaus? Well, I can’t chase him out since he is not here for war. It shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
“It’s going to be a problem because I can’t bring myself to live in the same place with someone who can easily be shirtless and fetching water to seduce the girls here,” I yelled.
“Why are you getting so worked up? He did good by helping the ladies. Are you angry with him living here, or are you angry that he is shirtless while helping ladies?” She questioned me, and I became dumb, not knowing what response to give her.
“I have some cleaning to do. I don’t care if he decides to live here, but if he crosses paths with me, I am going to end him with my spells.” I turned around immediately.
What the hell is wrong with me? I shouldn’t be getting all worked up because of him. It’s absolutely not my business if he is out there helping and seducing the ladies. I have no time for him anymore. Besides, I was just voicing out so the ladies would not end up like me.
I remembered the reason I started living again: it was because of my daughter. The reason I was in such pain after rejection was the Alpha, so I won’t let him get to me easily.
I decided to help the ladies with the dishes. That’s the only way I can be far from seeing Alpha Nicklaus.
“It’s okay, I insist on doing it.”
“But.”
“No, but okay, I just want to be busy with something, okay? Just go out and have fun.” I faked my smile, and they left.
I looked at the dirty plates. I believe I can while away time with this.
I started washing the dishes. Then the door to the kitchen opened, revealing Alpha Nicklaus. I acted like I couldn’t see him and focused on what I was doing.
“Oh, you are here. I don’t think you can handle these yourself. Let me give you a helping hand,” he said, joining me, and I was getting pissed.
“I don’t need you to help me. I am fine all by myself.”
“Just let me assist you, and that’s all.”
“What are you trying to do, Alpha Nicklaus? Do you think doing little chores with me will make you think I’ll accept you in my life?”
“I just want to assist you and nothing more,” he said again, and I guess I am overreacting.
I allowed him to join me, but I kept mute, not saying anything while washing the dishes.
Our eyes locked together every time I tried to look at him. I felt so uncomfortable with his presence.
We spent a few minutes washing the plates, and I left immediately after that.
What am I going to do to be far from him? Then I thought about the library that is filled with dust. I can clean it to make it look more sparkling and comfortable for reading.
I took my cleaning supplies, and looking behind me, I saw Alpha Nicklaus also cleaning.
“Are you following me around?”
“No, I am not. I guess it’s just fate we met here again.”
“Stop it. I don’t like it,” I shouted at him.
“I am not. Margret asked me to clean the library, saying it’s dusty, and I gladly accepted. Then, seeing you here cleaning, I know it’s fate.”
I think I am going to explode at this stage I am in. What the hell is wrong with him? Damn it.
