Matthew Grant sank his face and reached out to squeeze Blanca Roach’s knuckles, his tone easing slightly.
“Idiot, didn’t I say I’d pick you up when I was done?”
“Then you’re too late.” Blanca Roach frowned and followed his words, “Next time don’t come over if you do that, I can go back by myself anyway.”
“I won’t, don’t worry.”
With that said, Matthew Grant looked up at the group of people frozen in place, each with a sense of panic and overwhelm.
He frowned, how come every time he was not there, his little woman had to be bullied, was it because his maintenance and favoritism, was not obvious enough?
“Remember, I Matthew Grant only have this one wife, whoever crosses her is crossed with me The Grant family, next time, weigh the consequences before you speak!”
“Got it, got it.”
The pile of people who were still crowded in the same place were pushing the baby stroller away, their steps were messy, and the classroom was empty in a short time.
Matthew Grant cleared his throat and spoke in a serious tone.
“Next time you encounter one like this, don’t be polite, I’ll bear all the consequences.”
“Got it.” Blanca Roach couldn’t help but laugh out loud, leaning on his shoulder with a casual tone, “I don’t even want to be normal with people like that, if everyone had to be cleaned up by me, I’m afraid I’d be famous in S-town.”
“But my wife can’t just be bullied either.”
“With your words who dares to bully me.”
Blanca Roach raised the corner of her mouth, looked at the little person sleeping not so peacefully in the stroller, and changed the subject.
“Well, let’s go back first, she’s tired from the class, go back and let her rest.”
“Today is my fault, so all listen to madam.”
The early childhood school was not far from the villa and the two drove to the door only to see another car.
Mrs. Brown greeted them from inside the house, glanced inside and lowered her voice.
“Young master, ma’am, it’s The James family coming over, saying they want to make amends and apologize or something, I couldn’t persuade them but let them in.”
“Good, you take Alice down first.”
Matthew Grant’s face was gloomy, looking down at the person beside him, and asked in a low voice.
“Do you want to see them? If you don’t want to see them, just go upstairs through the back door and I’ll go talk to them.”
“I… Let’s go together.”
Blanca Roach reached out and took his arm, afraid he would try to get angry again like he did last time.
She also knew that Matthew Grant was doing it solely because he didn’t want her to be aggravated, but The Grant family was so big that offending anyone, let alone The James family, was a potential threat.
In the past, she and Shelly were just a woman’s fight, but after involving The James family and The Grant family, things are not so simple.
“Then just stay with me, I’ve got it covered.”
Matthew Grant patted her hand and lifted his leg into the house, looking coldly at the three people on the mouth couch, his tone reticent.
“I’ve got a lot of activity here today.”
“Ah Matthew, you’re back.” Lane James immediately brought a smile and stood up from the sofa, “We have been waiting here for a while, but this villa of yours is really nice.”
“Uncle Lane is too kind.”
Matthew Grant just nodded to him lightly and sat sideways, with no intention to continue the pleasantries with him.
“Ah, what’s wrong with that, I quite like the decor.”
Lane James’ face stiffened, then followed and sat down where he was, smiling dryly.
“This place is also much better than your old house, otherwise you don’t still have to take nearly an hour’s ride to get to …”
“Uncle Lane, you didn’t come to my place to gossip, did you?”
