Chapter 110: A Long Post On Twitter

Hearing this, Bianca couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
“But, Bianca…” Diana grinned mischievously. “Who’s the other guy in the photo? What’s your connection with him? Is he your boyfriend?”
Bianca felt there was no reason to keep her relationship with Dave a secret from her best friend. Just as she was about to confess, she heard Diana’s excited exclamation.
“Bianca, look! Mr. Lopez just tweeted!”
Vincent seldom appeared on Twitter, usually saving his tweets for times when he was promoting his movies. If he was tweeting now, it likely had something to do with today’s events.
Bianca felt a flutter of excitement in her heart. Quickly, she said, “I’ll look into it. Bye.”
After ending the call, Bianca hurriedly logged into her Twitter account. There, she discovered a long post from Vincent, which was a rare sight in itself.
“Hello, everyone. I’m Vincent Lopez.
I want to thank you all for the attention my new movie has been getting lately.
I strongly believe in the freedom for young people to love and find the right partners.
However, there have been untrue rumors spreading online, linking them incorrectly to the casting of the female lead in my upcoming film.
I’m here to set the record straight.
The casting for my movie is not connected to anyone or anything specific. To clear up any confusion, I’ve decided to hold an open audition and livestream it next week.
This time, I’m leaving the choice up to the audience to decide on their preferred leading actress.
Thank you for your attention. Once again, I appreciate your support for my new movie.”
As soon as Vincent’s post hit the internet, it caused a huge stir, dominating the top searches and sparking intense discussions.
“Did Vincent just indirectly confirm Bianca’s relationship with his godson?”
“Moreover, to address any lingering doubts about the casting decision and rumored relationship, he’s gone to the extraordinary length of having the two Best Actress winners perform together in a public setting. This is a remarkable move in the history of film development.”
“This is typical Vincent. He’s always been principled. Most would have immediately denied the rumor, but Vincent’s unexpected stance, gracefully acknowledging the relationship, shows his remarkable integrity.”
“But why is Bianca getting all this attention? Vincent not only acknowledges her but is ready to accept her as his godson’s girlfriend.”
“Bianca is smart, beautiful, and talented. I’m already a fan, no doubt about it.”
Reading the comments under Vincent’s tweet left Bianca momentarily stunned.
She was amazed that Vincent didn’t just deny her relationship with Blake but actually indirectly confirmed it. What’s more, he chose to address any confusion by publicly holding auditions.
She had considered clarifying her relationship with Blake, but now it felt like going against Vincent’s approach.
Overwhelmed, Bianca massaged her temples and turned off her phone, deciding to put the situation on hold for now.
Her immediate focus was on meeting with Sophia to plan how they could ensure success in the audition next week.
Sophia had been out of the acting scene for the past five years, and Bianca was worried about how quickly she could regain her top form.
Putting her work aside, Bianca left the office.
On the street, she flagged down a taxi. Unexpectedly, a blue sedan pulled up next to her, and Blake greeted her with a smile as he rolled down the window.
Seeing Blake, Bianca was momentarily surprised.
Blake’s bright smile greeted her. “Bianca, are you heading out?”
Bianca nodded. “Yes, there’s something I need to take care of.”
“I have free time today. Hop in, and I’ll give you a ride,” Blake offered, motioning for Bianca to join him in the car.
Knowing the recent rumors about her and Blake were still making waves, Bianca politely declined, “Thank you, Blake, but I’m fine. I can easily get a taxi.”
“It’s rush hour, and getting a taxi won’t be easy,” Blake remarked, glancing at the bustling street. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a group of reporters gathering near the entrance of Phoenix Entertainment. “They’re probably here for you. Hurry, get in the car.”
Seeing the reporters, Blake urged Bianca to join him quickly.
Bianca looked back at the building and saw the reporters swarming the gate. She could faintly hear her name in the commotion. The unexpected presence of reporters at the company caught her off guard, filling her with anxiety about the potential disruption of her carefully planned day.
Without hesitation, Bianca opened the car door and swiftly climbed in.
Blake started the car with determination and quickly drove away from the reporters.
Once they were out of sight, Bianca breathed a sigh of relief. She glanced over at Blake, who looked comfortable in the driver’s seat, wearing a creamy white shirt under a stylish coffee-colored overcoat.
After Bianca told Blake where she needed to go, a quiet calm settled between them, broken only by the gentle hum of the car’s engine.
Following the events of the previous night and the ongoing online chatter, Bianca felt a bit tongue-tied in Blake’s presence. Sitting in the passenger seat, she nervously played with her fingers, creating a slight sense of awkwardness.
Suddenly, the car stopped at a red light. “Oh, by the way,” Blake said unexpectedly. He reached over and pulled out a bouquet of flowers from his side, offering them to Bianca with a soft smile. “I saw these on the way and thought they’d suit you, so I got them.”
“Sunflowers?” Bianca admired the vibrant bouquet, their golden petals glowing with vitality and warmth.
Blake looked at Bianca tenderly. “Despite the challenges, sunflowers remain tenacious and resilient, always turning towards the sun, patiently waiting to bloom. Just like you…”
Unspoken emotions lingered in the air.
Taking Blake’s gesture as a source of support, Bianca accepted the bouquet gratefully, her eyes calm and composed. “Zoey used underhanded tactics to try to undermine me at Phoenix Entertainment. Blake, I’m sorry you got dragged into this. I’ll address the rumors soon. Thank you for your encouragement. I won’t let you down.”
Seeing Bianca’s sincerity in her bright eyes, Blake paused, swallowed, and then said hesitantly, “Actually, I…”
As the traffic light turned green, Blake focused on driving again. He changed the subject. “By the way, did that guy bother you last night?”
Bianca blushed, remembering her meeting with Dave the night before. She tucked her hair behind her ear and replied softly, “No, he didn’t.”
“I’m glad to hear that,” Blake said, glancing at Bianca. He noticed a gentle smile on her face when she mentioned the man, and he felt a hint of something unspoken, something he had kept inside for too long.
Ultimately, he could only offer a wistful smile, reflecting a quiet admiration, much like the symbolism associated with sunflowers.
