Chapter 375: The Call

They all turned to the man sitting there, their faces full of shock and a hint of curiosity.
This was something an ordinary person could never achieve!
Jaime was a local tyrant in Stresall, and the Edwards family wielded immense power. Getting the authorities to release such information was no simple task.
Yet Quentin had done it.
Charlotte was stunned. “You… Jaime is dead?”
“I was shocked too,” Quentin said. “I guess it was a case of dog-eat-dog. The newspapers reported it as a suicide out of guilt. We handed over the items and left.”
“Afterwards, it must have been the priceless items that caused internal strife among them.”
“They got what they deserved.”
Hearing Quentin’s explanation, the others didn’t say much more.
Quentin didn’t want Charlotte to know his bloody revenge. Some burdens he preferred to bear alone.
Jaime was his father’s killer. Even without today’s events, he would have sought revenge eventually.
Quentin said, “With Jaime dead, the Edwards family and Time Group are leaderless.”
“Now is the time to strike…”
“As soon as this news spreads, the Edwards family’s stock price will plummet. They will soon be in chaos.”
Quentin calmly analyzed, “In the next few days, the Edwards family’s stock price will drop by more than half, leading to a complete collapse…”
They looked at Quentin in disbelief, not understanding why he was so confident.
“The stock market is unpredictable. It will drop, but no one can say by how much.”
“And even if Time Group’s value drops, it’s still a billion-dollar company.”
“Even if it falls by half, we don’t have the money to buy Time Group.”
Charlotte thought to herself that this must be a joke.
Quentin just smiled and said no more.
He intended to utterly destroy the Edwards family.
As for billions in funds, he could mobilize them in no time.
After all, he had more than one ace up his sleeve.
Even Jaime couldn’t completely annihilate the Edwards family.
“Since we’ve already taken a small step forward, let’s continue to watch and wait,” Quentin said with a faint smile. “How can we know if we don’t try?”
Riya spoke up, “After all, you now have the Heavenly Fragrance Collection, a top-tier asset in the beauty market.”
“Otherwise, why do you think the Edwards family was so desperate to get it?”
Charlotte was taken aback. “Riya, you…”
Riya said, “I’ve given it to you; don’t refuse. In our hands, it would only gather dust and bring us trouble.”
“But in your hands, it might shine and honor our ancestors. Besides, this was our agreement.”
“If you don’t accept it, then I, Riya, would be breaking my word. Charlotte, don’t put me in that position.”
Charlotte wanted to refuse again, but Quentin said, “In that case, we won’t be polite.”
“However, Riya, this gift is too valuable for us to take without compensation. Charlotte would feel uneasy.”
“Let’s sign a contract. The usage rights go to Charlotte, and we’ll split the profits fifty-fifty.”
“What do you think?”
“Thirty-seventy,” Riya said. “I just want to live a peaceful life now.”
“Fifty-fifty,” Quentin insisted. “Otherwise, we can’t accept it.”
“Alright!” Riya thought for a moment and nodded.
She was grateful for Quentin’s approach. Although she had agreed to give it to Charlotte, she still felt some reluctance since it was her Shannon family’s legacy.
But Quentin’s method satisfied both parties.
His way of handling things was decisive yet prudent-truly impressive!
She gave Quentin another look.
Suddenly, Quentin’s phone rang. He glanced at the number and smiled wryly. “I’ll step out to take this call. You guys continue talking.”
He walked out and answered the phone. A sultry voice came through from the other end. “Handsome Quentin, what brings you to call me?”
