The entire The James family living room was silent, barely audible.
Blanca Roach stared across the room at the sudden appearance of the person, instead pursed a smile, did not confuse themselves.
“Naturally it’s important, concerning why you showed up at my studio that day with a group of rights-holders, and justifiably accused of suspecting me.”
“I know quite a few people who happen to have bought jewelry from you, and I just wasn’t called over to say a few words for them.”
Adelina’s tone was light, and in one sentence, she lightly shifted the responsibility on herself cleanly.
She curbed her smile, scanned the people in front of her from side to side, and spoke sternly.
“The Grant family despises us, The James family!”
“Yes! It’s obvious that you The Grant family thinks The James family is easy to bully! There must be an explanation for this today!”
Lane James was angered and slapped the table, his face red.
“Matthew Grant, you’re not good enough to talk in front of me, go get your grandfather or this won’t be over!”
“Uncle Lane, what you say applies to yourself as well.”
Matthew Grant looked cold and seemed to have little reaction to the sudden change, still unruffled.
He half leaned on the arm of the sofa, his eyes sweeping over Adelina, his words carrying a cool edge.
“Adelina, does your husband know about the acquisition you’re making?”
“This …” Adelina did not expect to be asked this way, a trace of panic flashed under her eyes and her tone was unsteady, “Naturally, I know.”
“Is that so? Do you want to make a phone call to prove it?”
Adelina frowned slightly, realizing that this was a trap, and opened her mouth to retort.
“There’s no need to report to you, President Grant, about our family, and besides, I don’t even need to report to my husband about what I’m going to do!”
“Then why did my dad get a complaint call from Mr. Jacques?” Matthew Grant raised his eyebrows, his gaze like a torch, “Adelina you contradict yourself in what you say, so who is really lying?”
“You! President Grant, please don’t change the subject.”
Adelina’s heart tightened, feeling as if she was about to be set up for something to say if she continued.
She put her arms around her chest, stared at Matthew Grant, and slowed her tone down to question.
“President Grant, you can’t explain why you framed my cousin, so you’re thinking of changing the subject?”
With that, she winked to the side, her face slightly smug.
Shelly immediately pulled Lane James’ arm and pouted, with a pitiful look of being wronged.
“Dad, why don’t you even trust your daughter? I didn’t do anything and then I was approached by someone like this, I feel so aggrieved.”
“It’s okay, Shelly, Dad will definitely give you justice this time.”
“Mmm.” Shelly nodded, squeezed out a tear and looked sideways at Blanca Roach, “Blanca, I was about to call you sister-in-law, we have no grievances, why are you doing this to me?”
Blanca Roach secretly rolled her eyes and gave a dry laugh.
What was it now, not only did they put the hat back on their heads, but were they thinking of selling out?
She shrugged, her tone casual.
“Miss Shelly, I didn’t want to, now that we have all the evidence in our hands pointing to it being you, why don’t you reflect on it yourself.”
“You! You forceful words!”
Shelly was so angry that she even held back her tears, slapped the sofa fiercely, and turned her head to pout at Lane James again.
“Dad, you see, in the end it’s your daughter who is being bullied.”
