Airport.
Blanca Roach sat in the lounge area pushing her stroller, dutifully waiting for someone to return from picking up her plane ticket and checked luggage.
Being really bored alone, she was just about to look down to tease Alice when she heard someone call her name.
“Blanca, why are you here alone?”
“You’re finally here, Selina, I’m too bored to sit here alone.”
Blanca Roach, with a smile on her face, took Selina’s hand and gave her the seat next to her, glancing at Charles White next to her, her tone light.
“Why are you still here? Have the plane tickets and suitcases been taken care of?”
“Sister-in-law, you are treating it differently.”
Charles White draped his jacket, which was half on his arm, over Selina and leaned over to sit next to her with a leisurely tone.
“I’m not as hands-on as your President Grant, the assistant will take care of everything.”
“Selina, you need to pay attention.” Blanca Roach took her hand and said half-jokingly, “Now that your Charles White is so lazy, be careful he doesn’t help you with the kids.”
Selina was provoked to laugh lightly and slowed down her voice.
“It’s still early to talk about bringing up the child at this time.”
Although the words were said, she couldn’t help but glance at Charles White next to her.
Would the two of them really make it that far? Or would she really be able to accept him as the baby’s father by then?
The three of them waited for a while before Matthew Grant walked into the lounge with his ticket, and it was almost time to board.
Blanca Roach was holding Selina on the side, staring at Charles White from behind.
This time she had to find out what kind of a relationship these two people had, otherwise she always felt it was weird to say anything between them.
When she entered first class and passed by other seats, I don’t know if it was an illusion, but it seemed like she saw a familiar person.
“What’s wrong?”
Matthew Grant asked as he glanced behind him and turned around when he saw the person suddenly stop walking.
“Nothing nothing.” Blanca Roach shook her head, “Let’s get going, we’ll be in someone else’s way in a minute.”
It would take more than ten hours between S-Town and Hawaii, so in addition to taking care of herself there was also Alice to take care of.
Blanca Roach gave Alice a small bottle of milk and watched her sleep through the night before getting up from her seat.
She met the questioning gaze of the man next to her, leaned over and whispered in his ear.
“I’m going to go to the bathroom, you keep an eye on her.”
“Hmm.”
Matthew Grant nodded, put the papers down in his hand and gave her the right of way.
The plane was so quiet that Blanca Roach walked to the bathroom and was just about to touch the doorknob when another person squeezed her out of the way.
Carolyn stepped in front of her and ruffled her hair, her tone mocking.
“Mrs. Grant, what a coincidence.”
“You are?”
Blanca Roach stared at the person with sideways glances, and after half a day of thinking, she barely remembered who this person was and grimaced.
“Is there something wrong? Please don’t cut in line if there’s nothing, I need to use the restroom.”
“Mrs. Grant is so forgetful.” Her eyes were full of anger, her face was red and her tone was unkind, “We’ve met several times.”
The last time she was at the early childhood school, she looked like she didn’t know anyone.
If it weren’t for The Grant family, she would never have come into contact with the upper class like her, and would never have had the chance to stand here and give herself a look.
Blanca Roach stared back at her, her tone cold.
“Do I have to remember who you are? Or are you worth remembering?”
