What was said last night?
Shelly looked down at her toes, thinking about what she had said last night, and suddenly a phrase flashed back in her mind.
She had only told Matthew Grant that she wanted to apologize to Blanca Roach, but she didn’t expect that Matthew Grant would actually tell her that, and now she was the one who was at a disadvantage.
She coughed, her face full of disdain.
“Blanca Roach, you don’t really think I’m going to apologize to you, do you?”
“Why not?” Blanca Roach shrugged her shoulders and looked at her good-naturedly, “You said that in front of the entire The James family and The Grant family, and for me not to take it seriously is not to look down on you for saying it.”
She said it calmly, without the slightest hint of anger.
She hadn’t taken it to heart when Matthew Grant had told her about it last night, because she knew Shelly very well as a person, but it was just a statement to make a show, where she would really apologize to her.
“Don’t get ahead of yourself, I’m definitely not going to apologize to you!”
Shelly eyes more anger, hand on the armrest of the sofa to grasp fiercely, heart full of cynicism.
Why should Blanca Roach be able to look all smug and proud in front of her when she had Matthew Grant behind her, and that was something she couldn’t have?
But only now and not in the future, she will make sure Blanca Roach leaves Matthew Grant.
“Blanca Roach, I came by to give you a little notice.” She said with mockery in her eyes, adjusting her posture and raising her eyes, “Thanks to this incident, the engagement party has been moved up and you have to make the style to my satisfaction within three days.”
“Three days?” Miss Shelly, I’m afraid you haven’t figured out the situation yet.
Blanca Roach hummed lightly, not taking her words to heart at all, and her tone was light.
“The last time you came to my family’s villa, Matthew Grant has made it very clear that this is our engagement gift to you and Jim Grant, so when and what you send, it has nothing to do with you.”
“You!”
Shelly was so angry that she gritted her teeth, but in the end she couldn’t say anything and just grimaced.
After hearing what Blanca Roach said, she remembered the attitude expressed by Matthew Grant that day, except for signing a contract, the money was not from them, as a gift given.
She surprisingly did not remember this sentence, but let Blanca Roach choked her speechless.
“Mrs. Grant, it’s not right for you to say that.” Adelina then spoke up, her words were defensive, “My cousin is about to get engaged, even as a gift she will wear it at the engagement ceremony, if the timing and style is not right …”
“I understand what Adelina said.”
Blanca Roach squeezed out a fake smile and put her hand on the table, without the slightest concession.
“Since Miss Shelly is afraid that the time and style are not right, she can go to another studio now and make sure it is done quickly and well, and Matthew Grant and I will naturally send a different gift.”
Shelly didn’t respond, narrowing her eyes with a cold look under them.
If this went the way Blanca Roach wanted, wouldn’t that mean she got nothing, and this time, even if she couldn’t nitpick, it would take Blanca Roach’s time and effort to finish.
She followed up by hooking a smile, wrapping her arms around her chest and easing her tone.
“Since it’s a gift from you and Matthew, I certainly can’t let you down, it’s just that this jewelry was after all worn at The Grant family’s engagement party, and the people we met were no ordinary people.”
Blanca Roach faked a smile and said one word at a time.
“Don’t worry, the gift I gave out will naturally not disgrace me and Matthew Grant.”
