Chapter 1325: Dragon Well Locks

Before liberation, the place called Submerged Dragon Park was known as White Dragon Pond. After liberation, it was renamed Submerged Dragon Park.
Over a decade ago, a park was built there, named Submerged Dragon Park.
The most famous attraction in Submerged Dragon Park is called Dragon Well Locks. Legend has it that a dark iron chain locks an evil dragon inside.
“Hey handsome, have you heard the legend of Dragon Well Locks?” the taxi driver turned and asked.
Leo shook his head. “No.”
“If you’re going to Submerged Dragon Park and don’t know the legend of Dragon Well Locks, it’s like you didn’t come at all.”
The taxi driver was quite talkative. Seeing Leo staring straight ahead, he began to tell the legend of Dragon Well Locks on his own.
A long time ago, there was a sea eye in Langstel’s Tianyue Lake, where a dragon lived, occupying Langstel City for many years.
As Langstel City grew more prosperous and populous, the old dragon living peacefully in the sea eye became restless.
It came up with a wicked idea to flood Langstel and drown everyone so it could continue to occupy the city.
With this malicious intent, under the dragon’s control, the sea eye began to overflow.
The floodwaters submerged the duke’s palace, so the duke sought out Lawrence. Lawrence naturally deduced that it was the old dragon in the sea eye causing trouble and sent Yale to deal with it.
Yale received the order and immediately went to capture the dragon.
The old dragon was no match for Yale and fled everywhere, eventually reaching the eye of White Dragon Pond where it could run no further.
The old dragon pleaded with Yale, saying it was only retaliating because the duke had built the city over its home.
Yale had no intention of sparing it and still wanted to capture it.
Finally, the old dragon said, “You can capture me, but Lawrence himself must come!”
Yale paid no heed to this, revealed his Arhat Golden Body, and fought with the old dragon.
The old dragon fled into the pond’s eye, and Yale pursued it inside.
Beneath the pond’s eye was a waterway that grew wider as they went.
Seeing that the old dragon was about to escape, Yale threw his belt.
The belt transformed into a long chain that locked around the dragon’s neck.
Yale dragged the old dragon back to the surface and locked it in a well nearby.
The well was very deep and had no railing. The dragon was secured, but where should the other end of the chain be fastened?
Yale looked around but couldn’t find a place. He remembered his treasured sword, drew it out, and thrust it into the well.
The sword immediately transformed into an iron pillar standing upright in the well, with the chain locked onto it.
Yale then built a bridge beside the well, covering the pond’s eye.
The old dragon naturally didn’t want to be locked there forever and asked Yale when it could be released.
Yale thought for a moment and said, “When the bridge becomes old, you can go free!”
The old dragon thought it wouldn’t take long for the bridge to age and agreed.
Unexpectedly, Yale named the bridge Evernew Bridge, so it never aged.
The old dragon could never escape and couldn’t cause floods anymore.
As the taxi driver finished his story, they arrived at Submerged Dragon Park.
It was nearing midnight. Since Submerged Dragon Park was near the outskirts of the city and it was late at night, the surroundings appeared desolate.
“Handsome, Submerged Dragon Park closes at six in the evening. You can’t get in now. Even if you climb over the fence, it’s pitch dark inside and you won’t see anything,” the taxi driver kindly reminded him.
Leo didn’t bother responding. After paying the fare, he walked toward the park’s main gate.
The dim streetlights cast long shadows of Leo as he walked away. Watching his passenger disappear into the distance, the taxi driver turned around and muttered to himself, “What a strange person.”
Standing before the closed gate of Submerged Dragon Park, Leo’s lips curled into a smile. His body suddenly became translucent and then vanished.
Using an Earth Concealment Technique, Leo entered the park.
The park wasn’t completely dark; some streetlights were still lit here and there.
Not far from the park gate on the right-hand side, Leo found a park map standing on the lawn.
On the map, Leo located Dragon Well Locks and followed the signs without hesitation.
Seven or eight minutes later, Leo reached his destination: a small stone bridge appeared before him.
Approaching closer, Leo saw a stone tablet beside the bridge with three bold characters engraved on it: Evernew Bridge.
As for Dragon Well Locks, it was directly beneath Evernew Bridge’s arch.
Surrounding Dragon Well Locks were six stone pillars. The well’s mouth was hexagonal.
The well mouth was sealed with a hexagonal bronze lid. The lid depicted a lifelike dragon.
Around the edge of the well mouth were three characters-Dragon Well Locks!
Standing by the well and looking at the sealed bronze lid, Leo squinted his eyes.
“Interesting, someone actually placed a seal here.” Under his spiritual sense, everything around Dragon Well Locks became clear to Leo.
Using six stone pillars as formation bases and embedding specific formation symbols created a small Hexagram Array.
With Leo’s current cultivation level, breaking this Hexagram Array was a piece of cake.
Like performing magic, Leo flipped his right hand and a talisman appeared in his palm.
Channeling his internal spiritual power, he activated and cast the talisman directly from his hand.
Unlike before, this talisman did not burn but transformed into a faint golden light in Leo’s hand.
The faint golden light split into two. With his index and middle fingers forming sword fingers on both hands, Leo concentrated the golden light at his fingertips and touched each of his eyes lightly.
Leo’s originally black pupils gained a layer of faint gold but quickly dimmed back to normal.
This technique was called Opening Spirit Eyes.
Through Opening Spirit Eyes, one could see the weakest point of a formation.
Breaking through this weak point would yield twice the result with half the effort. However, Opening Spirit Eyes had a time limit and could only last for three minutes.
With a quick glance, Leo found the weakest point of this Hexagram Array-the third stone pillar on the right side.
Just as Leo was about to destroy this stone pillar, a cold gleam flashed in the night followed by a “thud.” The stone pillar broke in half and its upper part fell to the ground.
Leo turned his head to see someone in black tight-fitting clothes standing three meters away on his right side.
Under the dim moonlight, Leo focused his gaze and couldn’t believe his eyes.
It was a woman he recognized-Arlene Dan, daughter of antique tycoon Godfery Dan!
Leo approached her and called out, “Arlene Dan!”
“Stop!” The woman turned and glared at him with a warning look in her eyes.
Leo halted in surprise.
Judging by Arlene Dan’s expression, she seemed not to recognize him at all. Her eyes were filled with coldness and wariness rather than familiarity.
Could it be that she had lost her memory?
At that moment, Dragon Well Locks began to change.
