Alpha Ricardo’s POV
”Mia!” My Wolf howled loudly in my head, which forced the glass in my hand to drop on the floor. ”What is it?” I asked Eric as I felt an uncomfortable feeling bloomed in my chest. ”Mia in trouble, go Rick, go ”Eric yelled and pushed me forward to the door. ”What is going on?” I asked confused as a sudden and strange fear envelope my entire body. ”Go find Mia, Rick, go.” My wolf yelled and without a second thought, I picked up a shirt from the bed and rushed downstairs.
”Where is Mia?” I asked aunt Cara, whom I met on my way. ”She had just left with her parents.” Aunt Cara responded with startled eyes, ”Is everything okay?” She asked, but I ignored her and dashed out of the sitting room.
Hurriedly, I went for my car, opened it and started the car. ”Father!” I made a mind link to dad but got no response. ”No, no, no.” I yelled in fear and made another mind link. ”Father, can you hear me.”? I asked in panic as I drove off in no particular direction in my mind. ”Shit!” I yelled and slammed the steering of the car.
”Son…” Dad’s faint voice whispered, which made a cold shiver run down my spine. ”Where are you dad, what is going on?” I asked in fear as I increased the speed of the car. ”I love you son, I love you so…” ”Dad!, Dad!” I yelled when I realized the mind link as being cut off. ”No!” I yelled and increased my speed to no particular direction. Just when I was about to take a u turn, I noticed an ambulance was parked at the other side of the road. ”Mate!” my wolf howled loudly in my head. ”No.” I whispered in fear and drove towards the ambulance, Only for my heart to skip, and my body became numb when I spotted Dad’s Range Rover whirled upside down in the middle of the road.” No.” I shook my head in fear and parked my car.
With panic and fear, I rushed out of the car and ran to the car while a police officer tried to stop me but stopped when he recognized me. ”Rick…” He tried speaking, but I pushed him away and jumped past the barricade tape that sealed the accident spot. ”Dad !” I yelled and rushed to the car as I saw dad’s body put on a stretcher. ”Dad!” I yelled, and followed the stretcher. ”Calm down, we are taking him to the hospital. ”One of the medics assured me as they put dad inside the ambulance. Just when I was trying to process what was going on, I saw two stretchers coming my way. ”Mate!” My wolf whimpered in pain while I just stood there numb as I stared at the two stretchers coming my way.
They got to the ambulance, put them in the ambulance and closed it right before me. ”We are taking them to the hospital.” One of the medics announced to me while I just stood there numb and speechless. I stood there, numb, as I watched the ambulance drive off. I was panting heavily, and my legs became so weak that they could no longer hold my body. ”Let’s go to the hospital.” One of the officers held my arms and directed me to his car. I got in and he drove off to the hospital.
My mind was blank, and my body was numb. I couldn’t tell or explain how I felt. For the past four years, I had wished them nothing but death, but right now, I can’t tell what I feel. ”Mia!” My wolf whimpered distressed in my head, which made me groan and shut myself away from him, so he wouldn’t communicate with me.
”Nothing will happen to them.” The officer assured me, and deep down I wished he was right. ”Ricardo.” I heard Jayson’s voice in my head. ”Help me Jayson, please help me.” I mumbled with fear. ”Where are you, I’m coming.” ”On our way to the hospital, please Jayson, I need you.” I mumbled in tears. ”I’m on my way.” He assured me and ended the mind Link.
”We are here.” The moment I heard those words from the officer, I opened the car and hopped out of it. With panting breath, I hurried into the hospital and stopped a doctor I met on the way. ”My father, where is he.” I asked in fear. ”Calm down Ricardo, he is in the emergency room.” He assured me. ”Goddess!” I yelled in fear and sucked a deep breath to calm myself. ”Take it easy, the doctors in there are doing their best.”he assured me and walked away.
With panting breath, I collapsed on the seat and roughly ran my fingers through my hair. I was panicking and scared, and it took everything in me to keep my powers from unleashing. Nervously, I stood to my feet and wandered around the hospital, murmuring words of encouragement to myself. ”Take a deep breath, Rick.” I whispered those words of comfort to myself as I kept wandering around.
”Rick!” I heard Jayson’s voice from behind, which made me turn around and fell on his shoulders. ”I’m scared, Jayson, I’m scared.” I mumbled in tears while I sank in his arms. ”Stay strong, you are not supposed to show weakness.” Jayson whispered to me, and indeed he was right. As a potential alpha, it’s not allowed for me to show any sign of weakness to members of the pack.
His words made me suck a deep breath and composed myself before leaving his shoulders. ”Take a grip of yourself.”he tapped my shoulders and looked away.
Lazily, I closed my eyes and all I could see were those beautiful sets of innocent sea-blue eyes staring right into my soul. Every day of my life, I wish she could disappear from my life. I wished she had never existed, but right at this very moment I feared losing her.
”Ricardo.” Jayson’s words forced my eyes. I noticed a doctor walking our way with a blank expression on his face, which caused a cold shiver to run down my spine. Hurriedly, I scrambled and stood before him with panting breath. ”How is my father, how is Mia and how is…” I paused and gulped in fear.
The doctor heaved a heavy sigh and shook his head before speaking, ”I’m so sorry Ricardo, we lost your father and his wife, only the young lady miraculously survived it, and she is still in a coma.” Those words from him made my head spin around.
”You…are… Lying!” I yelled and grabbed his collar. ”Tell me this is a joke!” I yelled. ”Take a grip of yourself.” Jayson warned me and took my grip away from the doctor. ”No!” I yelled and noticed the ground shook. ” Control yourself.” Jayson warned me. ”No.” I cried out and rushed to the emergency room. I got into the room and saw dad laid on the bed with a cloth covering his face. ”No, he is not dead.” I yelled and yanked away the cloth from his face. My heart ached with pain the moment I saw dad lying lifeless on the bed. ”No, father, please come back.” I pleaded and fell on his body.
”Take a grip of yourself.” Jayson pleaded, but I ignored him and buried my face on dad’s body. ”Please dad, I beg of you, come back to me.” I pleaded in tears. ”Please come back, I know I hated you, I know I’m angry at you, but I didn’t mean it when I said I wanted you to disappear.” I yelled in tears and shook his body.
”We are so sorry, Ricardo.” The doctor announced as he stood beside me. ”We tried our best but could only save your sister…” I did not let him finish talking before cutting off. ”She is not my sister.” I yelled and stood to my feet. ”Why must she be the one to make it alive and not dad?” I yelled with gritted teeth. Ever since She came into my life, my life has been hell. ”Don’t say that man, she is…” Jayson tried speaking, but I cut him off. ”She should pray to the goddess that she doesn’t wake up from that coma because if she does, I’ll cause her so much pain and torture that she would wish she never woke up.” I yelled and clenched my both fist.
She was the product of dad’s betrayal to mom, and I will make sure she wishes she had never been born into this world.
