Chapter 1261 : The Big Oops

Book:Mr Grant, Please Be Gentle Published:2024-5-29

Elizabeth Harris stood with her arms around her chest, far away from the man across the table, and her tone was stern.
“Got business to discuss? Do we have to come here?”
“Why can’t we come here! Forgive my ignorance, but this restaurant does not seem to be the property of your The Harris family.”
“No, so what if it’s not?” Elizabeth Harris choked on a glare and slyly said, “We can’t both be in the same place anyway, and I’m upset to see you.”
Peter Murray looked at her and couldn’t help but hook an imperceptible smile, his eyes scrutinizing.
“That’s not true, Miss Harris, I was here first, and you’re the one who has to go first.”
“You’re a big man and you want me to go as a woman?”
Elizabeth Harris was so angry that she narrowed her eyes, raised her volume, and her tone became yin and yang.
“The President Murray of S-Town, can you be a man!”
“What kind of man are you to me?” Peter Murray stared at her, his tone teasing, “I’m only a man in front of my people, everyone else is casual.”
“You, shame on you!”
Elizabeth Harris held her words for half a day and only cursed out this sentence, her face was red with anger.
I didn’t expect that after she had been abroad for so long, this Peter Murray had not learned anything, but had become more and more thick-skinned.
She was about to turn around and leave, but she saw Blanca Roach and Matthew Grant on the side, and didn’t know whether to leave or stay.
After all, it was Matthew Grant himself who invited her to The Harris family today, so she couldn’t just show up, have a fight with someone, and leave.
Blanca Roach blinked and hurriedly went over from the crowd and grabbed her arm, sounding anxious.
“Hey, Elizabeth what are you doing here, we’ve all been waiting for you in the private room for a long time, come in with me.”
She said, while pulling Elizabeth Harris towards the outside of the crowd, she gave Peter Murray a look.
But Peter Murray averted his gaze, looking as if he had done nothing wrong, and stayed where he was to watch them both.
What’s wrong with him molesting his fiancée? He hadn’t done anything wrong at all.
Elizabeth Harris stepped aside, not forgetting to glare back at him.
She knew Blanca Roach was giving her a hard time, and she wasn’t interested in dwelling on it, but Blanca Roach could have come out earlier and not let her be verbally molested in the end.
“Why didn’t you come out earlier?”
“Hmm?”
Blanca Roach didn’t expect Elizabeth Harris to talk to her just like that, and froze for a moment, saying as an afterthought.
“Missy, I have to know why you guys are fighting, right? And I don’t think Peter Murray was really trying to argue with you.”
“What do you mean, not really trying to argue with me.” Elizabeth Harris sounded agitated, “It’s obvious he’s the one who keeps pestering.”
“Okay, okay, you’re right.”
Blanca Roach could only follow her words with certainty, but her face snickered.
There was a saying that the authorities were obsessed, and it was so appropriate to say that it was the two of them.
One likes and doesn’t know it, the other likes but has to draw a line between the two, this is simply a pair of happy people.
“Okay, okay, we’re at the private room.”
Blanca Roach was just about to coax the person beside her into the private room when she saw someone walking on her way.
“Why are you following me?” Elizabeth Harris was really staring at him again as if she had exploded, “I told you you were following me.”
Peter Murray didn’t retort, sidling around them and opening the door to the next booth, hooking the corner of his mouth and sounding polite.
“I am in this private room to talk about work, not to disturb your dinner, Miss Harris.”
