Blanca Roach couldn’t help but laugh out loud, reaching out and fiddling with the tiny fingers of the little person in her arms, tucking her whole into the arms of the person next to her, her mouth rambling.
“Little Alice, go coax Daddy yourself, he’s even jealous of you now.”
The little man was amused, his chubby fingers hooked the tie and wouldn’t let go, the whole person stuck in Matthew Grant’s arms like a glutinous rice ball.
Blanca Roach looked at the two people beside her, and the happiness and joy in her eyes couldn’t help but come out.
She pouted slightly and said with a smile.
“What the heck, clearly Alice likes you better.”
“The daughter definitely prefers her father.” Matthew Grant teased the person in his arms, but freed his other hand to wrap around her waist, lowering his voice: “But it still doesn’t stop me from being jealous.”
His lips lifted, the pleasing color evident on his face, and he took the waving little hand into his.
“Little Alice, I only have one wife, and if she stays with you, she can’t stay with Daddy, don’t you think so?”
“What does she know at such a young age.” Blanca Roach blushed slightly and held the little person back, snapping, “You don’t want to teach her badly.”
With that, she put the person back on the crib and piled the little toys in a circle.
She loved to see Alice’s happy face when she played with the toys, as if the air brought a light-hearted atmosphere, and one could not help but laugh along with her at the sight.
Matthew Grant followed her and plopped down on the edge of the bed, lowering his voice in her ear.
“Didn’t you say you were going to take Alice to early childhood school yesterday? Why are you going to work again.”
“I didn’t want to either.” Blanca Roach sighed and simply leaned her head sideways on his shoulder, “But today I had to go see those nasty people.”
“The James family’s gone over?”
Matthew Grant’s voice had a distinctive magnetic quality, especially now that the two men were leaning together, their voices mixed with ambiguous hot air nestled in their ears.
The voice made Blanca Roach froze a little, and it took a moment before she responded with a light cough and a sigh of relief.
“Yeah, but I don’t want to see her,”
“If you don’t want to see her, you don’t want to see her.” Matthew Grant wrapped her shoulders into his arms, his words laced with accommodation, “In the future, tell the front desk that anyone from The James family will not be seen.”
He said it simply, without leaving any room for error.
There is nothing more important to him than his little woman, not to mention The James family, who have bad ideas all the time, and he will have to get rid of them sooner or later, and there is nothing to keep.
But now is not the time, can only wait until a certain time to uproot everything.
“Well, she’s just trying to come over to my place, so how can I let her get away with it.”
Blanca Roach hooked a smile, raised her hand to rub the side of Matthew Grant’s face, and spoke lightly.
“On the other hand, you have been worrying about me and busy with the company, it’s really hard for you, husband is so good.”
She said so with her mouth, but the feeling at the bottom of her heart did not know how to express, only felt that she owed too much.
“Then don’t spend more time with your husband.” Matthew Grant took her hand into his palm, “You don’t even know to wait for me after work.”
“I know, from now on I’ll call if you don’t come on time, okay?”
Blanca Roach smiled coquettishly, half tilted her head and fell into his arms, her hand grabbing her tie and swaying back and forth, softening her tone.
“By the way, let’s go to my mom’s for lunch tomorrow, she hasn’t seen Alice in a while.”
“It’s all up to you.”
Matthew Grant echoed her words, but a haze crossed his eyes and his hand tightened a bit.
