He placed her gently on the plush sofa, his tall frame leaning over her, his presence overwhelming.
His kiss was intense and urgent today as if he had a hunger that only she could satisfy.
Caught in the whirlwind of his passion, Bianca had no choice but to surrender. She gripped his collar with one hand while the other pushed against his strong chest.
“Mr. Evans!” Bianca exclaimed, pushing him back gently to catch her breath. “Please… not so intense. I might not be able to handle it.”
Dave’s chest rose and fell with quick breaths, still caught up in the intensity of their kiss. He looked down at Bianca, taking in her cuteness and intelligence, a sight that always seemed to draw others to her.
A strong desire to keep her all to himself surged within him.
“You can’t handle it?” Dave asked with a smile, his deep eyes fixed on her flushed face.
He loved how she blushed quickly, her shyness and gentleness revealing a girlish charm that he found irresistible.
Bianca bit her lip, feeling unsure. “It’s just… I’m still on my period.”
Dave raised an eyebrow, puzzled yet curious. “And that means?”
“Um… Well…” She squirmed, her cheeks getting warmer, but she kept her eyes on his. “It’s just that… it might be uncomfortable if things get too intense.”
Concerned, Dave sat up, gently placing his hands on her shoulders as he looked at her with worry. “Are you okay? Are you in pain?”
Her embarrassment deepened under his caring gaze.
She lowered her head, fidgeting with her fingers. “No, that’s not exactly what I meant…”
Dave furrowed his brow briefly, then understood.
He pulled Bianca into his arms and whispered in her ear, “Are you thinking what I’m thinking right now?”
With a playful grin, he asked, “Hmm?” It made Bianca feel like her heart was melting.
She couldn’t resist him. Frustrated, Bianca placed her hands on Dave’s chest and pushed him away.
Pouting, she complained, “I thought you were a gentleman. Why are you being so mischievous now?”
Squinting playfully, Dave looked at the annoyed girl in front of him and chuckled. “Do you prefer the serious me from the past or the mischievous me now?”
“I…” Bianca realized she had walked right into a trap!
Before she could respond, Dave leaned in closer, his face inches from hers, locking onto her clear eyes. His breath brushed against her cheek, his laughter tinged with boldness. “Or maybe… maybe you love both sides of me?”
“Dave!”
Bianca couldn’t argue with him about that. She kicked him lightly and shot him a glare, her cheeks flushing.
Gently holding her wrist, Dave pulled Bianca into a comforting embrace. He nestled his head in her sweet-smelling hair and soothingly assured her, “Okay, I’ll stop teasing you. Let’s just stay like this for a while.”
Resting his head against her neck, he rubbed her back gently.
Bianca’s heart, which had been racing, calmed in his tender embrace. She wrapped her arms around him in return.
“Are you… Are you okay today?” Bianca felt that something was different. Not only had he kissed her passionately, but he also seemed unusually affectionate.
Dave held her even closer as if wanting to meld her into his own body.
“Bianca,” Dave’s deep, soothing voice whispered softly in her ear. “You’re mine now… From now on, stay away from those troublemakers.”
Upon hearing his words, Bianca realized he must have seen the day’s hot topics. He was jealous!
Bianca held him tightly with her delicate hands and explained, “Someone deliberately spread rumors about Blake and me online to create a scandal and make me lose the bet. Mr. Lopez’s tweet was just his opinion. I was surprised when I saw it, too. The dance I had with Blake at the dinner party was innocent. Everyone was dancing, so it was nothing unusual. And we had dinner together that evening because…”
“Well, no need for more explanations. I get it. I understand perfectly.”
How could he pretend not to know what she had said?
Knowing everything only made Dave feel worse, doubting himself and his feelings for Bianca.
If he couldn’t trust her, how could he imagine a future with her?
He had been struggling all day, holding back his desire for her and the uncertainty in their relationship. Finally, he sought release through this assertive action.
He wanted her to kiss him with more passion and show a deeper longing for him.
It seemed that only through this could he feel that she truly belonged to him and was his alone.
Bianca gently stroked his back and whispered, “I love you, and you’re the only man I care about. You mean everything to me. So please, trust me more, okay?”
Listening to her tender words of love and earnest plea, Dave held her closer. He kissed her neck softly, then trailed kisses up to her soft cheek.
Finally, he gave her a gentle kiss on her lips and looked into her eyes. He closed his eyes and declared, “Of course.”
A delighted smile spread across her face.
She suddenly smirked and teased, “You’re so cute when you’re jealous.”
He seemed surprised by her comment, widening his eyes before chuckling. “If you keep saying that, I might have to prove it.”
Bianca’s cheeks turned bright red instantly, and she pushed him away. “Stop saying things like that.”
Amused by her reaction, Dave stood up and looked at her. “Are you hungry? I’ll cook today. What would you like?”
“Hmm…” After thinking for a moment, Bianca answered, “Anything you make is good. I enjoy whatever you cook.”
Dave leaned down and gently tapped her nose. “Miss Scott, when did you get so sweet? But remember, you can only be sweet to me, not to anyone else.”
“You’re so bossy!” Bianca pursed her lips, but her eyes still twinkled with a smile.
With a grin, Dave turned and walked into the kitchen.
The next day, when Bianca arrived at work, she quickly got absorbed in her tasks.
At noon, as she was about to submit a document, she heard her colleagues chatting the moment she stepped out.
“I’ve heard Natalie got her old instructor from Skiyton Film Academy to help with her acting.”
“I would’ve totally forgotten Natalie went to Skiyton Film Academy if you hadn’t mentioned it. It’s one of the top film schools globally! So many Hollywood stars come from there!”
“No wonder Vincent cast her as the lead right after she graduated. She’s perfect for the role!”
“Sophia doesn’t have any formal acting training or go to an acting school. How could she compete with Natalie? She got lucky and became famous before, but Natalie will surely outshine her in the upcoming audition. Looks like Bianca is heading for a major setback.”
