“Did the Kaur family upset you again?”
Rose saw Flynn enter with a stern face and knew there had been another disagreement.
“It’s all because of you. Why did you let them in? From now on, unless it’s Mr. Kaur, I don’t want to see anyone from the Kaur family!” Flynn said irritably.
He had been in a good mood until the Kaur family showed up in the middle of the night, causing endless annoyance.
Rose shook her head and frowned. “I always thought you had some feelings for Madeline. Even if you couldn’t be a couple, being friends wouldn’t be bad. I didn’t expect things to turn out this way.”
For over a month, she had been busy with company matters and wasn’t too familiar with Flynn’s personal life. She assumed that since Flynn agreed to marry Madeline, he must have some feelings for her. Therefore, when Madeline asked Marcel about the contract at Crimson Star Hotel, Rose decided to help Flynn by sending Madeline to Plenilune Mountain to see for herself. Once she knew Flynn lived in Thodell Mansion, everything would become clear. But even after going there, Madeline remained the same, leaving Rose puzzled.
“Friends? I don’t think so!” Trusova suddenly walked in with an angry expression. “Ms. Sharp, do you know how the Kaur family treated Mr. Clark? On the day of the divorce, they celebrated with drums and firecrackers as if it were New Year’s! They set off dozens of boxes of fireworks!”
“They even said they got rid of a jinx and that the Kaur family would soar high immediately.”
“And Madeline didn’t stop them!”
“They don’t deserve to be Mr. Clark’s friends!”
Rose’s eyebrows furrowed deeply upon hearing this and she looked at Flynn in disbelief. Drums and firecrackers? Ridiculous! Excessive! Flynn had helped the Kaur family so much, and this was their joyful response?
Madeline, oh Madeline! Do you know what you’re doing? Flynn isn’t a jinx; he’s a god of wealth! If they treated him well, the Kaur family could easily become a billion-dollar empire!
And they said they would soar high? Did they latch onto someone important?
Rose was confused about what the Kaur family was doing.
“Let’s not talk about the past,” Flynn raised his hand to stop them and said calmly.
Trusova was still somewhat angry and said unhappily, “I can’t stand how they treat you. The Kaur family is excessive, and Madeline even more so!”
Flynn remained silent. Because of Matteo’s relationship, he didn’t want to discuss the rights and wrongs of the Kaur family; it wasn’t necessary. Wasting words on them wasn’t worth it-they were just ants!
If it weren’t for Mr. Kaur, he wouldn’t even glance at them.
Seeing that Flynn didn’t want to talk more, Rose turned to Trusova and asked, “Sasha, do you have something else?”
Trusova’s expression brightened as she smiled at Rose. “Ms. Sharp, Acebegron Clear Relief has gone bust, and our Break Alliance Pill has sold out.”
“We wanted to ask if we can go home now.”
Rose was momentarily stunned but then smiled apologetically. “That’s my oversight; I’ve been so busy that I forgot about it.”
“Your R everyone has worked hard.”
“In this battle against Swanson’s Group, your R&D department has made significant contributions. Especially you, fighting while injured-I’m very grateful.”
“How about this: The R&D department will get a bonus of one million dollars this month. I’ll discuss with Minister Katrina how to distribute it.”
She then checked the time and smiled. “It’s already 2 AM; notify everyone to go home and rest. The R&D department will have a day off tomorrow!”
Rose had required the R&D employees to stay at the company to prevent any leaks of the Break Alliance Pill formula. Now that Acebegron Clear Relief was settled, there was no need for secrecy anymore.
“A million dollars! There are only eighteen people in our R each will get at least tens of thousands!”
“Ms. Sharp, you’re different from other capitalists! So considerate! On behalf of the R&D department, thank you!” Trusova said happily.
Rose smiled slightly. “Effort deserves reward; it’s what you all deserve.”
“If there are any other requests from the R&D department regarding salary or benefits, feel free to ask.”
With ten thousand boxes of Break Alliance Pill worth billions in her hands, Energence Pharmaceuticals was now very wealthy.
Giving out a million dollars as bonuses was just a drop in the bucket.
Trusova nodded and smiled. “Ms. Sharp’s salary and benefits are already excellent; we’re very satisfied.”
“We’ve also learned a lot of medical skills from Mr. Clark; everyone is very grateful.”
After speaking, she glanced at Flynn somewhat shyly and added, “But if we do have one request… The company made three billion dollars today by taking down Swanson’s Group, and both Ancient Formula Returning Heart Pill and Bone-Cleansing Pill are in production.”
“Energence Pharmaceuticals is getting stronger; how about we hold a celebration party?”
Rose was momentarily stunned but then smiled warmly. “A celebration party is just an excuse; you all really want to have dinner with Mr. Clark!”
“Alright! Let’s have an all-company celebration party three days from now!”
“What do you think, Mr. Clark?”
Flynn thought for a moment before saying, “Sure! I’ll be there!”
Trusova immediately became excited and happily said, “Great! I’ll go notify everyone-Ms. Sharp, goodbye! Mr. Clark, goodbye!”
With her open personality and direct way of expressing emotions, Trusova went up and kissed Flynn on the cheek before leaving the office joyfully.
Flynn touched his cheek where her lipstick still lingered and watched Trusova’s voluptuous figure as she left-the tight jeans hugging her curves made him raise an eyebrow.
“The R each one likes you so much that they want to invite you for meals every day,” Rose said softly.
“Isn’t that better than some people who always wear a cold face and aren’t even willing to treat me for a meal?”
“I invited but got no response; in the end, my car was taken away,” Flynn glanced at Rose with grievance.
Thinking about yesterday’s events made Rose’s eyes squint with laughter.
She ran her jade-like hand through her dark hair and smiled charmingly: “Didn’t I agree today? Once everything settles down, I’ll treat you to a big meal and pour wine for you.”
Flynn pouted and shook his head: “Helping you regain five companies might earn you ten billion dollars.”
“And all I get is one meal? Your food must be too valuable for ordinary people!”
Rose chuckled sarcastically: “Mr. Clark should correct his attitude! You’re here to repay kindness; how can you always think about returns?”
Flynn shrugged his shoulders pitifully: “But I’m hungry! My stomach is growling right now!”
Rose couldn’t help but roll her eyes as she got up to leave the office.
“Hey! No need for that-it’s just one meal; if not treating me makes you mad?” Flynn called out in frustration.
Rose paused and turned back: “Who said I’m mad? I’m just going to use the restroom before treating you to some late-night snacks!”
“That’s more like it-I’ll wait downstairs!” Flynn grinned as he followed her out of the office.
Recently Rose had been smiling more often and speaking less coldly-this made Flynn happy.
He wasn’t too concerned about business matters.
Currently what worried him most was Rose’s state of mind-only by making her more cheerful could she handle upcoming challenges because Kevin didn’t have much time left.
Maybe within half a month Kevin would pass away-a blow devastating enough for Rose that could lead to many complications…
