Chapter 1248 : Baby’s heavy granddaughter

Book:Mr Grant, Please Be Gentle Published:2024-5-29

All afternoon Blanca Roach stayed in the nursery, not daring to leave a single step.
She used a fever-reducing patch on Alice and had to take her temperature every now and then, just in case something went wrong.
“Ma’am, why don’t you go take a break and I’ll keep watch.”
“No, Mrs. Brown.”
Blanca Roach waved her hand and rubbed her forehead with her hand, her face with obvious exhaustion.
“Mrs. Brown you go ahead and prepare dinner, I may have to keep watch for a while in the evening.”
“Yes.”
Mrs. Brown, with a worried face, put the glass of water in her hand on the bedside table and walked out of the room with a soft sigh.
In fact, Mrs. Brown and the young master are sometimes very similar, both are very stubborn, determined to do something and will not give up.
Matthew Grant came out of the study and saw Mrs. Brown coming out of the nursery, narrowed his eyes and asked.
“Where’s the wife? Still in there?”
“Yes, Mrs. said she had to keep watch during the night, but I was too tired to watch her.”
“Well, you go down first.”
Neither of them had gone to work today, but he had a video conference to attend in the afternoon, and it was now close to six o’clock when he came out.
It was amazing that this little woman had been in there for five or six hours on guard.
Matthew Grant’s face sank slightly as he walked to the door of the nursery and unscrewed the handle to look down at the person on the floor.
“Blanca, come out.” “Hmm?
“Hmm?” Matthew Grant?
Blanca Roach opened her eyes in a daze and pulled out a smile.
“Are you done with your work? I just took Alice’s temperature and it’s gone down, if … tonight”
“Got it.” Matthew Grant walked over and squatted in front of her, “I’ll keep watch at night, now you go out with me.”
“Husband …”
“It’s useless to call anything now, come with me to rest, no more sickness for you.”
Matthew Grant frowned and simply picked Blanca Roach up straight across the room and turned around and went out.
Outside, the servants were cleaning up, and when they saw them, they either kept their heads down and avoided them, or left with their tools.
“Put me down.”
Blanca Roach grabbed him by the collar and scanned the room, blushing faintly.
“It’s all been seen by others.”
“It’s in your own house, no need to be shy.”
Matthew Grant had a smile in his eyes and was just about to carry the person in his arms downstairs when there was a sound from the living room.
“Where is everyone? What happened to Alice?”
This one was … Grandpa’s voice!
Blanca Roach was startled, and hurriedly struggled off Matthew Grant’s body and trotted down the stairs.
“Grandpa, why are you here at this time? Do you want to join us for dinner?”
“What dinner or no dinner.” Alan Grant sat on the middle couch with his crutches, his tone anxious, “I came to see Alice, is she sick.”
“This …”
Blanca Roach didn’t know what to say, much less how the news had reached her grandfather’s ears.
Her eyes suddenly swept to Shelly standing next to her, and suddenly something dawned on her.
“Alice is fine.”
Matthew Grant somehow walked to Blanca Roach’s side, untraceable to cover her behind, tone flat.
“She’s just a child with a common cold and fever, and Blanca’s been keeping watch all afternoon, and the fever is gone.”
“The fever is gone? That’s good, then.”
Alan Grant took a sigh of relief, and his face became much better.
“I thought Alice had some serious illness, and came all the way from the old house, let me go see Alice later.”
“Good, then grandpa how did you know Alice was sick?”
