The studio was not very far from home, and Blanca Roach could have driven herself back.
But every time Matthew Grant insisted on picking her up, so she was content to wait and go back with him.
But today, when Matthew Grant arrived at the studio, he was told that “President Roach had left half an hour ago”.
A fold fell between his eyebrows, and his mind tumbled with thoughts.
What was wrong with this little woman today?
Blanca Roach sat down on the sofa, arms around her chest, looking at the tall figure approaching with a pale expression.
He didn’t utter a word until he came up to him.
“What’s wrong?” Matthew Grant looked down at her with worry in his words, “Did someone bully you?”
“No.”
“Then what’s wrong? Tell me, I’ll do what I can to make sure I do.”
Matthew Grant half-crouched in front of her and took her face in his hands, forcing her to look straight into his eyes.
He had been married to her little woman for so many years that he knew her little emotions all too well.
As soon as she opened her mouth, he knew that this woman was probably gambling with him again, not knowing where she had heard some information and waiting to question him.
As expected, Blanca Roach sucked in her nose, stared straight at him, and hastened to speak.
“That’s what you said.”
“Yes, it’s my word.”
Matthew Grant nodded, sat down beside her, gathered her into his arms, and lowered his voice, his tone helpless.
“Can you tell me what’s going on now, Blanca?”
“I want to hear the truth from you.”
Blanca Roach broke free from his arms and sat on the other side of the couch looking at him interrogatively.
“I asked you why you didn’t tell me on the day of the launch that the one who made a scene was Maryann, and why you defended her in disguise?”
Launch, Maryann …
Matthew Grant frowned back for a moment before remembering that there did seem to be such a person that day.
The only thing is that he was kicked out by Curtis Irwin and subsequently terminated his contract with Empire Group, which had nothing to do with him.
Now, he was confronted by his own wife because of her.
He didn’t know whether to be angry or happy, but he could only grab Blanca Roach’s ankle and drag her into his arms.
“Where am I defending her? I’m clearly defending myself.”
Matthew Grant spoke with aggravation, pinched her face and said helplessly.
“Think about it yourself, I haven’t said a word to her on from the beginning to the end are so questioned by you, of course I want her to appear less in front of you, you remember how angry with me last time?”
“Where have I been angry? I don’t even remember last time.”
Blanca Roach couldn’t help but let out a laugh and reached back to rub Matthew Grant’s hair and stroke the crease between his eyebrows.
“I’m still reasonable, you see I don’t get mad once you explain it to me.”
“Okay, whatever you say.”
“So what did you let Curtis Irwin do with her?”
“Terminated her contract.” Matthew Grant’s tone was light, “She’ll pay the price if she doesn’t know any better herself.”
In the whole of S City, as long as he Empire Group does not want someone, it is approximately the same as unemployment, no other companies dare to use.
“What are you asking that for?”
Blanca Roach stared at him, pouting slightly, her eyes flashing with contemplation, and slowing her voice.
“Do you remember the day the model who was wearing the main model of the merchandise didn’t come over? I saw her today, and she said she was intentionally kidnapped that day.”
“You suspect her to be related to that Maryann?”
